"Mesquite, Texas, police officers fatally shot a man on Tuesday morning after responding to a potential domestic disturbance call. Officers responded to the Audubon Park Apartments around 8 a.m., according to KDFW, after being dispatched for a disconnected 911 call. Officers reportedly became involved in a confrontation that resulted in an officer-involved shooting. The man who was shot is suspected to have been assaulting another person when officers arrived, according to KXAS, and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. KDFW reported he was pronounced dead at the hospital."
