But last fall they were attacking daily. The only way to get on 8kun on some days was to TOR.

Not the TV series - Hollywood dumbed it all down to make sure the masses didn't understand what was happening. The books.
In the books you have a "stack" that records your entire consciousness from the moment it's implanted at birth. Meaning you can't die unless someone destroys your stack. So if you have enough money you can "re-sleeve" into a new body when something happens to the current one. But there is never any discussion of PRIVACY in the books because Big Data didn't exist back when it was written.
BACKSTORY - The author of these books, Richard Morgan, sold the film rights in the early 2000's after book one came out. He made a shit ton of money off the sale of those rights.
But it didn't get made until 2015-ish.
Why then?
Because this is the Plan. Only now, the technology exists to not only hook us all up to the internet but to see everything we do as we do it.
Richard Morgan isn't in on it. I know this for a fact. His imagination stumbled into their plan and they paid him an unreasonably large sum for the TV/Film rights to this story becausethis is their end game.
