ya'll will get a kick out of this
i teach a college course
where i use "6 hats of supervision" - each hat is a different color, and the students take turns wearing a hat
the "white" hat = what we don't know, need more data
the "black" hat = caution, what's at risk?, judging, being ethical
a black adult male student said that this format was a microaggression b/c the black hat is referencing one "being cautious when coming into contact with a black person, for example, and crossing the street to get away from them"
