I believe I've figured out why we are here… hear me out:

How do you keep a system working for you and in-check?

Throttling.

A chef must add just the right ingredients in order to not ruin the meal. What's left over after he's finished are dirty pots and pans. The chef does not care what happens to his tools just as long as his product turns out the way he wants.

A gun company must adhear to rules in order to sell commercial-grade weapons to the public in order for someone not to be able to murder an entire city in seconds. What's left over are parts, slag and throw-away prototypes. Again, the gun company does not care so much about the leftovers or even the interactions of the employees outside of their main functions - they only care about the product that is produced.

A drug company uses bacteria to produce antibiotics - they are bred to be "workers" for the drug company. Those bacteria are raised in a controlled environment and how those bacteria interact with eachother is inconsequential to the drug company; the drug company does not care how the bacteria "feel" about eachother - they only care that they are performing the duties which they inherently have no choice but to do. The drug company must control the number of bacteria added to the chemicals in order to generate the perfect product.

We are here cultivating something for another group. The group managing us does not care how we interact just as long as we do not find out what is being cultivated from us - things which we have no choice but to produce:

carbon dioxide

production of neurotransmissions

quantum field generation

heat generation

a soul upon death

…etc

We are being throttled to not use our full brain capacity, but it's there if "they" need it to gain more from us. Sometimes the throttling glitches and more capacity is used - we see this in generational geniuses, but for 99.9% of us, we are generally all pretty much the same, especially when reduced by hunger, fear, tiredness or sexual desire. If we were to use our full capacity, we would be "aware" (a la Eve and the apple) and therefore, be like God (alien).

The group cultivating our byproduct(s) do not care how we interact - it's inconsequential. In fact, interfering with how we interact with eachother could be "cost-ineffective" to them. It might even disrupt the byproducts we produce for them. This is why it seems that "God doesn't care" when we have wars, famine, pestelence…etc. It just doesn't matter because it doesn't interfere with the production of whatever it is we're producting for them.

This could be what "the end is not for everyone" means.
