Depends on what faith you're talking about 'now' though.. the promise was given to 'Jewish' Abraham in the Old Testament times prior to the coming of the Messiah.. Israel would be blessed.. the problem is many people think that means the physical land of Israel.. it doesn't. It means the descendants of Abraham who are as vast as the stars in the sky.. the Jews of the time who came to believe in Jesus as the Messiah went on to follow Christianity.. all of us down the line who do so are the descendants of Abraham.. in a sense 'Israel'. Jewish Israel today who reject Jesus as Messiah and God don't exactly have the blessing of God.. just look at the mosque that sits where the Temple used to be. Demons are mocking God thinking they sit where He used to sit as they promised to do.. it doesn't matter though as the times of God only being worshiped and given sacrifice to in the Temple are over.. the Messiah in Jesus came and those who believe in Him are the descendants promised to Abraham. People that don't believe Jesus is the Messiah can disregard this as they do already. But consider if the land of Israel is so blessed where is the Temple and what now stands in its place? Israel is not blessed for the sake of its name.. it is only blessed because there are those living there who believe in Him.
