shutting down the pipeline does affect the price of oil by
screwing up the storage and refining in the south
causing shortages in the eastern half of the country disrupts the steady flow of everything
it could cause oil price to drop in some areas as storage fills or cause a price rise near open refineries
if they have to send gas by ship to the northest the refiners will have to raise gas price or lower crude price
chaos in general might be the goal
to be blamed on private industry and fixed by govt "help" ?
