“It’s easy to yell at me, but I didn’t do this.”
“And if I don’t steal it, someone else is going to steal it.”

First Sentence:
Note the use of shocking / stupid statements, quickly followed by creation of doubt and challenging any questioning the statement, then shifting guilt to the questioner. A bit of intimidation as well, though masked.
Second Sentence:
Repeated proclamations of innocence to reinforce the shifting of guilt in the first sentence.
Third Sentence:
Reinforcing previous Shifting of Guilt and proclamations of innocence.
Fourth Sentence:
A distorted statement of justification.
