Because the "thought" of Satan is what they're after. He gives them knowledge.
Satan speaks to men through inspiration and hidden knowledge, in exchange for worship and sacrifice. This gives the Cabal an edge on those who aren't aware or worship God.
If one is a worldly person, I guess you could say they DO get something out of this, but in the end it's a terrible bargain because they spend eternity in hell for it.
