It’s not so hidden…

When we talk about Chinese information warfare and the effectiveness of its propaganda operations the discussion sometimes seems a bit abstract. We are aware the Chinese do this, and we are often aware of the effectiveness of their efforts, but it can feel like what we are witnessing is the result of some “invisible hand.” Turns out often that hand is not invisible at all.

Consider the case of the Wuhan lab, the “wet market” lie, and Peter Daszak

When the COVID-19 pandemic first struck the United States, and we began to search for its origins, we now know there was more than enough evidence to suggest strongly that what we were seeing was a virus that had escaped from a Chinese lab in Wuhan, China engaged in ‘gain of function‘ research. In fact, we now know that research was being funded in part by Dr. Fauci’s NIH – and that the Department of State had warned two years earlier about a possible pandemic that could originate from this same lab.

Despite all of this, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) trotted out a story about the virus originating at a seafood market, and almost immediately the American media began to parrot that line. Rapidly thereafter all the social media behemoths picked up the same story and censored anyone who questioned it. Communist style censorship came to the United States in the blink of an eye.

This is the face of Chinese disinformation. This is how this “hidden hand” works. The sad truth is that a great many Americans have chosen sides and are no longer playing for our team. They believe we are a nation in decline and that the future belongs to the Chinese Communists. Lying about the origins of the pandemic is of no great consequence when you are the vanguard of history.

Report: Hunter Biden’s Connected to ‘Chief Spy of China’ Through His Chinese-American Secretary

A business partner Hunter Biden called “the chief spy of China,” assigned the president’s son a Chinese-American secretary who was feeding him opposition research to help Joe Biden’s 2020 election bid after the business venture collapsed in 2018, the Daily Mail reported Friday.

The Daily Mail obtained the information from emails contained in Hunter Biden’s alleged “laptop from hell,” which has become the gift that will not stop giving to critics of President Joe Biden and his troubled son.

“Under the heading ‘Uncle Joe 2020,’ the former assistant encouraged the president’s son to tell his father to ‘lead by example,’ ‘bring back sensibility,’ and emphasize his experience and age as a strength,” the newspaper added.

A joint report by the Senate Homeland Security and Finance committees issued in September 2020 examined Hunter’s business deal with CEFC, noting the company’s deep ties to the communist Chinese government. It determined that the millions of dollars transferred from the firm to Hunter and his uncle “raise criminal financial, counterintelligence and extortion concerns.”

Hunter’s secretary, Bao, appeared very invested in having Joe Biden beat Donald Trump.

In a March 2019 email to Hunter, Bao told Hunter, “You need to help Uncle Joe run for president. Your father should really run for 2020 for this country. He will be one of the best presidents in our country’s history.”

After Hunter called his business partner “the chief spy in China,” U.S. law enforcement reportedly surveilled the Chinese businessman later as a “foreign intelligence threat” before his conviction for bribery in 2018.

“Ho was suspected of working with the Chinese intelligence services and had been monitored by federal law enforcement under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act,” the Daily Mail noted, citing court documents.

Biden’s new left of racial radicals

The e-mail was short and nasty. After first calling Sen. Tim Scott “the token Uncle Tom” and the N-word, the writer added: “You knuckle dragging conservatives should be sent to the ovens.”

This is how political disagreement is often expressed today.

The writer, Mildred50, if that’s her real name, was one of many on the left who were infuriated that Scott, a black Republican from South Carolina, had the gall to declare that “America is not a racist country” in his rebuttal to President Biden’s address to Congress.

Scott did not duck the unfinished business on race or his experiences of being stopped for no reason by police. He was frank in acknowledging there is more work to do.

But he also put Biden to shame by hailing the enormous progress America has made, in stark contrast to a president who sounds stuck in the past when he compares new voting laws to the Jim Crow era and insists the country remains riddled with “systemic racism.”

For his common sense and optimism, Scott received deserved acclaim and, distressingly, an outpouring of hatred, with the “Uncle Tim” slur trending on Twitter for 12 hours.

The e-mail from Mildred50 echoed that vile language, but the second sentence revealed something more. By saying “You knuckle dragging conservatives should be sent to the ovens,” the writer effectively identified as a liberal.

Yet here is a racist who identifies as a liberal while wishing conservatives get “sent to the ovens.” The Holocaust reference is also unmistakable and repugnant.

Although it’s impossible to know what shaped that warped outlook, raw hatred is a growing and powerful force in American politics, especially on the left.

That is not to suggest all Republicans are innocent, or that every Democrat is a racist who wants Republicans dead. Rather, it is stating the obvious to say the new left alone wants to irrevocably change America, rewrite its history and tear down its institutions.

And many are prepared to crush any and all dissent.

Unfortunately, millions of Democrats fit that description and they are driving the party. Many are in Congress and the administration, including, I am sorry to say, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Biden, seeing the widening breach and numerous fault lines, cleverly sold himself as someone who would lower the temperature and get things done by working with both sides.

It was a ruse. The bonfire of rage is still burning and his administration is using its power to further racialize and radicalize daily life.

No leading Democrat, including Biden, condemned the outrageous attacks on law enforcement, and few spoke honestly about the rise in violent crime. Similarly, few Dems condemn Big Tech’s silencing of voices that oppose the left’s worldview.

The weaponization of race and a commitment to blocking dissenting speech goes beyond rhetoric. Traditional liberals were inherently suspicious of the FBI and CIA because they had sometimes trampled on Americans’ rights, but the new left enlists those agencies to criminalize dissent.

The FBI raid on Rudy Giuliani’s apartment is especially suspicious. And why, four months after Jan. 6, is the National Guard manning a garrison-like fortress around the Capitol long after officials conceded there are no threats?

“The criminals are viewed as heroes and cops are the bad guys. We are lectured and accused of being racist. I’d like to think the good guys will eventually win, but I’m losing hope.”
