Jeff Bezos bio makes bombshell claims about alleged Saudi role, purported penis pic
Jeff Bezos pushed an unfounded theory that Saudi Arabia was behind the revelation of his affair with Lauren Sanchez â and relished how it shifted the focus away âfrom the more unsavory and complicated truth,â a new biography claims.
In âAmazon Unbound: Jeff Bezos and the Invention of a Global Empire,â author Brad Stone says that thereâs no âconclusive evidenceâ to back up suggestions by the worldâs richest man and his security consultant that Saudi Arabia tipped off the National Enquirer.
The nearly 500-page book also reveals that the infamous, purported selfie of Bezosâ penis wasnât real â and was actually grabbed by Sanchezâs brother, Michael Sanchez, from a Web site for gay escorts.
Michael Sanchez âlater told FBI investigators for the Southern District of New York that he never actually had an explicit photograph of Bezos in his possession,â Stone writes.
In a chapter detailing how Bezos blew up his 25-year marriage to since-remarried MacKenzie Scott, Stone notes how the billionaire âartfully suggestedâ in a February 2019 essay posted on Medium.com that the Saudis may have behind the Enquirerâs exclusive.
Stone says Bezos âtook the already muddled question of how the paper obtained his private text messages and photographs and confused it furtherâ by writing online that the storyâs genesis was âstill to be better understoodâ and that âthe Saudi angle seems to hit a particular nerveâ with the Enquirerâs parent company, American Media Inc.
Stone also highlights an article that private-security expert Gavin de Becker â a longtime Bezos pal â penned the following month for the Daily Beast.
âOur investigators and several experts concluded with high confidence that the Saudis had access to Bezosâ phone and gained private information. As of today, it is unclear to what degree, if any, AMI was aware of the details,â de Becker wrote.
But Stone claims the Enquirer actually got nine âpersonalâ photos of Bezos from Michael Sanchez under terms of a contract worth around $200,000 â the most it ever paid for a scoop.
And Michael Sanchez allegedly got the photos from his sister, who âfrequently forwardedâ Bezosâ text messages to him, according to the book.
âThe sibling relationship was, to put it mildly, unusual,â Stone writes.

Joe Biden Proposes More Education Spending to Solve Gas Shortage
President Joe Biden proposed more federal spending on education Wednesday when asked how to end the gas shortage on the East coast.
âI think that this shows that I think we have to make a greater investment in education as it relates to being able to train and graduate more people proficient in cybersecurity,â Biden said when asked how to alleviate the crisis.
The president spoke about the gas shortage â sparked by a ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline â after delivering remarks about fighting the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
âI think that one of the most important things we have to do to reclaim our place as the leading innovator in the world is to have a better-educated workforce,â Biden said, admitting his answer was not a âdirect responseâ to the question.
Biden expressed sympathy for Americans suffering from spiking gas prices but did not offer any immediate solutions.
âGasoline. Price is going up. Exactly right. And it matters if you make $40,000 a year, it matters if youâre a two-family person making $80-$90,000, two fam.. wage earners, it matters,â he said.
The president said his administration was working closely with the executives of the Colonial Pipeline to get it back online and previewed good news in the next 24 hours.
The White House struggled to respond to the crisis after initially resisting acknowledging a gas shortage. By Tuesday, Biden officials said there was not a shortage but a âcrunch.â
On Wednesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki struggled to explain the administrationâs evolving understanding of the problem.
âOn Monday afternoon â so 48 hours ago â we said âat this moment there is not a supply shortageâ that was accurate, âat this moment.'â she told reporters. âWe also said that we are continuing to monitor very closely what the impact will be.â

Muslim actress makes headlines after quoting 'Hitler' in tweet as Hamas launches rockets into Israel: 'I would have killed all of the Jews of the world'
Actress Veena Malik â sometimes known as Zahida Malik â raised eyebrows after she tweeted a quote she attributed to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, which referenced killing Jews across the world.
Malik's tweet came at a time when clashes between Israel and Palestine have hit a fevered pitch.
What are the details?
According to a Wednesday report from the Post Millennial, the 37-year-old Pakistani Muslim actress tweeted a graphic that read, "I would have killed all the Jews of the world ⌠but I kept some to show the world why I killed them. Adolf Hitler"
It remains unknown whether the Nazi dictator ever actually uttered or wrote those words.
While the offending tweet is gone, the actress's Twitter page remains active at the time of this reporting.
New York Magazine writer Yashar Ali captured the tweet before it was deleted.
Ali tweeted, "How is this still up???" and later added, "This tweet is now gone along with a bunch of other tweets on her account. Looking forward to an apology from all those who doubted me."

Biden Pressed to Cancel Iran Talks as Tehran-Backed Terrorists Attack Israel
More than 40 senators tell Biden to stop appeasing Iran
The Biden administration is facing new pressure from Congress to immediately end its negotiations with Iran in the wake of continued missile attacks on Israel by Tehran-armed-and-funded terrorist groups.
More than 40 Republican senators led by Marco Rubio (Fla.) petitioned the White House late Wednesday to "immediately end negotiations with Iran, and make clear that sanctions relief will not be provided," according to a copy of that letter exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. "The United States must not do anything to enrich Israel's enemies, such as by offering sanctions relief to a regime that seeks to destroy Israel," they write.
The 44 senatorsâincluding foreign policy leaders like Jim Inhofe (Okla.), Tom Cotton (Ark.), Bill Hagerty (Tenn.), Ted Cruz (Texas), and John Cornyn (Texas)âsay the Biden administration should abandon its diplomacy with Iran to send a message that terrorism will not be tolerated by America. The letter sends a clear message that the majority of Republicans serving in the Senate see the Biden administration's diplomacy with Iran as a danger to U.S. national security, as well as the alliance with Israel.
Israel has been hit with more than 1,000 missiles during the past two days, all of them fired by the Iranian-backed terror groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Leaders of both groups recently bragged that Iran is funding and arming them with weapons significantly more sophisticated than the crude rockets typically shot at Israel. Since the violence erupted earlier this week, both terror groups successfully launched missiles into major Israeli cities, putting millions of civilians at risk. At least six Israelis have been killed so far and more than 200 wounded.
Iran, the senators note, "is a longtime financial and material supporter of Hamas. The United States engaging in active negotiations with Iran and potentially providing billions of dollars in sanctions relief will no doubt contribute to Iran's support of Hamas and other terrorist organizations who attack Americans and our allies."
The Biden administration remains engaged in talks with Iran that would provide the hardline regime with access to billions in cash resources. Iranian leaders are demanding the United States unwind scores of crippling sanctions that have brought the government to the brink of collapse.
The senators say that Iran's role in the violence is "troubling as members of your administration are currently in Vienna negotiating with Iran, the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism." Instead of giving in to Iran's demands, the United States should "take all steps necessary to hold Tehran accountable and under no circumstances, provide sanctions relief to Iran."
A State Department official confirmed to the Free Beacon last week that major sanctions relief is on the table for Iran. The sides are still discussing the scope and scale of this relief, which is likely to include rolling back sanctions on Iran's banks, oil trade, and other key sectors. The United States is open to removing every sanction that is viewed as counter to the original 2015 nuclear agreement. Iran maintains that every American sanction must be lifted for the sides to agree on a new deal.

Bridge over Mississippi river closed for repairs after inspectors discover MAJOR CRACK, river transport grinds to a halt
Tennessee officials have closed a bridge spanning the Mississippi River, after inspectors found a crack in its structure. The closure has delayed vital river traffic, and serves as a reminder of the USâ decaying infrastructure.
Built in the 1960s and reinforced in the last two decades, the Hernando de Soto Bridge carries Interstate 40 across the Mississippi River between West Memphis, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. As many as 50,000 vehicles, including more than 9,000 trucks, use the bridge every day, officials said.
However, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) shut the bridge down on Tuesday, after a routine inspection found a crack in its steel structure.
While road traffic was directed to cross the mighty Mississippi via the nearby Memphis-Arkansas Bridge, shipping on the river has been halted entirely âuntil further notice,â per a statement from TDOT on Tuesday afternoon.
TDOT Chief Engineer Paul Degges told reporters on Wednesday that it âcould be months rather than weeksâ before the bridge is repaired. The inspection that revealed the crack, performed every two years, is ongoing.
One crack in Memphis could have national implications. Tennessee is bordered by eight states, and more goods are moved by truck through Tennessee than through any other US state. Furthermore, 500 million tons of shipped goods â including petroleum, grain, iron and steel â are moved along the Mississippi River each year.
Reports in local media on Wednesday stated that several barges are already backed up on the river.
