I worked for a printer 8 years…they could possibly be using the UV lights on the "ink" to determine that the "ink" is the same PMS color used by the contracted printer…or if it is a mixed ink..let's say black with (we'll call it) a dab" of fluorescent or tracer dye, and just run a line down the edge or just a pattern…no one would know…
and if you are counterfeiting the document…there would be no way of knowing…
