German Ambassador Wants More Nazis? - 112 Ukraine Makes A Curious Little Translation Mistake

The privately owned media organization 112 Ukraine, recently banned by the government as 'pro-Russian', reports of a Nazi march in Kiev.

March dedicated to Waffen-SS Division Galicia held in Kyiv

On April 28, about 250 people marched in black embroidered shirts (vyshyvankas) on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Waffen-SS Division "Galicia" and came on the Independence Square in Kyiv. This was reported by Ukrainian News agency.

The march began near the Arsenalna metro station and ended near Independence Square.

The marching participants carried the emblems of the Galicia division, the flags of the Cossack Sich, the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps, flags with the Sun and the inscription Solaris with a cross inside the letter "o", flags of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN).

The marchers chanted: "Glory to the nation-Death to the enemies", " Glory to Ukraine- Glory to heroes!", "Under the sign of lion!", "Galicia - division of heroes"," Glory to the soldiers of the Ukrainian-Russian war"," One and only free Ukraine!"

Among the them were children. Most of those present were dressed in black embroidered shirts, some in white shirts or military camouflage, and people in plain clothes were also present.

I can not find any 'western' media that reported the march.

Anka Feldhusen, the German ambassador to the Ukraine, condemned it. But here is how 112 Ukraine reported that:

Matt Gaetz associate admits both men had sex with teen girl, report says

Joel Greenberg, a longtime associate of Rep. Matt Gaetz, admitted in a letter that both he and the embattled GOP congressman paid for sex — including with a minor, according to a report on Thursday.

The Daily Beast said it obtained three versions of a confession letter that Greenberg apparently wrote last year in an effort to secure a pardon from then-President Donald Trump.

In the handwritten letter, Greenberg allegedly revealed that both he and Gaetz were “involved in sexual activities” with a girl who was 17 at the time.

“From time to time, gas money or gifts, rent or partial tuition payments were made to several of these girls, including the individual who was not yet 18,” he wrote.

GOODBYE SUBURBIA: Joe Biden Targets ‘Exclusionary’ Neighborhoods Where White People Live

Last year during the 2020 election, President Donald Trump would frequently warn voters about Biden's plan for suburbia.

“Suburbia will be no longer as we know it,” President Donald Trump warned on the campaign trail. He told voters that Biden wanted to get rid of single-family zoning, laws which require that only typical suburbia homes may be built in residential areas, which he warned would bring “who knows into your suburbs, so your communities will be unsafe and your housing values will go down.”

Now, it seems, Joe Biden is proving him correct. In a White House issued ‘fact sheet’ for Biden’s radical infrastructure bill, he “calls on Congress to enact an innovative, new competitive grant program that awards flexible and attractive funding to jurisdictions that take concrete steps to eliminate such needless barriers to producing affordable housing.” Many believe this suggests Biden wants Section 8 Housing in suburbs nationwide, fundamentally changing the concept of suburbs.

Biden advocated for eliminating “exclusionary zoning” on the campaign trail last year, in the name of reducing racial inequity. Among other promises to institute and re-institute anti-suburban policies, Biden vowed he would “invest $300 million in Local Housing Policy Grants to give states and localities the technical assistance and planning support they need to eliminate exclusionary zoning policies and other local regulations.”

The move comes as something of a continuation of Obama-era policies. The 2015 Obama-era policy Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) essentially declared that majority white suburbs were the product of discrimination and discriminatory practice and required suburbs to reevaluate their practices if they wanted money from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

It is plausible that this is simply a grab for political power. Suburbs are historically more Republican, while those who benefit the most from Section 8 Housing trend Democrat. Biden may be trying to cement his party’s power by permanently cementing democrat control in areas which are already trending blue.

The infrastructure bill is expected to stall in the Senate. However, there may actually be bipartisan support for Biden’s plan to socially engineer the suburbs: establishment Republican Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA), who voted to impeach President Trump, said that suburban zoning restrictions “sometimes do great harm by pricing low-income and minority families out of neighborhoods and reducing the support of affordable housing for such families.” He went on to declare that “we should not keep American families in dilapidated and segregated housing projects.”

EU Report Accuses Russia, China of Sowing Mistrust in Western Vaccines

BRUSSELS—Russian and Chinese media are systematically seeking to sow mistrust in Western COVID-19 vaccines in their latest disinformation campaigns aimed at dividing the West, a European report said on Wednesday.

From December to April, the two countries’ state media outlets pushed fake news online in multiple languages sensationalizing vaccine safety concerns, making unfounded links between jabs and deaths in Europe and promoting Russian and Chinese vaccines as superior, the EU study said.

The Kremlin and Beijing deny all disinformation allegations by the EU, which produces regular reports and seeks to work with Google, Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft to limit the spread of fake news.

Russian and Chinese vaccine diplomacy “follows a zero-sum game logic and is combined with disinformation and manipulation efforts to undermine trust in Western-made vaccines,” said the EU study released by the bloc’s disinformation unit, part of its EEAS foreign policy arm.

“Both Russia and China are using state-controlled media, networks of proxy media outlets and social media, including official diplomatic social media accounts, to achieve these goals,” the report said, citing 100 Russian examples this year.

The EU and NATO regularly accuse Russia of covert action, including disinformation, to try to destabilize the West by exploiting divisions in society.

“A disinformation report that has no factual basis is in itself an example of disinformation,” the Chinese mission to the EU said in a statement dated Thursday in response to the report.

Russia denies any such tactics and President Vladimir Putin has accused foreign foes of targeting Russia by spreading fake news about the coronavirus.

D.C. statehood 'absolutely not' dead on arrival in Senate, says shadow U.S. senator

"We're engaged in serious discussions about whether or not we need to amend rules" to get around a Senate filibuster, said Paul Strauss.

Washington D.C. Shadow U.S. Sen. Paul Strauss told Just the News that the D.C. statehood bill is "absolutely not" dead on arrival in the Senate and that passing it is "politically possible" before the conclusion of the current session of Congress on Jan. 3, 2023.

"We're five votes away from a statistical majority, and we're engaged in serious discussions about whether or not we need to amend rules," said Strauss, referring to the rule change that would be needed to exempt statehood from the 60-vote burden needed to end a Senate filibuster. "I think we need to get those five members on board before we escalate to the level of the rule change, but no, it's absolutely politically possible.

"Look, in the last session, when the House voted on it and that statehood bill was sent to Mitch McConnell's Senate, yeah, I was the first to concede, okay, probably not going to pass. This is a very different ballgame. We have a president that supports it. We have a vice president that supports it. We have a majority of the caucus that supports it. We have the majority leader that supports it, and the American people support it."

Despite this, Strauss conceded passage of the statehood bill remains an "uphill battle" in this session of Congress.

"It's always been an uphill battle, and I've been at this, as you know, a long time … so the idea that we're literally five people away from a majority in the Senate, after having passed the House, is pretty significant," Strauss said. "I don't even know that we have to necessarily change minds. I mean, Senator Shaheen is one of the senators who is not yet on the bill but was a cosponsor of a prior version."

In addition to Shaheen, Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, Mark Kelly of Arizona and Angus King of Maine, an independent who caucuses with Democrats, are not currently signed on as cosponsors of the statehood bill in the Senate.

"It's just a question of educating them enough to get them to where we need them to be comfortable signing on as official support," Strauss said. "Now, when we get to that point, do we have to have a serious conversation about the filibuster? You betcha. But it's not worth engaging in that discussion yet because we need the 50 senators, plus the vice president, to get us to the magic number 51, which is significant to us in every way — we need 51 people to help us become the 51st state."

All of the cosponsors on the House statehood bill that passed are Democrats, as are all Senate cosponsors of the measure.
