That is an blessing, Anon. The nausea was a herxheimer reaction. I've been taking Ivermectin for years because I handle wildlife everyday and they contact every other thing in creation. But I was using the horse dose, which is below the mg/kg range for humans…when I upped it to 2x (horse or 90% upper human) I got nauseous within a few hours and ill like I'd been poisoned…that must've been the dose that finally killed off the bugs and their death gave me (and likely your friend) a herxheimer reaction.

To verify it was herx and not a tox reaction, I actually took 50% (it has VERY wide safety margin - >10x) and did NOT get sicker, but steadily better over the next day or two. If it was tox, I would've gotten 50% sicker, not better. So the foreign field case guidelines were absolutely spot on wrt dosing.

Steady improvement for the past six weeks or so since the boost. Only one redose since then, but just got another six-pack at Tractor Supply on Monday. Price has gone up, as has the demand. Was $3.49/tube ($3/t in 6pk), now $5/t (still dirt cheap) Had to go to two stores in different counties. Surprisingly the rural (redneck) county was all out. kek They know.

>herxheimer reaction

Let me add that Milk Thistle will help MUCH more quickly clear a Herxheimer reaction as it dramatically improves liver function and is also hepatoprotective as well as nephroprotective (from downstream liver toxic outputs) at the same time. Doubling or tripling on this is fine since iirc there is no known unsafe level of Milk Thistle. In fact, not taking it in certain situations is fatal. Amanita Death Cap poisoning, etc…

Sounds about right. Enough to reach therapeutic levels, bugs to die, byproducts to form, liver to get really unhappy trying to breakdown that mess. Once they're confident of the effect, they should consider getting near the upper human range of .4 mg/kg (double horse = 37.4, so…pretty close) . The Indian hospital studies showed that to be the sweet spot and it was for me. I was also dramatically underdosing on frequency (quarterly - as I'd seen yearlong fx reported). Indian recommendations are monthly at .4 mg/kg. Easy peasy.

Glad to help. Peace to you, Anon.

Be sure and supplement with high quality protein, B complex, esp B6 in higher dosages, D3, vit. C, E, zinc and selenium. Antioxidants get more and more important as we age and the last 3 are potent ones that are involved in numerous other processes. Zinc deficiency is right with D3 for mass epidemic of misery. Selenium will surprise you as well.

The four electrolytes get low easily as the only one under tight control is calcium…magnesium, potassium, and sodium (esp as plain salt) get low and are problems. Very easily checked since they respond quickly (electrically fast).

Greens are WAY more important than folks realize as they're the primary source for nitrates, without which all manner of cardiovascular trouble flows. No one has a pharmaceutical deficiency, but most have numerous nutritional ones, despite what our lovely minders would have us believe.

So, eat your greens, drink lots of coffee, add a pinch of salt to taste, and supplement B's, C, D3, E, Zn, Mg, and Se. Those are harder to get and cheap.

Good luck. Play around until you get it dialed in.

Beats me. Usually with Herx it's easy to trace back to something that kills bugs...antibiotics, herbals, drugs, etc... When they die in large numbers they pollute the bloodstream while the body (liver esp.) detoxifies. Not fun. But a good sign overall. If the first several hours/day or two is followed by steady improvement, then that is also a good sign.

Please don't forget the selenium. I hate to give the Chinese credit, but they do some top notch research when they put their minds to it. The selenium i learned from their research and has been a Godsend. In fact it was one of the nutes that in the patient groups the upper ranges were below the lower ranges for the controls…usually there's a fair amount of overlap. Best wishes, kind Anon. We fam here.
