Looks like the two states where Bill Gates has bought up the most farmland, by far, are Louisiana and Arkansas (totaling almost as much as all the other states combined.)
Any theories on why those two states? (Yet nothing in Texas, Georgia, Alabama, S. Carolina, etc?) Was it just the cheapest rural land not already owned by big corporations, or some other reason?
