America’s Audit Director Ken Bennett Says Close to 500,000 Ballots Have Been Counted and Examined by Audit Team in Arizona

The Gateway Pundit correspondent Jordan Conradson interviewed Ken Bennett on Thursday night following the explosive news on Wednesday that “the entire database” showing the “Results Tally and Reporting” for the 2020 election had been deleted from the Maricopa County voting machines.

Ken Bennett told Jordan Conradson that the audit team has counted and examined close to 500,000 ballots at this point. That is nearly one-quarter of the 2.1 million total to be examined.

Bennett also said they have more tables today up and running than any other day. Nearly 29 tables were examining ballots today at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The Arizona Audit Team has not released any results from their audit so far.

Democrats urged the Biden Department of Justice to shut the process down.

UK Introduces Bill to Censor LEGAL Speech, Block Websites for Non-Compliance

The bill has been described as "a frightening and historic attack" on free speech

The UK government has introduced a draft “Online Safety Bill” which would force websites to clamp down on legal speech, and even block them if they don’t comply.

The Online Safety Bill, which was confirmed to be part of the UK government’s legislative agenda in this week’s Queen’s Speech, was released in draft form on Wednesday. Oliver Dowden, the Culture Secretary, said that the bill would “protect children on the internet, crack down on racist abuse on social media and through new measures to safeguard our liberties, create a truly democratic digital age.”

While the words of government ministers claimed that the bill would protect free speech and liberties, while only ensuring a saver internet for all, free speech campaigners have raised alarm bells that this couldn’t be further from the case. The bill creates a “duty of care” on websites to ensure that explicitly legal speech which has an “adverse psychological impact” is clamped down upon. This means that if the bill is passed, not only would there be a greater standard of what speech is acceptable online and offline, but the government themselves would pass the buck to that decision down initially to the Big Tech companies.

The regulatory powers for the bill have been granted to Ofcom, the body that handles broadcast media and other communications in the UK. If a website is deemed by Ofcom to have not clamped down on legal speech, including “misinformation” as the bill requests, then they could be fined up to £18 million, or even have access blocked to them entirely.

The bill does add some protections for online speech, but only for “journalists.” The government has claimed that “citizen journalists” would also be given the same protections as big media outlets, but unlike for the media organisations, there is no language in the bill to determine who gets to be classified as a journalist or not. Regardless, the Free Speech Union said that this was merely creating a protected class under the law, and was completely unacceptable. Matthew Lesh of the Adam Smith Institute said that the bill was an “incoherent train wreck” that represents “a frightening and historic attack” on free speech. “The Bill needs a serious rethink,” Lesh added. “There needs to be a mandate on Ofcom that prevents the issuing of guidance that infringes on legal speech, open to arbitrary interpretation under the current proposals. There also needs to be a much greater focus on the perpetrators of unlawful behaviour.”

“The Online Safety Bill introduces state-backed censorship and monitoring on a scale never seen before in a liberal democracy,” said Mark Johnson, the Legal and Policy Officer at Big Brother Watch. “This Bill is disastrous for privacy rights and free expression online,” he added. “The Government is clamping down on vague categories of lawful speech. This could easily result in the silencing of marginalised voices and unpopular views. Parliament should remove lawful content from the scope of this Bill altogether and refocus on real policing rather than speech-policing.”

Biden Plans Expansion of Feds’ Army of Snitches in ‘Dollars for Collars’ Program

How the administration plans on expanding its already massive surveillance apparatus.

The Biden administration may soon recruit an army of private snoops to conduct surveillance that would be illegal if done by federal agents. As part of its war on extremism, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) may exploit a “legal work-around” to spy on and potentially entrap Americans who are “perpetuating the ‘narratives’ of concern,” CNN reported last week. But federal informant programs routinely degenerate into “dollars for collars” schemes that reward scoundrels for fabricating crimes that destroy the lives of innocent Americans. The DHS plan would “allow the department to circumvent [constitutional and legal] limits” on surveillance of private citizens and groups. Federal agencies are prohibited from targeting individuals solely for First Amendment-protected speech and activities. But federal hirelings would be under no such restraint. Private informants could create false identities that would be problematic if done by federal agents.

DHS will be ramping up a war against an enemy which the feds have never clearly or competently defined. According to a March report by Biden’s office of the Director of National Intelligence, “domestic violent extremists” include individuals who “take overt steps to violently resist or facilitate the overthrow of the U.S. government in support of their belief that the U.S. government is purposely exceeding its Constitutional authority.” Perhaps like setting up a private informant scheme to evade constitutional restrictions on warrantless surveillance?

One DHS official bewailed to CNN: “Domestic violent extremists are really adaptive and innovative. We see them not only moving to encrypted platforms, but obviously couching their language so they don’t trigger any kind of red flag on any platforms.” DHS officials have apparently decided that certain groups of people are guilty regardless of what they say (“couching their language”). The targets are likely to be simply people with a bad attitude towards Washington. That will include gun owners who distrust politicians who vow to seize guns.

The latest fuzzball standards (“narratives of concern”?) fit the post-9/11 pattern of wildly expansive threat definitions. Shortly after its creation in 2002, DHS warned local law enforcement agencies to keep an eye on anyone who “expressed dislike of attitudes and decisions of the U.S. government” as potential terrorists. DHS-funded Fusion Centers have attached the “extremist” tag to gun-rights activists, anti-immigration zealots, and individuals and groups “rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority”—even though many of the Founding Fathers shared the same creed. The Pentagon taught soldiers and bureaucrats that people who attend public protests are guilty of “low-level terrorism.” An Air Force report accused women who wear hijabs of “passive terrorism.” Endless enemies lists come in handy at congressional appropriations hearings.

Google Settles Deal With Elon Musk’s Starlink Project in Effort to Expand Global Internet Services

Elon Musk’s SpaceX Company is in the process of constructing Starlink, a satellite internet constellation made of thousands of satellites launched into low earth-orbit (LEO) that communicate with terrestrial transceivers. The satellites are expected to meet the demand of low-cost global broadband capabilities and provide internet to the planet.

Google announced Thursday that it would be joining forces with Starlink satellites after the data cloud tech giant won a bid to supply computing and networking resources to SpaceX.

“The real potential of this technology became very obvious. The power of combining cloud with universal secure connectivity, it’s a very powerful combination,” Google’s head of global networking Bikash Koley said, according to CNBC.

Reports state that SpaceX plans to install terrestrial stations at Google data centers already established nationally and internationally. The deal will involve data being transported between Starlink’s satellite constellation and Google’s internal networking system.

“Google Cloud's high-capacity private network will support the delivery of Starlink's global satellite internet service, bringing businesses and consumers seamless connectivity to the cloud and internet, and enabling the delivery of critical enterprise applications to virtually any location,” the companies stated, according to PCmag.

For Google, the expectation is to boost its cloud business by giving organizations the incentive of high speed internet when using applications within the Google cloud network. Google data centers are currently located on every continent except Africa, Australia and Antarctica.

Musk has stated in the past that the goal for Starlink is to provide internet services to the entire planet. In 2020, SpaceX used its own fleet of reusable space rockets to launch thousands of satellites into LEO. The most recent mission by SpaceX included the May 9 launch of Falcon 9 Block 5, with the intent of dispatching 60 new satellites into LEO.

— SpaceX (@SpaceX) May 8, 2021

Last month, the Federal Communications Commission approved SpaceX’s request to launch thousands more of Starlink satellites into orbit. The approval was met with much opposition, including from competitors like Amazon, whose own satellite constellation known as Project Kuiper was approved to deploy thousands of satellites into LEO with the intent of also expanding internet access.

According to different sources, many fear that the Starlink constellation will negatively impact LEO’s already crowded atmosphere, as space debris and light pollution has been an ongoing existential crisis for humanity's insatiable space endeavor. Musk has maintained that Starlink will not be easily seen or interfere with advancements in astronomy, even though the initial launch of Starlink satellites proved this to be questionable.

Microsoft also announced last year that its data centers would be working with the Starlink constellation to expand its Azure cloud business, connecting the large web data pool with Google’s own ground stations.

Starlink, though still in its early stages of its potential, has met resistance from international competitors, as well. This includes Russia and China, who are both also racing to keep up with America's growing space ambitions. In the meantime, Musk has hinted on Twitter that he intends to provide services where services are not always provided, including the Middle East.

Starlink satellite internet is currently undergoing beta testing and according to Teslarati, SpaceX has revealed that already over 500,000 people are prepared to use Starlink’s internet services. SpaceX has plans to launch its next set of satellites into LEO from the John F. Kennedy Space Center on May 15.

12 arrested in France in latest hit against tobacco smugglers

Earlier this week, the French Gendarmerie (Gendarmerie Nationale) with the support of the French Judicial Customs (SEJF) arrested 5 individuals and seized 250 000 counterfeit cigarettes in a series of raids in the city of Nantes.

This action follows an earlier one on 9 April which saw 7 other members of the same organised crime group arrested in the cities of Nantes, Rodez and Montpellier. On this occasion, close to 5 tonnes of counterfeit cigarettes were seized, alongside €37 000 in cash.

Europol deployed specialists from its European Financial Economic Crime Centre (EFECC) on both these actions days to support the French authorities.

This organised crime group received the illegal cigarettes from two criminal networks based abroad, arranged for their storage in various cities in France and then managed their subsequent distribution through a number of criminal wholesalers – composed mostly of Georgian, Armenian and Ukrainian nationals – onto the French black market.

The same organised crime group was also involved in the management of payments and the corresponding financial flows. This criminal group has now been fully dismantled.

Since the start of the investigation, the French investigators collected evidence that over 75 tonnes of counterfeit cigarettes were imported and distributed throughout France for a loss to the French budget estimated close to €22 million.

Europol support

Europol’s Analysis Project (AP) Smoke as part of the EFECC has supported this investigation from the onset and organised coordination meetings with the national investigators involved to discuss procedural requirements and identify a clear way forward.

Its experts there after organised the intensive exchange of information needed to prepare for the action days in France.

This investigation was carried out in the framework of the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats.

NSW man caught with thousands of child abuse videos and images inside home

A New South Wales man has been convicted after being caught with nearly 27,000 child abuse images and videos on electronic devices inside his home.

Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers found the child abuse material stored on computers, mobile phones and other devices, including three USBs which were found wrapped in electrical tape and hidden under cups in a kitchen cupboard.

Some of the images and videos showed babies and children being tortured and sexually assaulted by adults.

The 38-year-old man was sentenced yesterday to 18 months' jail by the Sydney District Court for four offences of possessing child abuse material and three counts of using a carriage service to access child pornography.

However, the man could now be free in the community, due to his sentence being backdated to February 19 2021 to account for time spent in custody on remand.

AFP officers arrested and charged the man on August 20 2019 after he was identified by US Homeland Security Investigations as a customer of an international child exploitation website.

Records indicated the man, from regional NSW, spent more than $3000 to purchase thousands of images and videos through the website between 2017 and 2019.

AFP Senior Constable Dannii Campbell, from the Child Protection Operations team, said anyone who viewed child exploitation material was supporting a "vile industry" which harmed children.

"Our common goal is to protect children, wherever they live, and ensure anyone who tries to hurt and exploit them is identified and brought before the courts," Senior Constable Campbell said.

Australian banker paid David Cameron more than he earned as UK’s PM

London: David Cameron says he was paid far more by Australian banker Lex Greensill than he earned as prime minister of Britain but refused to confirm reports his payday amounted to tens of millions of dollars.

Cameron was hauled before the British parliament for more than three hours to answer questions about his conduct on behalf of his work for Greensill since mid-2018.

He was asked several times by both Labour and Conservative MPs to confirm his earnings after he had previously denied he’d been paid as much as £60 million ($108 million).

Cameron told the Treasury committee that he earned “a generous amount, far more than I earned as prime minister”.

“I was paid an annual amount, a generous annual amount, far more than what I earned as prime minister, and I had shares - not share options but shares in the business - which vested over the period of time of my contract,” he said.

“I had a big economic investment in the future of Greensill,” he said. But he said that the exact figure was “not required” and a “private matter”.

At the time he quit, having lost the EU referendum, Cameron was paid £150,000 ($272,000) per year. Cameron declined to confirm a report by The Wall Street Journal that he earned millions from Greensill between his salary, bonuses, and cashed out share options.

Cameron confirmed he used Greensill’s private jet “a handful of times,” including to travel to his holiday home in Cornwall.

He also confirmed that when in Australia for a lecture tour, he met insurers — whom Lex Greensill blames for his company’s collapse — for a “get-to-know-them” session.

Cameron said he would talk to Greensill about once a week and had an open invitation to attend board meetings, which he regularly did, although he was not a director.

The former prime minister sent ministers and civil servants 45 messages and emails seeking taxpayer-backed help for Greensill Capital during the pandemic.

He wanted a Bank of England-backed support scheme to finance Greensill’s bonds.
