The Greek Jesus Vs. The Hebrew Yeshua | The Chronological Gospels
The Christian realm is waking up from the realization that "Jesus Christ"
wasn't a blond-haired, blue-eyed, soft-spoken Gentile.
Rather he was raised in a Jewish observant home where Torah was law and he was Jewish.
But to understand Jesus’ ministry in the context of what his teachings meant to the Jews in his day,
we need to view the events recorded in the Gospels from their perspective.
We are going back to the time that NOBODY CALLED HIM“JESUS CHRIST”!
In episode 3 of The Chronological Gospels Michael Rood will take you through his years
of research into the original texts of the Bible and unearth fascinating truths.
Join Michael Rood in Israel as you explore the Life and Teachings of Jesus -Yeshua of Nazareth.

Yeshua's teachings, which supposedly form the basis for Western Christianity,
are now filtered through 2000 years of traditions born in ignorance of the land,
language, and culture of the Bible. The issues over which Yeshua wrestled with
the Pharisees are simply not understood by modern Christians;
nor are his most important instructions followed by those who claim to be his disciples.
Former Pharisee, Nehemia Gordon, a Dead Sea Scrolls scholar and Semitic language expert,
explores the ancient Hebrew text of the Gospel of Matthew from manuscripts long hidden away
in the archives of Jewish scribes. Gordon's research reveals that the more "modern" Greek text of Matthew,
from which the Western world's versions were translated, depicts "another Jesus" from the Yeshua
portrayed in the ancient Hebrew version of Matthew. Gordon explains the life-and-death conflict Yeshua
had with the Pharisees as they schemed to grab the reins of Judaism in the first century,
and brings that conflict into perspective for both Jew and Christian alike.
"Yeshua's brutally honest words in the Hebrew version of Matthew
are nothing short of revolutionary for the believer.
This is the revelation for which I have been waiting an entire lifetime!" - Michael Rood

The Gospel of Matthew was originally written in Hebrew before being translated into Greek
and other languages. The Hebrew version of Matthew survives in at least twenty-eight manuscripts
copied by Jewish scribes in the Middle Ages.
Among the most important manuscripts of Hebrew Matthew is the one preserved in the British Museum Library.
A full-color reproduction of a section of this manuscript is now available for the first time as an 24" x 18" poster;
a miniature reproduction is featured on the front cover of this booklet.
The reproduction contains the story of the naming of Jesus as told in Hebrew Matthew 1:18-25
and includes the original form of Jesus Hebrew name: Yeshua.
This booklet contains information about the poster reproduction of Hebrew Matthew
including a Hebrew transcription, an English translation, and detailed explanations.
Learn about the unique features of Hebrew Matthew, about the traditions that guided the Jewish scribes
who transmitted this ancient text, and how the name Yeshua became Jesus.
