Iranian PM Mosaddeq nationalized the British-owned, Anglo-Iranian Oil Co. UK was furious and blockaded. Iran economy tanked. US presidents Harry Truman, and Dwight Eisenhower told Mosaddeq to negotiate with UK, he refused. Coup? Shah dismissed the PM to form a new government, Mosaddeq arrested the messengers, fired military officers, dismissed the parliament.
