where I live in TX, during the ice storm in Feb, our local utility would cut power for an hour, turn it back on for an hour. That went on for over 3 days. Currently stage 2 watering restrictions. YET they continue to approve new subdivisions, apartment complexes and commercial development. Fucking insane. Wouldn't be surprised if they have outages on the regular this summer (which has never happened before)

And I was actually one of the lucky ones. Many places throughout TX had NO power for days. Although turning on for only an hour at a time was kinda worthless. Couldn't get the house warmed up but was at least able to get a pot of coffee brewed or stick something in the microwave to eat.

wish I would have started years ago. At this point generators are yugely expensive. Do have some non perishable food stored, some water for drinking, etc. but not nearly everything needed for what they're planning on throwing at us.

>even a bird is provided

Squirrels gather nuts for the winter. Many animals gorge themselves before hibernation.

God is providing me….with enough sense and resources (albeit small amount) to be able to gather some things I will need in the coming months.

Do you go to the store? Do you buy one meal at a time or a week's worth?
