It would appear that the European Union was an experiment to have sovereign countries turn over their fate to unelected officials of a supreme council run by dark lords.
It went so well that in only several decades they are now ready to take over the entire world.
They have to tell you what they are going to do, it's their rules, and if you do nothing, then you deserve your fate?
