Tuolumne County Sheriff Arrests Registered Sex Offender Suspected of Abusing Child

TUOLUMNE COUNTY (CBS SF) — Authorities in Tuolumne County on Thursday confirmed the Wednesday arrest of a Jamestown man and registered sex offender on multiple sex-related crimes against a child.

According to a social media post, on Wednesday morning, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible sexual abuse of a minor by 57-year-old Jamestown resident Isidro Jimenez, a current sex registrant.

The sheriff’s office said a deputy responded and conducted an initial investigation into the allegations. After enough information was gathered, the sheriff’s investigations division took over the case.

Detectives were able to gather enough evidence to indicate that Jimenez had committed various sexual crimes against a child known to him. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office said Jimenez was subsequently arrested for suspicion of several sex-related crimes against a child.

Prince Harry joins entertainment royalty at 'Vax Live' concert to push vaccine equity

Prince Harry has joined entertainment royalty at a concert in Los Angeles - which has managed to purchase 10 million doses with the money raised - to push for COVID vaccine equity.

Vax Live features performances by Selena Gomez, the Foo Fighters and Jennifer Lopez as well as messages from the Pope and US President Joe Biden.

Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans told Sky News the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “incredibly passionate” about the issue of vaccine equity and wanted to call on the private sector to “step up”.

“So together with Prince Harry and Meghan we convened a roundtable focused on encouraging the fortune 100 and fortune 500 companies to commit dollars for doses," he said.

Mr Evans said companies such as Cisco, Procter and Gamble, Coca Cola and Mastercard “immediately” signed on to the initiative, allowing enough money to be raised to purchase 10 million doses “for those who need them most”.

Critical Race Theory Illuminates Democrats’ Master Plan To End Honest Elections In America

Those defending the traditional American view of elections—free, open, and by secret ballot—don’t recognize the nature of the opposition.

How rights are viewed—individual or collective—explains today’s sharp disagreement over the rules for running elections, both in Congress and in states considering election integrity bills.

Democrats—specifically the dominant extremist variety—view rights through the collective lens of race. Critical race theory (CRT), based in Marxism, is essential to understanding their objectives. CRT holds that personage is irrelevant and the immutable trait of race is paramount.

Thus, by definition, all politics are “identity politics,” as declared by University of California at Berkeley School of Law professors Ian Haney-Lopez and Cheryl I. Harris, the co-founders of critical race studies at UCLA School of Law, during a roundtable last October on CRT and the 2020 election.

To The Left, Some Voters Are More Equal than Others

Writing for the Washington Monthly in February, David Adkins was more direct, writing that Republicans’ “obsession with new voter suppression laws to fix a ‘voter fraud’ problem that does not exist” amount to “new Jim Crow laws” in service of “the party of white Christian Identity.” Further, he claims all the party of “white supremacy, Bible-thumping prejudice and misogyny” has left “is opposition, voter suppression and judges.”

The late Fordham Law professor Terry Smith argued in his book, “Whitelash: Unmasking White Grievance at the Ballot Box” that the Electoral College and the U.S. Senate needed to be changed to make them more democratic. Smith claimed evidence of racial voting behavior in the 2016 presidential election—the election immediately following Barack Obama’s two election victories. He then suggested courts could be enlisted to determine when voters were improperly biased by race and then impose remedies, of the kind one supposes would “fix” the “wrong” election results.

Because leftists hold the system to be inherently racist, then anything is justified in achieving equal outcomes to make amends for past sins and current systemic racism. Under this imperative, elections—and voting—are merely means to an end: redistributing wealth and power from the haves to the have-nots. A secret ballot cast in the privacy of the voting booth is an anachronism, and measures to make election fraud difficult are denounced as voter suppression.

In its ideal world, today’s left would conduct a census rather than hold an election.

Voting As a Group Right, Not an Individual Right

The bitter historical irony here is that John C. Calhoun, the congressman, senator, and vice president who was an ardent supporter of slavery, would agree with the idea of race determining political outcomes. His theory of concurrent majorities was adopted by CRT adherents and their proto-founders decades ago. Majorities within identifiable groups determine a concurrent majority—the operative word here being “groups.”

Recall President Bill Clinton’s failed nomination of Lani Guinier to be assistant attorney general for civil rights in 1993. Guinier specifically took issue with the concept of voting as an individual right, not a group right. Her views are now mainstream among Democratic Party leadership.

This core belief renders compromise on the conduct of elections impossible because too many Democrats believe elections must serve the purpose of rectifying racism rather than merely serving as a vehicle for public choice in representation. In this construct, elections aren’t even partisan; rather, they’re racial. Elections, therefore, must have a predetermined result—they must bend the arc of history towards racial justice (as continuously redefined by the Vanguard of the Woke).

Questions Emerge On Swiss Diplomat’s Death In Iran

With Iranian authorities yet to announce their conclusions on the death of Sylvie Brunner, a 51-year-old Swiss diplomat in Tehran, Hamshahri newspaper has offered an account of her death that may feed speculation. Brunner, first secretary of the Swiss embassy and deputy of the United States interest section, fell from her residence in a high-rise building Tuesday.

Switzerland has for decades represented US and Iranian interests in the two countries, which have had no diplomatic relations since 1980 when the revolutionary government in Iran failed to act to free American diplomats taken hostage by militant students.

Hamshahri offered a relatively full, if inconclusive, account of Brunner’s death. In very broad terms, it concurs with a brief report from Mizan, news agency of Iran’s judiciary, which reported Tuesday evening that the diplomat “fell from the 17th floor where she lived and her body was found in the gardens outside the building under her balcony.” Brunner’s body, Mizan said, had been taken to the coroner’s office following investigation at the scene in the presence of a judge and crime-scene experts.

But Hamshahri also reported residents at the tower hearing a loud noise, like an explosion, 24 minutes after midnight on Tuesday, nearly eight hours before Brunner’s body was discovered.

Hamshahri said a cleaner discovered the body and immediately informed the building’s management. It quoted an expert from the coroner’s office confirming death occurred eight hours before the body was discovered.

A 20-year-old woman who worked in Brunner’s apartment as house-aide told Hamshahri that she arrived as usual at 8am, using the entry code, and suspected nothing. “I thought she went to work until an hour later I found out,” she said. “I was shocked.”

Hamshahri further reported that Brunner was wearing casual clothes, appropriate for the home, as well as a hat. The paper quoted criminal investigators that “there were no signs of disorder in the apartment and the balcony from where she fell had a guard-rail 110-cm high.” Moreover, investigators did not find blood or signs of a struggle on the balcony or the railing.

In its most startling claim, Hamshahri said police had found a hand-written paper without a date or signature on a table at the guest room. “After my death take my body back to Switzerland and inform my son,” the note reportedly read. “Then, cremate my body and bury it next to my child who died. Moreover, give all my money and everything I have to my other son.” The house-aide is quoted as saying that Brunner had sometimes shown signs of depression but lately had seemed better.

This flies in the face of an account by Mojtaba Khaledi, spokesman of the Emergency Organization, the official who first confirmed Brunner’s death Tuesday morning, who said suicide was “not being considered as a cause.” Adding to its own sense of mystery, Hamshahri quoted workers at the Swiss embassy shocked by Brunner’s death saying she was a happy and energetic person, who was hopeful about life and loved Iran.
