He is a patsy plant. If he learned anything from the campaign he was to contact his handlers. His primary mission was to put himself into a room with a Russian during the campaign so that the investigation would have a basis and lastly he is a patsy (if everything gies to hell) that the FBI could discard.

There is way too little information that has been made public about his role, albeit somewhat minor.

We all know there is a deadline (the midterm elections).

The impetus has always been on team Trump because the FBI and the DOJ (with the aid of the crooked people within the intelligence agencies) engineered the investigations.

I must admit, I think Trump thought he could win over Congress. However, it became apparent rather quickly that even most Republicans in the Congressional leadership positions either were lukewarm or outright hostile to POTUS and his agenda.

Therefore, POTUS (and the military) had to go to the next plan which entailed POTUS using the power inherent in the office of the President (EOs, etc) and he never backed down - not even an inch.

The reported approval numbers of POTUS are alleged to be a bit above 50%. The public knows that this metric, just like during the general election, are being under reported intentionally by his enemies in the media.

Slowly but surely POTUS has led from the front (like General George Washington).
