*Missing Eye

DENVER, Colo. - A mummified corpse that appears to be a controversial religious leader of “Love Has Won” was found inside a rural Colorado home, according to the Saguache County Sheriff's Office.

The religious leader recently lived in Mount Shasta and the body was in a sleeping bag decorated with Christmas lights and makeup, with a missing eye.

The Saguache County Coroner’s Office is working to confirm the body found, which belongs to Amy Carlson, the leader of the group “Love Has Won.”

Seven people are charged with abuse of a corpse and the homeowner said some of them drove the body from Mount Shasta to his house.

The coroner’s office said the woman had been dead for at least four weeks and it’s unclear how she died.

"I'm really not sure what to think about this whole thing,” said Cpl. Steve Hansen of Saguache County Sheriff’s Department. "I've never seen a group of people be so nonchalant about a dead person in their back room."
