Protest Wedding: Cam and Kacy marry at outdoor Kelowna Harvest Fellowship ceremony

https://www.rebelnews.com/protest_wedding_kelowna_harvest_fellowship_cam_kacy_obrien

This past Sunday, I covered a sacred piece of normalcy. I covered a wedding! And not just any wedding. This was one done both in love, and in protest of B.C.’s harsh COVID-19 restrictions that restrict gatherings of lovebirds excited to commit the rest of their lives together to only 10 people, including themselves, and the officiant witnessing their union.

At least 200 people gathered at Kelowna’s beautiful Kerry Park and took part in the holy matrimony of Cam and Kacy O’Brien. Pastor Art Lucier, from Kelowna Harvest Fellowship, officiated the wedding during one of his congregation’s weekly worship protests. The couple had recently decided to commit their lives to God after attending one of the worship protests, which led them to decide to also solidify their commitment to each other.

Love and freedom were definitely in the air — even passersby and the police who were there to keep the peace had smiles on their faces. With the amount of science supporting that the spread of COVID-19 outdoors is extremely rare — perhaps as low as below 0.1 per cent of transmission — how could anyone reasonably condemn this celebration?

If you could use some feel-good news, click here to watch Cam and Kacy’s beautiful love story unfold, against public health orders.

Thankfully, Cam and Kacy did not receive a fine on their special day. But if you’d like to help us fight on behalf of the many Canadians who have received fines for doing other things they should be free to do, please donate to provide such people with free legal counsel at FightTheFines.com.

B.C. tattoo shop facing backlash for “pro-choice” mask policy

https://www.rebelnews.com/bc_tattoo_shop_facing_backlash_for_pro_choice_mask_policy

Rebel News travelled up to Kelowna, B.C. to visit Ryan Scarpino of the tattoo shop Dynamic Studios.

Ryan is known for being a world-class tattoo artist, entrepreneur, and most recently, a human rights advocate standing up for freedom of choice.

On April 22, Kelowna’s Stuart Park hosted a freedom rally where the prominent anti-lockdown activist Chris Sky spoke and encouraged locals to stand up for their rights.

Ryan took the opportunity to announce to his community that his shop would be honouring the provincial mask mandate, and would not require patrons to show any sort of paperwork to prove they were exempt from wearing a mask.

Local media outlet Castanet covered the rally with the headline "Fans mob anti-mask leader," and mentioned Ryan in the article, claiming he declared "masks are not required at their studio.” Ryan says this is a gross oversimplification of his message.

Since the release of the article, Dynamic Studios has been visited by bylaw officers, and has been receiving negative reviews online. Ryan insists that his shop is not anti-mask, but rather pro-choice.

He wants to uphold the rights and dignity of his customers by respecting exemptions from mask mandates. Check out what Ryan had to say about freedom, small businesses and the impact of the lockdown restrictions on B.C.’s youth.

Weekly Toronto Freedom Rally features man ticketed for cleaning the park

https://www.rebelnews.com/toronto_police_issue_more_tickets_to_freedom_rally_protesters

On Saturday May 8, anti-lockdown/Freedom Rally protesters took to Queen’s Park to voice their concerns over the seemingly never-ending lockdowns that the Ontario government has imposed onto its citizens.

This past weekend, some protesters were issued tickets for non-compliance in relation to the perversely named Reopening Ontario Act, even though police appeared not to be doing so for other members of the public who were enjoying the park with protesters just meters away.

One individual, confronted by police after spending his time simply cleaning garbage from the park grounds, was arrested for refusing to identify himself in accordance with the Act, though not before sending a formidable message to the police on scene:

Unfortunately, this has been a trend in weeks previous. At the beginning of each protest, before the crowd swells up for the march, Toronto police will look for individuals who have a sign, a voice, a Canadian flag, anything that visually marks them as potentially being part of the protest.

Though this does not hinder the spirit of the group — many take it graciously, and as part of a duty to their country in the fight against draconian lockdown measures.

There was also a small handful of dissenting bystanders on the streets as the crowd marched its way through the city. Unfortunately, most are just looking for someone to blame for their own misfortunes.

If you feel as if these Reopening Ontario Act tickets are an undue burden on Canadians, please go to FightTheFines.com to help us continue to fight the 1,000 cases we have already taken under our wing with free lawyers.

“If they're going after the church, you are not exempt”: Neighbours target Pastur Artur's church

https://8kun.top/qresearch/res/13583910.html#13650845

When I spoke with Pastor Artur Pawlowski after his recent release from jail, he shared with me the details of a conversation he shared with a lesbian woman who attended his worship service on Saturday.

Artur told me that he had been approached by a woman who politely asked what he thought about homosexuality.

Artur shared his traditional and biblical beliefs on the matter earnestly, to which the woman replied that she herself was gay. Artur replied that while he might not agree with her lifestyle, he loved her as a human being.

I was fortunate enough to interview the woman who had approached Pastor Artur to discuss this subject as worship was wrapping up on Saturday.

She shared her experiences in the early civil rights movement for those in same-sex relationships, and expressed opposition to the current radicalization and politicization of the LGBT movement.

What upset her most was not the pastor who dared to disagree with her lifestyle while continuing to respect her as a human being, but instead the current battles fought by those who now fly the rainbow flag as she once did.

Pastor Artur had expressed that he loved this woman despite disagreeing with her, but the same unconditional offer of love was nowhere to be found amidst the counter-protesters.

The woman lamented that her lifelong fight for love and equality has been co-opted by angry and hateful people, insisting that the harassment and discrimination of those who disagree with the LGBT movement was not what she or her friends were fighting for.

They fought for equality. They fought for love.
