yeah.... no. totally wrong. gasoline prices are soaring, but for entirely different reasons. opposite actually. carter wasn't supposed to win. they never thought ford would lose. so they set out immediately to undermine carter's presidency by whatever means available.

just make sure you add a dose of fuel stabilizer to each container. the shit that passes for gasoline nowadays won't keep more than a month or two before it starts to turn to crap that will gum up your carburetor/injectors.
