I don't think you can rule out a extremely virulent bio-weapon threat from China. Wuhan bio4 lab still up and running without WHO oversight allowed, AFAIK. Infect, then invade strategy? May be why Trump is pushing vaccination, IOW he's knows the threat but can't say why. Hard for me to square that circle ATM.

Real possibility, IMO, that there is a MAD situation currently in play. Lockdowns run unabated where I am (Europe), with lockdown severity keyed to reported cases. We just went to highly severe again. Makes me think the suits know there's something there, but don't know when the big one will be dropped.

Other funny thing is, we have hundreds of Chinese students in our town and they wear masks constantly as soon as they're outside, Locals just put them on to go into a store.
