A Swiss diplomat in Iran has died after mysteriously falling from a high-rise building, state media says

A Swiss diplomatic employee died after falling from a high-rise building in Tehran, Iran, multiple Iranian news agencies reported.

A national emergency spokesman told the semi-official Fars news agency that "a woman fell from a tower in Tehran and lost her life in the Kamaranieh area."

The spokesman said that the woman was the first secretary of the Swiss embassy and a Swiss citizen, and it was not clear what led to the fall.

The woman was the second-highest ranked employee at the embassy, Reuters reported, citing the semi-official ILNA news agency

Switzerland's foreign ministry said in a statement that an employee at the Iran embassy had died, but did not identify them, Reuters reported.

"The FDFA and its head Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis are shocked by the tragic death and express their deepest condolences to the family," it said.

News agencies reported the victim's age as either 51 or 52 years old.

Switzerland has represented US diplomatic work in Iran after the two countries cut ties after the 1979 revolution, Reuters noted.

Former MI6 spy Christopher Steele produced a 2nd dossier on Trump while he was president, report says

Former MI6 spy Christopher Steele produced a 2nd dossier on Trump while he was president, report says

The document also claimed that Russia had incriminating material on Trump, including a tape of him with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel room in 2013.

Some of its allegations have been proven true, though much still remains uncorroborated. Trump has denounced it as false.

The Telegraph, citing unnamed sources, reported that Steele produced for the FBI a second dossier on Trump during his presidency, which lasted from January 2017 to January 2021.

The Telegraph wrote that the second document "contains raw intelligence that makes further claims of Russian meddling in the US election and also references claims regarding the existence of further sex tapes."

The newspaper also said the second dossier relied on different sources to the first one. It also noted that the existence of a second dossier suggests the FBI was confident in the material in his first dossier.

Insider was unable to reach the FBI for comment, and has contacted Trump's office for comment.

Pedo protector deflecting.

Curious, is the script working to wake up anyone who has no clue yet? Or is it doing the opposite? Solidifying their false beliefs that Trump et al were all corrupt?

George Conway: I Think Rudy Giuliani Is In 'Deep S**t'

Republican gadfly George Conway offered a frank assessment of what may be coming for Rudy Giuliani, the former personal attorney to ex-President Donald Trump whose business dealings are now being probed by the FBI.

“I think he’s in deep shit,” said Conway, a vocal Trump critic throughout his presidency despite his wife Kellyanne Conway’s lofty position in the administration, on Monday’s episode of The Daily Beast podcast “The New Abnormal.”

Federal agents seized electronic devices in raids on Giuliani’s Manhattan home and office last week. The investigation centers on the ousting of Marie Yovanovitch from her job as U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, reported Reuters.

Giuliani denies wrongdoing.

But Conway said the fact the raids happened at all is a very bad signal for the former New York mayor.

“The Justice Department doesn’t like to execute search warrants on lawyers and the reason why they don’t like that is because they don’t want to get into messy disputes about attorney-client privilege,” explained Conway, a lawyer.

Conway detailed the extended process involved in obtaining search warrants on lawyers, involving specific permission from senior Justice Department officials.

“That tells you a lot here,” he added. “Because even though there’s a probable cause standard for any search warrant, where you have to show that there was probable cause that a crime was committed and that there’s a basis to believe that the executing the search warrant will provide evidence of that crime, in this case, they had to do much, much more than that.”

They allegedly left it behind. Guess it was supposed to invoke questions as to why they didn't take it, but the ones who should be asking won't think twice about it.

NYT Columnist Warns People Are Being Lulled Into False Sense Of Security

Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman on Monday warned of recent “chilling” developments within the GOP which he fears could one day have a catastrophic effect on the country.

“We are in real danger here,” Friedman told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

Friedman feared people are being “lulled” by a false sense of security because of President Joe Biden’s lower-key administration and its handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

But “our democracy is as threatened today” as it was when ex-President Donald Trump declared his intention to run for office, said Friedman, citing how most Republicans have in the last couple of weeks fallen in step with Trump’s 2020 election lies. Prominent holdouts Sens. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) and Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) are the exceptions to the new Republican norm, he noted.

“Subscribing to the big lie that this election was stolen has become a prerequisite now for thriving, surviving and rising in this Republican Party,” said Friedman. “What does that mean? It means that this GOP is going to be built on a gigantic lie.” He asked how people could possibly trust the party in power if its calling card was baselessly claiming the 2020 vote was stolen.

“It’s happened like in the last couple of weeks, where everyone fell into line and people like (House Minority Leader) Kevin McCarthy – their willingness to politically prostitute themselves in order to, you know, get the Speaker of the House, it is breathtaking that someone would sell their soul that shamelessly,” said Friedman.

“It’s just chilling,” he added. “Now, imagine, if he would do that, what will they do once they’re in power to keep power? We are in real danger here.”
