Project Looking Glass
unlocking the Secrets of the Future using Blockchain Technology
Lets imagine I want to encrypt a file; I do so, and now I have two keys, the private key, and a public key. If I allow anyone to have the private key, they can use the public key to decrypt the file, and obtain an exact reproduction of the file I encrypted.
What happens if I encrypt another file in one weeks time? I will, once again have two keys, different to the first two, that can be used to decrypt the file to reveal the original file.
What happens if I encrypt another file in two years time? Same result, two different keys….
And in one thousand years from now? Two keys, right?
So lets imagine that, in fact, some bloke does encrypt top secret files, in one thousand years time, and he obtains two keys, that are used to encrypt/decrypt the files. Those two keys are specific, they will reveal the original file, and only the original file. Nothing else will happen, or can happen.
So what happens if I randomly choose a private key, and a public key, that just happen to be the same as the bloke' keys from 1000 years hence?
What will happen when I decrypt those keys today?
I will get an EXACT COPY of the files he will encrypt, IN ONE THOUSAND YEARS TIME.
