DMP - The Drug Discovery and Molecular Pharmacology (DMP) Study Section reviews cancer-related applications focused on the discovery, design, identification, isolation, development and/or synthesis of new molecular agents that are potentially useful in cancer therapy of solid tumors and leukemias. Agents may combat cancer by slowing cancer cell growth, hastening cancer cell death, sensitizing cancer cells to other therapies, inhibiting metastasis or angiogenesis, or ameliorating side effects. Agents may also contribute to the solubility or encapsulation of known cancer chemotherapies, or may improve the specificity of delivery of known chemotherapies to cancer cells. Studies designed to determine the efficacy of new drug combinations, or predict drug sensitivities, are also reviewed by DMP.
