GETTING JIGGY IN THE JUNGLE British women are travelling to the Calais Jungle ‘to have SEX with migrants – and some have multiple partners in a day’
Some of the migrants are also alleged to be underage according to a post on Facebook which has sparked a ferocious row
AID workers in the Calais Jungle have been accused of having sex with migrants - in some cases with multiple partners a day.
A whistleblower took to Facebook to accuse volunteers of using camp prostitutes and sleeping with multiple migrants within the same 24 hours.
Other aid workers have claimed chancing volunteers are treating the camp as a "free for all festival" and struggle to "keep it in their pants".
Female volunteers allegedly having sex with male migrants was said to be the most common combination for the trysts.
One volunteer said to have a "bad reputation" for romping with refugees was asked to leave the camp.
Another male worker had to be "persuaded not to return" owing to his behaviour with female migrants.
According to the original post, the whistleblower claimed: "I have heard of boys, believed to be under the age of consent, having sex with volunteers.
"I have heard stories of men using the prostitutes in the Jungle too. I have heard of volunteers having sex with multiple partners in one day, only to carry on in the same vein the following day.
"And I also know that I'm only hearing a small part of a wider scale of abuse.
“Sex from a person who is in a position of power or influence, in such a one-sided affair, especially where it is perceived that aid or better aid can be gained from it, that it is, and can be defined as sexual abuse."
A number of volunteers vehemently criticised the whistleblower for discussing the allegations in public.
But, one volunteer defended him claiming: "It always really worries me that we're more concerned with the press/our reputation than we are with the sexual abuse itself."
According to the Independent, some volunteers believe sexual relationships between aid workers and refugees is 'natural' while others believe it breaks the 'usual codes of conduct'.
The UNHCR has a 'zero tolerance' policy concerning the sexual exploitation of refugees in such camps.
One commented critically on the post: “I find this attitude incredibly patronising and paternalistic with added sexism and racism.
“There is a serious point in here among all the moralistic bulls**t but I find it very off-putting. I find the assertion that women choosing to have sex encourages rape quite frankly disturbing.”
Another contributor added: "So the concerns around exploitation of vulnerable people should be 'kept private' should they? 'Kept within the group' .
"Whatever your feelings on sex between volunteers and refugees it is clear that it is a very important subject to discuss OPENLY.
"The press is a perfectly valid place to analyse and protect vulnerable people.
"It is exactly this notion of protecting people that ensured children were abused for years within childrens homes and the Catholic Church."

Police hunt man who asked to buy baby
West Midlands Police said a woman was approached at around 8:30am on Tuesday as she walked with a pram in the Promenade in Brierley Hill, according to a statement from West Midlands Police.
The man asked the mother to buy her baby, going on to obstruct the woman’s path and trying to undo the pushchair’s safety belts.
The woman and her baby were able to escape unharmed as the mother pushed the man away and turned the pram around.
