The St. Louis City budget board approved a $4 million cut in funding to the city police and the elimination of 98 unfilled police jobs in this years budget bill.

This comes after St. Louis saw its highest homicide rate in 50 years. The unsolved murders occurred overwhelmingly in impoverished black neighborhoods in the city.

The murder rate in St. Louis City hit a 50-year high in 2020.

Mayor Tishaura Jones praised the police budget cuts arguing that the defunding of police will help tackles “some of the root causes to crime.”

Evidently, it’s the cops’ fault.

This is pure insanity coming from the left today in cities across the US.

The manifesto posted online for SoCo (Sonoma County) Radical Action or SRA says, “Do not hesitate, do not wait … the brick in the street is meant to be thrown! The paint in the can is meant to be sprayed! The cop in your head is meant to be killed!”

The Trump supporter was able to join the group that communicates through the encrypted messaging app Wickr.

Infiltrator: “I said, ‘Comrade, you know, I, I want to smash the system the same as you,’ you know, make them not feel alone, because that’s what they really want to hear to know that there’s more people like them.”

He saved messages, documents, and recordings of their meetings.

The I-Team has learned the group’s leader who goes by the screen name “Marb” is a 25-year-old college student, who was arrested for “felony assault on a police officer” last year at this Oakland riot after the death of George Floyd; the district attorney declined to file charges. The Trump supporter says he made this recording in March, when Marb discussed naming the group “SoCo Antifa.”

The Carnival is Coming to Town! Suddenly Booked and Now Open Right Next to Where the Maricopa County Election Audit Is Taking Place

ABC reported that on Monday a carnival was announced that will take place at the state fairgrounds:

While the 2021 Arizona State Fair will be held at Wild Horse Pass, part of the Gila River Indian Community in the fall — a temporary move in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, officials said — the fairgrounds will host a carnival with some of the rides, games, and foods that fair-goers would typically see.

On Monday, the Arizona State Fair announced the “Crazy Times Carnival,” a 10-day event that will be held nightly from 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds, near 19th Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix.

Admission will be $5 or $40 for an unlimited ride wristband. There is no parking fee.

Jennifer Yee, a spokesperson for the Arizona State Fairgrounds, told ABC15 that RCS Fun (Ray Cammack Shows), a longtime partner of the Arizona State Fair that provides many of the rides, games, and concessions at the annual event, is the company behind the carnival and is essentially using the fairgrounds as the venue.

She said Banner Health ended its COVID-19 clinic earlier than expected and Ray Cammack Shows had an opening in its schedule, which is how the event came to be.

Ray Cammack Shows held a carnival in March in the parking lot of the Phoenix Premium Outlets, near Interstate 10 and Wild Horse Pass.

ABC noted that any additional security for the audit is the responsibility of the auditors:

Also happening at the fairgrounds, the Arizona state Senate’s audit of the state’s 2020 election technology and 2.1 million ballots. That audit is happening inside the Arizona Memorial Coliseum, which is theoretically within walking distance of the carnival.

Yee did not address security concerns in an email late Monday and deferred those questions to Ken Bennet, the former Arizona Secretary of State and the person hired to monitor the Senate’s audit.

People are concerned about the location and timing of this carnival.

Australian police seize over HALF A TON of liquid meth disguised as cooking oil from Mexico

Police in the Australian state of Victoria have opened an investigation after they seized 540kg of liquid methamphetamine hidden among more than 9,000 canola oil bottles imported from Mexico.

The drugs, worth AU$80.7 million (US$62 million), were discovered concealed inside a shipment of thousands of canola oil bottles sent from Mexico to Melbourne, according to the Australian Federal Police (AFP). The shipment arrived in Victoria on March 3 and police identified it as suspicious and seized the 9,360 bottles. Later tests confirmed that 269 of the bottles contained methamphetamine, more than half a ton in total, rather than canola oil.

The AFP says this is the second-largest haul of meth to be seized in Victorian history, after an operation last November found 560 kg of liquid methamphetamine worth AU$123 million (US$95 million). It was stashed inside a large consignment of mustard bottles flown from the US city of Chicago. Four alleged members of a transnational criminal syndicate were charged.

The AFP said the latest seizure was another example of the extreme lengths organized criminal groups were prepared to go to in order to import illicit substances into Australia. However, according to AFP Regional Commander Craig Palmer, the police possess sophisticated technology that enables them to find the drugs regardless of where they are concealed.

“If criminal organizations have thought of it, chances are, we have seen it,” he said in a statement published on the AFP’s website.

US begins much-touted ‘withdrawal’ from Afghanistan… by sending MORE troops & gear for ‘temporary force protection’

The US military has begun its withdrawal from Afghanistan, the White House said, pulling out after occupying the war-torn country for more than 20 years. For now, however, troop levels will grow to “protect” the departing forces.

The White House confirmed that the exit had begun on Thursday night, with deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre telling reporters on Air Force One that “a drawdown is underway.”

“Potential adversaries should know that if they attack us in our withdrawal, we will defend ourselves, [and] our partners, with all the tools at our disposal,” she said, adding that the American presence would temporarily grow before a final pullout.

While these actions will initially result in increased forces levels, we remain committed to having all US military personnel out of Afghanistan by September 11, 2021.

Multiple long-range B-52H Stratofortress bombers were made available to CENTCOM, the US military command that covers the Middle East and Central Asia, CNBC reported, while a Navy carrier strike group is also in the region to provide support if needed.

While former President Donald Trump had signed a deal with the Taliban last year that committed the US to a full withdrawal by May 1, 2021, his successor, Joe Biden, scrapped the agreement, instead pushing back the deadline to September 11. The Taliban previously vowed to resume attacks on US forces if all foreign troops were not out of the country by May, warning Washington would face “compounded problems” after Biden announced the later date earlier this month.

Beyond military involvement, the Biden administration has given itself a tall order in the country, with officials announcing a new plan to rewrite the Afghan constitution, arrange fresh elections and ink a power-sharing deal between the Taliban and the Kabul government last month. It remains to be seen what will come of the project, as months of bilateral negotiations in Qatar have made little progress in reaching a long-term peace deal between the two parties.

Tesla Just Paid Back $614 Million In Loans It Received For Its Shanghai Gigafactory

As the ongoing soap opera between China and Tesla continues - with the Chinese government looking as though it may be less-than-amused with boy wonder "visionary in chief" Elon Musk of late - it appears that Tesla may also be working to separate its ties from the Chinese government.

The company has paid back $614 million in loans that it took out for the Shanghai Gigafactory, according to Tesmanian, citing the company's recently filed 10-Q.

Tesla's 10-Q stated:

"In April 2021, we fully repaid the $614 million in aggregate principal of our secured term loan facility in connection with the construction of Gigafactory Shanghai (the“ Fixed Asset Facility ”) and the facility was terminated."

The company also noted that it no longer had access to $758 from a fixed asset facility as a result:

"After the termination, the $758 million of unused commitment under the Fixed Asset Facility included in the debt and finance lease table as of March 31, 2021 above was no longer available."

The UK plans to roll out certificates that act as proof of Covid-19 vaccination and testing status so that people from England can travel abroad freely from May 17, as Europe gets ready to welcome British tourists.

Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Covid-19 Vaccine Deployment Nadhim Zahawi told ‘BBC Breakfast’ that a number of foreign nations are requesting some form of Covid-19 certification, which can be proof of vaccination or a negative test result.

Zahawi said that the NHSX – a National Health Service unit responsible for apps and data sharing – was working on making vaccination passports “operationally possible” by May 17. “Clearly a number of countries are going to do this – we’d much rather do it in a co-ordinated way,” he said.

May 17 is when the UK government wants to allow international leisure travel from England for the first time in 19 weeks. Secretary of State for Transport Grant Shapps said on Thursday he was “quite positive” about the plan, adding that he will chair a G7 meeting next week where international Covid-19 certification will be discussed further.

Shapps confirmed that authorities were working on letting UK nationals use the existing NHS smartphone app to demonstrate their vaccination and testing status abroad. However, the BBC cited a government source on Thursday saying that the app would not be ready “imminently.”

One of the most popular tourist destinations for UK travellers is Spain. The Iberian nation’s government told UK newspapers this week that British nationals will be allowed to visit Spain in June, but only if they have a digital vaccination certificate or a negative Covid-19 test result. Greece and Portugal said they will ask UK tourists to present certificates as well.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that international travellers will be allowed into the country from June 9 if they carry a “health pass” that would serve as evidence of vaccination or a negative test result. Abducted teen daughter of Newark anti-violence activist found dead

The kidnapped 15-year-old daughter of a Newark, New Jersey, anti-violence activist has been found dead in South Carolina, according to her family and the local sheriff.

Sanaa Amenhotep — the daughter of Brick City Peace Collective member Sharif Malik Amenhotep — was found Thursday after a three-week search, officials announced.

“My first heir Sanaa Mahari Amenhotep I can’t believe she gone from us,” her father wrote on Facebook alongside a series of family images.

“You shattered the hearts of my entire family the pain I will never be the same,” wrote Amenhotep

“I’m sorry Princess I didn’t protect u,” he also wrote. “I promise u will never ever leave my heart or mind … I would lay down my life for u … I love u so much,” he wrote.

Amenhotep — whose group aims to “reduce violence and strengthen relationships between law enforcement” in Newark — had traveled to South Carolina to help in the search and put up a $10,000 reward.

His teen daughter was last seen April 5 when she left her house in Columbia with another teen girl and two males, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said.

She is believed to have gone with them voluntarily but “once she was with them it then turned into a kidnapping,” Lott said.

Lott said deputies believe the girl left voluntarily with the group to begin with, “but at that point once she was with them it then turned into a kidnapping.”

EXPOSED: Biden’s CIA Director Claims He Cut Ties with Chinese Communists, But His Group Maintains Links.

Despite President Biden’s Central Intelligence Agency Director Bill Burns testifying he cut ties to a Chinese Communist Party-linked influence group, The National Pulse can reveal the controversial relationship between the Carnegie Endowment – formerly led by Burns – and the Chinese Communist influence group continued through 2021.

Burns became president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in March 2015 and claimed, during Senate confirmation hearings, that he merely “inherited” the think tank’s longstanding relationship with the China-United States-Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).

CUSEF is part of the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front Work Department, which seeks “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party” and “influence foreign governments to take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing’s preferred policies,” according to the U.S. government.

Purporting to be “increasingly worried about the expansion of Chinese influence operations,” Burns, who currently leads the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), was adamant he cut Carnegie’s ties with CUSEF “not long after” he began his tenure.

Burn’s statements, however, are at odds with a report published by the Carnegie Endowment on April 8th, 2021: “China-U.S. Cyber-Nuclear C3 Stability.”

“This paper was produced through a three-year dialogue led by Carnegie and the Shanghai Institute for International Studies, with inputs and review provided by American and Chinese technical and military experts,” a Carnegie press release reads, revealing the project began in 2018.

The Shanghai-based, Chinese Communist Party-run think tank working alongside the Carnegie Endowment admits “financial support” from CUSEF fueled the endeavor. As Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, buries in the 61-page report:

The Biden regime’s plans to invest $174 billion into the production of electric vehicles, as Biden called for on Wednesday, and somehow transfer the entire U.S. vehicle fleet to electric-only powertrains suffered a severe blow on Wednesday after General Motors’ announcement.

“At a time when General Motors is asking for a significant investment by the U.S. government in subsidizing electric vehicles, this is a slap in the face for not only UAW members and their families but also for U.S. taxpayers and the American workforce,” United Auto Workers Vice President Terry Dittes said in a statement.

Dietz also called GM “unseemly” for asking for U.S. government subsidies while moving to make vehicles outside the U.S.

Cops Arrest Christian Pastor for Reading From the Bible, Citing “Homophobic Comments”.

A 71-year-old Christian pastor and grandfather was arrested in London on the charge of making “homophobic comments” for preaching on what the Bible says about marriage.

John Sherwood, pastor of 35 years at an independent evangelical church in north London, was arrested after police officers were told he was “making homophobic comments outside Uxbridge Station in west London.”

He was preaching outside the Uxbridge Tube station. Sherwood said he was bruised by officers who pulled him down from the “mini-stepladder” he was standing on and “cuffed his hands behind his back.”

The arrest was made for Sherwood’s “allegedly homophobic comments” under a vague section of the Public Order Act, which stipulates that action be taken if one’s “abusive or insulting words” do “harm” to someone else. The charge against the pastor was that he was “allegedly causing alarm or distress” to others. The police had received several complaints about the pastor’s language, according to the Daily Mail.

“I wasn’t making any homophobic comments, I was just defining marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman. I was only saying what the Bible says – I wasn’t wanting to hurt anyone or cause offence,” Mr. Sherwood explained. “I was doing what my job description says, which is to preach the gospel in open air as well as in a church building.” A later Facebook post on a Christian group says that Sherwood was preaching on Genesis 1, saying that there were only two genders and that God had intended men and women to join into families headed by one man and one woman.

Approached by the police, Sherwood told them, “I was exercising my religious liberty and my conscience. I was forcibly pulled down from the steps and suffered some injury to my wrist and to my elbow. I do believe I was treated shamefully. It should never have happened.” A video taken of the incident shows officers dragging Sherwood down from the ladder after the pastor refuses to get down, and Sherwood apparently struggling to get out of the officers’ grasp, while onlookers advise police to “take it easy with” the “elderly” pastor. Another onlooker seems to mock Sherwood’s Christianity. In the video, the police roughly cuff Sherwood and take him away.

Sherwood said that he was “grilled” by police later concerning his opinions on “gay people,” and even questioned as to what he would do if his own children were gay. Sherwood insisted, “The question was irrelevant to the allegation against me. I said I would seek to bring them to Christ, but of course I would love them no matter what, because they’re my children.”

“A Met Police spokesman said its directorate of professional standards had assessed video footage of Mr. Sherwood’s arrest and had found no evidence of misconduct by officers,” according to the UK Daily Mail.

Mayor Suddenly Quits After Police Chief Fired for Allegedly Not Writing Enough Tickets

Mantua, UT — Everyone reading this article right now knows what it is like to have the blue and red lights pop up in your rear view mirror. The last thing going through your mind at this point is the feeling of ‘being protected.’ This feeling comes from the fact that the overwhelming majority of the time a driver sees police lights in their mirror is because they have been targeted for revenue collection—often the result of a quota system—and they are about to be given a ticket, or worse.

Police, we are told, are here to keep us safe and protect us from the bad guys. However, public safety all too often takes a back seat to revenue collection. Time and time again, the Free Thought Project has exposed quota schemes in which officers were punished for not writing enough tickets.

The state is has become so addicted to the endless stream of revenue generated from preying on people for victimless crimes like window tint, seat belt violations, license plate lights, expired stickers, and air fresheners, that when this revenue slows down, heads will roll. This appears to be the case in Mantua, Utah where the chief of police was reportedly fired for not writing enough tickets.

Last month, Mantua police Chief Michael Castro was summoned to a meeting with the mayor on March 25. During this meeting, he was handed a letter stating his employment with the city is now on probation. The letter accused Castro of not writing enough parking tickets and failing to answer calls for service. It was also filled with false claims which were later proven to be lies by the very people it mentioned.

“About halfway through reading it,” Castro said, “I told them that I wasn’t going to sign it or continue reading it because it was not accurate.”

Mayor Michael Johnson then immediately fired Castro.

“I believe I was terminated because I did not go along with making my officers have a quota for citations,” Castro said in an interview with FOX 13.

According to FOX 13, Mantua sits in northern Utah on a stretch of road where U.S. highways 89 and 91 merge. The speed limit on the highway is 65 mph. The town has such a reputation as a speed trap, it was a reason the Utah Legislature in 2018 passed a bill banning ticket quotas at police departments.

Castro explained that as soon as he started as chief in Mantua, the mayor and a least one other city council member would push him to write more tickets. This is the reason Castro believes is what got the town known as a speed trap.

CDC issues guidance for evaluating post-vaccination COVID tests at a lower standard

We've watched throughout the country as entire families are forced into quarantine because one classmate of a child tests positive for the virus without exhibiting any symptoms. Lives destroyed without any due process or evidentiary standards that they are even infected.

Last August, the New York Times reported that so many PCR tests were netting false positives because they used more than 30 cycle thresholds (CTs) of amplification, often as many as 40-45 before finding a positive culture. To this day, the CDC has refused to change its guidance on the use of high CTs in determining positive results, needlessly forcing so many people, particularly asymptomatic children, into quarantine for no reason. Well, now the agency has finally changed its guidance — but only when it suits cronies.

In a notice on its "COVID-19 vaccine breakthrough case investigation," the CDC announced its plan to study the prevalence of "breakthrough cases," meaning those who contract the virus even after having been vaccinated. Yesterday, former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson noticed this little gem in the guidance for determining those infected post-vaccination: "Clinical specimens for sequencing should have an RT-PCR Ct value ≤28."

Alas, the CDC has suddenly discovered the power of cycle thresholds on PCR testing in determining whether the positive results are real or meaningful. But here's the problem: Where is this guidance when it comes to non-vaccinated people? As Berenson points out, a standard of 28 CTs applied to the general testing regime would preclude as many as 90% of cases from being recorded, especially when the virus is in low circulation.

Almost eight months ago, the New York Times reported that cultures detected in 27 to 34 CTs seldom reveal any live virus, and specimens detected above 34 CTs never show any live virus. Most research shows that any virus that is detected only through a CT level above 25, and certainly above 30, is very likely to be a false or meaningless positive. This is why a Portuguese judge recently ruled that any positive test that used more than 25 cycle thresholds is not reliable and cannot be used to force quarantine.

Each cycle threshold doubles the level of amplification of the previous CT. Thus, a CT of 40 is 1,024 times the amplification of a CT level of 30 (210 =1,024) and 32,768 times that of a CT of 25 (215=32,768). Clearly, not all positive results are equal, and knowing the CT level of your positive result is of utmost importance.

Thus, the CDC is correct in not wanting false positives to work against the reputation of the vaccines, but why is it OK for false positives to work against the livelihood of Americans? Why is it that only when it comes to the reputation of the vaccines do they suddenly discover the science of false positives? Based on the current CDC standard, the entire contact tracing regime, even to the extent one maniacally believes they can trace a virus that 40% of the country already contracted, should be overhauled.

Just how destructive is the problem of false positives? Biostatistician Jon Deeks posted data from Public Health England showing that as many as 62% of the positives among British schoolchildren in recent weeks were false.

Florida Passes New Elections Bill Adding Restrictions To Vote-By-Mail And Ballot Drop Boxes

Florida’s Republican-controlled Senate on April 29 passed a new bill that places several restrictions around vote-by-mail and ballot drop boxes.

The bill, SB 90 (pdf), was passed in the state House 77-40 and in the Senate 23-17. It now goes to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is expected to sign it.

If signed, it would require signature verification for voters, provided by a “wet signature” physically signed on paper kept on file, and access to drop boxes would be limited to early voting hours unless they are located at election supervisors’ offices. Drop boxes would also have to be monitored in-person by an elections official, and ID would be required when dropping off ballots.

Other aspects in the bill include limitations on who can return a finished mail-in ballot, preventing election officials from entering consent agreements, and requiring voters to request a mail ballot every election cycle, rather than every two, as under current law.

The legislation would also ban anyone from “engaging in any activity with the intent to influence or effect of influencing a voter” but allow election supervisors to provide “non-partisan assistance,” such as giving items, including food and water, to voters within the restricted zones.

The bill also requires supervisors to set and publish drop box locations 30 days before the election. Those locations cannot be moved for any purpose.

SB 90 was amended from a previous stricter version which had originally banned drop boxes completely.

DeSantis has previously expressed his support for enacting stronger election integrity protections and providing unprecedented election transparency for Florida residents.

Joe Biden Distracts, Blames Trump, for His 2021 Migration Crisis

The 2021 migration flood is merely a “god-awful mess at the border,” and it was caused by former President Donald Trump, says President Joe Biden, whose deputies are actively opening the border to migrants from all over the world.

“Biden said his administration inherited “one god-awful mess at the border” from former President Donald Trump,” USAToday reported April 30, adding:

He said it’s the result of “the failure to have a real transition — cooperation from the last administration, like every other administration has done.”

After the November election, Biden said that he dispatched his transition team to meet with the officials leading the major departments across the government.

“The two departments that didn’t give us access to virtually anything were the immigration and the Defense Department,” said Biden, who added that his team didn’t know until he was sworn into office that Trump had fired many people from those departments and they were “understaffed considerably.”

But the crisis is not just a “mess at the border” caused by crowded facilities with too many child migrants and too few government minders.

The crisis is the economic and civic harms imposed, by Biden, on ordinary working Americans — and on foreigners — with the support of pro-migration zealots, such as Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

Under Trump, adult and child migrants caught at the border were quickly stopped and usually flown home, mostly to their homes in Central America. Trump’s deputies used a wide variety of regulations, diplomatic rules, and emergency declarations to bypass open-borders pressure from Democrats and judges.

This policy combination pushed up wages for Americans, massively shrank the migration pipeline run by the coyotes and cartels, and it minimized the trauma, kidnappings, and crimes suffered by migrants on their treks to the border.

Trump’s humanitarian policy also minimized the extraction of young workers from Central America. That low-migration policy provided a better foundation for economic growth and the emergence of democracy in the troubled region.

Under Biden, however, Mayorkas and his deputies are carefully extracting more migrants — mostly adult men — from Central America via a wide variety of side doors in U.S. immigration law.

Biden’s unpopular, exploitative, and destructive strategy means many poor migrants are first separated from their families — often for many years — and many suffer or die in the federal government’s chaotic “migration-by-separation” process:

Single adult economic migrants are being allowed to make repeated efforts to sneak through the border, and if caught, are merely returned to the 5-yard line in Mexico, instead of being flown home.

Youth workers and the children of illegal migrants are being admitted via the “Unaccompanied Alien Child” loophole.

The wives and children of illegal migrants are being allowed in, often without any requirement that they register as migrants with the federal government.

Single migrants and families from outside Mexico and Central America are allowed to work in U.S. jobs while they wait years for an asylum hearing.

Federal enforcement agencies have been largely barred from deporting migrants, ensuring any migrants who get past the border zone can takelow wages jobs throughout the United States.

The southern migration threatens to spike government-run migration far above the routine inflow of roughly 1 million legal immigrants.

Joe Biden: Stacey Abrams Can Be President or ‘Anything She Wants to Be’

President Joe Biden praised failed Georgia Democrat governor candidate Stacey Abrams on Thursday during a drive-in rally in Duluth, Georgia.

“Stacy Abrams can be anything she wants to be, from whatever she chooses, to president,” Biden said as he introduced Abrams and a handful of Georgia Democrats.

“I want to thank you, Stacey, for empowering the people to vote and to make their voices heard, you’ve been amazing,” Biden continued.

Abrams was once floated by Biden’s team as a possible running mate, but she publicly turned him down.

“I think you don’t run for second place,” she said on ABC’s “The View,” in March of 2019:

Abrams led the country protesting the new Georgia election security laws signed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, culminating in Major League Baseball canceling the All-Star game which was scheduled to be held in Atlanta.

In Sweden if You Refuse to Take the AstraZeneca Vaccine, You Could be Charged by the Government

The Swedish country of Kalmar has started charging lost costs to those who refuse to take the AstraZeneca vaccine when they turn up to their appointments.

Residents who refused the vaccine in the southern Swedish country out of concern about potential side-effects — widely discussed in the European mainstream media and by European governments in recent weeks — say they were charged 200 Swedish kronor (£17/$24) each when they refused to accept the AstraZeneca shot at the time of their scheduled vaccination appointment.

One couple who refused the vaccine earlier this month received a letter invoicing them for the appointment costs and have since filed a complaint with the Ombudsman for Justice (JO) over the matter, broadcaster SVT reports.

One of the complainants noted that he and his partner had risked exposing themselves to the Wuhan coronavirus by going to the health facility and would not have gone if they knew which vaccine they would be offered before the appointment.

“If I go to the store to buy pork but only get offered bananas, I should not be invoiced for the item I did not go there to buy – i.e., the item I never bought” the man stated in his report, claiming that the country deliberately withheld the brand of the vaccine it would be giving on any given day from the public.

Earlier this month, Marie Ragnarsson, vaccine coordinator in Kalmar County, noted that people would not be told which vaccine they are having prior to their appointments because accurate details could not always be given, as from day to day, deliveries may contain different brands of vaccines.

World leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have taken the AstraZeneca vaccine, while some European governments became critical of potential side effects of the vaccine and halted its rollout.

The prime minister of Sweden, Stefan Lofven, however, was revealed to have taken the Pfizer vaccine this week but stated: “I would have been happy with whatever vaccine I had been offered. As long as the authorities have recommended it.”

Feds Investigate Potential Gunfire Directed at National Guard in Texas Border Town

EAGLE PASS, Texas — A U.S. Customs and Border Protection source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, advises that Army National Guardsmen potentially came under fire Wednesday at their post overlooking the Rio Grande north of Eagle Pass, Texas.

The troops initially reported that bullets may have struck their elevated watch tower and rounds were heard whizzing by their location. They did not return fire.

The incident was quickly investigated by Border Patrol, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers, and local law enforcement.

Seven migrants were apprehended in the vicinity and separately confirmed hearing the gunfire. The seven reported seeing a person running along the river and quickly left the area after the shots were heard.

Further investigation reveals the rounds did not strike the elevated guard tower. The suspected runaway was not apprehended and remains at large. The incident is still under investigation.

Recently, several Texas counties signed emergency declarations regarding the migrant surge. Eagle Pass is the seat of Maverick County. On April 21, Maverick County Judge David Saucedo signed a similar declaration, requesting that military forces be deployed to bring the situation under control.

In part, the Maverick County declaration reads:

WHEREAS, the health, life, and property of the residents of Maverick County is under imminent threat of disaster from the human trafficking occurring on our border with Mexico. The ongoing border crisis has resulted in thousands of illegal persons entering Maverick County and overwhelming our local, state, and federal law enforcement. This continual illegal border crossings of individuals into Maverick County has resulted in residents of Maverick County encountering situations that causes harm to property and themselves.

A request for information from Customs and Border Protection and the Texas Department of Public Safety remains unanswered as of press time.

Speaking to CNN Thursday, Trump's former fixer called Giuliani an 'idiot' who has 'no relationship' with the ex president, who, he says, operates in a 'garbage can orbit'.

Federal agents raided the 76-year-old's apartment Wednesday, taking with them his electronic devices including computers and cellphones.

After news of the raid broke Wednesday, Cohen - who was also subject of a federal raid and would eventually plead guilty to eight federal counts - tweeted: 'Here we go folks.'

He said Thursday: 'He's [Giuliani] nervous and rightfully so. Rudy will give up Donald in a heartbeat. Donald will throw anyone and everyone under the bus.

'Rudy has been shady for a long time.

'We have no idea how expansive this investigation is going to ultimately reveal itself, because Rudy's an idiot. And that's the problem.

'Rudy drinks too much. Rudy behaves in such an erratic manner, that, who knows what's on those telephones or what's on his computers?'

Cohen was convicted in 2018 of campaign finance violations while working as Trump's personal attorney – he was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to nine charges.

Less than a year after his sentencing, Cohen was released from Otisville Correctional Facility in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic on compassionate grounds. He has been confined to his Trump Park Avenue apartment in Lenox Hill ever since July 2020.

Wednesday's raid signals a major escalation of the Justice Department's investigation into any possible violation of federal lobbying laws and the business dealings of Giuliani.

Giuliani, once celebrated for his leadership after 9/11, has been under federal scrutiny for several years over his ties to Ukraine. The dual searches sent the strongest signal yet that he could eventually face federal charges.

The Arizona Senate rented the Veterans Memorial Coliseum until May 14th.

Bennett was speaking outside the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, where contracted workers and volunteers are reviewing 2.1 million ballots cast in the 2020 election.

The audit also includes a review of 385 tabulators and other machines used last year.

Bennett was not able to provide an update on how many ballots have been counted in the audit. As of April 28, the number was just shy of 100,000.

New Study Predicts Massive Die Off Six Months After Testing Positive For COVID — To Cover Up Delayed Vaccine Death Wave

COVID-19 survivors allegedly have an almost 60% increased risk of death up to six months after infection compared with non-infected people, according to a “massive” study published in Nature:

“When we are accounting for COVID-19 deaths, the actual total of deaths is much higher,” Ziyad Al-Aly, director of the Clinical Epidemiology Center at Washington University in St. Louis and the head of Research and Education Service at Veterans Affairs St. Louis Health Care System, told The Jerusalem Post. He was the lead researcher on the study.

Most deaths caused by long-term COVID-19 complications are not recorded as COVID-19 deaths, Al-Aly said. As such, “what we are seeing now is only the tip of the iceberg,” he added.

To reach their conclusion, Al-Aly and his research team leveraged data from the electronic health databases of the US Department of Veterans Affairs. The study involved more than 87,000 COVID-19 patients: 74,435 users of the Veterans Health Administration who survived at least the first 30 days with COVID-19 after diagnosis and were not hospitalized; and close to five million VHA users who did not have COVID-19. In addition, it included 13,654 hospitalized patients with COVID-19 and 13,997 who were hospitalized with the flu.

The veterans were mostly men (about 88%), but there were still more than 8,800 women with confirmed cases who were analyzed.

All patients survived at least 30 days after hospital admission, and the analysis included six months of follow-up data.

Even those patients who were not hospitalized with severe disease could have health implications months later, the report showed. Ailments could include respiratory conditions, diseases of the nervous system, mental-health diagnoses, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal conditions, and poor general well-being.

“Even people with mild disease – some people who got COVID and seemed fine with just a fever and a cough – months down the road they have a stroke or a blood clot; some manifestation related to COVID,” Al-Aly said. “The risk is small, but it is not trivial.”

The report was concerning, Prof. Cyrille Cohen, head of Bar-Ilan University’s immunotherapy laboratory, said, adding that “in this study, we are not talking about severe cases. These are people who were not supposed to die at all.”

The risk of death and the associated health challenges increased with the severity of the disease, and hospitalized patients who required treatment in an intensive-care unit were at the highest risk for health complications and death, the study showed.

Among patients who were hospitalized with COVID-19 and who survived beyond the first 30 days of illness, there were 29 excess deaths per 1,000 patients over the following six months, or a 50% increased risk of death compared with hospitalized flu survivors, the study showed.

“It is really remarkable that such a virus can produce this huge number of long-term consequences,” Al-Aly told the Post.
