European Health Commissioner caught in flagrant act of corruption

According to the Audit Office of the Replublic of Cyprus, Health European Commissioner Stélla Kyriakídou, is unable to justify various payments made into a bank account held by her husband, Kyriakos Kyriakídou, on behalf of the Maralo Ltd company.

In her declaration of financial interests, Mrs. Kyriakídou had failed to declare that her husband is the CEO of Maralo Limited.

According to the Court, which has scrutinized the banking transactions of the Kyriakídou family under the “Politically Exposed Persons” (PEP) regulations, the unjustifiable sum would amount to 4 million euros.

European Commissioner Kyriakídou played a central role in the negotiations for the purchase of anti-Covid vaccines. The heads of state and government of the European Council had in fact given her instructions to make a group purchase of vaccines for their respective states, although this modality is not provided for by the Treaties.

While no one has contested the sums involved, Commissioner Kyriakídou has concealed several contractual clauses that she deems to be confidential. Strangely, British-Swedish pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca, had not submitted to a delivery schedule.

According to Hungarian journalist Miklós Ómolnár (V4NA), Ms Kyriakídou was already at the center of a large corruption scandal in Cyprus during the nationalization of all cancer treatment centers.

German MEP Sven Giegold (Alliance 90 / Les Verts) has demanded an explanation from the European Commission.

Vandenberg Air Force Base To Be Renamed As Space Force Base

Vandenberg Air Force Base in California will be renamed Vandenberg Space Force Base on Friday.

As reported by The Associated Press, “The Space Force was created as the sixth uniformed military branch in 2019 during the administration of former President Donald Trump. Personnel assigned to the Air Force Space Command were reassigned to the Space Force, ending its Air Force lineage.”“Redesignating Air Force installations as Space Force installations is critical to establishing a distinct culture and identity for the Space Force,” a base statement said.

Vandenberg was originally created in 1941 as Camp Cooke, an Army garrison for tank, infantry and artillery training, per the AP.

The location of the base made it a good place to carry out missile tests and perform launches into polar orbit. It was reestablished during the Cold War as Cooke Air Force Base and then Vandenberg in honor of Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg, the second chief of staff of the Air Force.President Joe Biden decided to keep the Space Force earlier this year when he began his first term in the White House, although his administration has received criticism for its handling of the branch.

“They absolutely have the full support of the Biden administration,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters about the Space Force, a day after she was criticized for appearing to mock the Space Force and not take a question about it seriously.

The Daily Wire reported that Psaki was asked about what Biden’s plans were regarding the Space Force, including whether he wanted to keep the new military branch.

“Wow. Space Force. It’s the plane of today,” Psaki responded sarcastically. “It is an interesting question. I am happy to check with our Space Force point of contact. I’m not sure who that is. I will find out and see if we have any update on that.”

Psaki’s comments were an apparent reference to previous questions from reporters about whether the Biden administration would change the colors on Air Force One.

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL), the House Armed Services Committee’s top Republican, demanded that Psaki apologize for the remark.

“It’s concerning to see the Biden administration’s press secretary blatantly diminish an entire branch of our military as the punchline of a joke, which I’m sure China would find funny,” Rogers said. “The Space Force was passed with near unanimous support in Congress, the same type of ‘unity’ President Biden is supposedly working towards. Jen Psaki needs to immediately apologize to the men and women of the Space Force for this disgraceful comment.”

In a podcast interview with David Axelrod earlier this month, Psaki discussed her comments about the Space Force, saying, “There are certainly days where I wish I hadn’t said something that I had said … somebody asked me about the Space Force … and my intention was never to begrudge the men and women serving in the Space Force. I was a week in and I had not spent time with the Space Force yet, but that was a good lesson. … To their credit, the head of the Space Force wrote me a note … I will always be an advocate for the Space Force. But it’s a lesson.”

Virologist: NIAID grantee funded Wuhan coronavirus studies used in gain-of-function research

In a tense exchange Tuesday with Sen. Rand Paul, longtime NIAID Director Anthony Fauci categorically and repeatedly denied his institute has funded gain-of-function research.

A prominent Columbia University virologist claims that in the years leading up to the COVID-19 pandemic a U.S. nonprofit funded coronavirus experiments in Wuhan, China the results of which were used in "gain-of-function" virology research at the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Vincent Racaniello made the claim amid ongoing controversy over a recently resurfaced interview between himself and Peter Daszak, the president of the U.S. infectious disease nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance.

Both EcoHealth Alliance and the scientist leading the research at UNC have been heavily funded over the years by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which has been directed since 1984 by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the public face of the federal response to the COVID-19 pandemic under Presidents Trump and Biden.

Fauci categorically and repeatedly denied that NIAID has funded gain-of-function research in a tense exchange Tuesday with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) at a Senate hearing.

Racianello's half-hour interview with Daszak took place in early December 2019 at the Nipah Virus International Conference in Singapore. Significant attention has been given to a segment in which Daszak appears to allude to having participated in "gain-of-function" experiments, a type of procedure in which scientists increase a virus's pathogenicity and/or transmissibility in order to study its potential for human infection.

"You can manipulate [coronaviruses] in the lab pretty easily," Daszak says in the interview. "Spike protein drives a lot of what happens with the coronavirus, zoonotic risk. So you can get the sequence, you can build the protein — and we work with Ralph Baric at UNC to do this — insert into the backbone of another virus, and do, do some work in the lab."

Those remarks, when they resurfaced this week, caused considerable controversy due to Daszak's role in funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars through his EcoHealth Alliance to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to bankroll coronavirus experiments there. The Wuhan lab sits just a few miles from where the first detected outbreak of COVID-19 occurred.

Speculation has swirled over the last year as to what role, if any, the Wuhan lab may have played in the origin of the pandemic, including whether it was engaging in any gain-of-function experiments that may have posed a pandemic risk.

On April 20 and 25, 2021 we published on the site “When the soldiers speak, the hour is serious” as well as “For a return of the honor of our rulers”: 20 generals call on Macron to defend patriotism “.

In response to these publications, Rear Admiral Claude Gaucherand and various officers made the following communiqué which they jointly signed:

RESPONSE TO THE APPEAL OF THE THOUSAND MILITARY PERSONNEL.

Judging that there is danger in the house of France, twenty generals of the second section and more than a thousand soldiers drawn from the reserve cadre have launched an appeal to government authorities. Here without a spirit of controversy is the personal opinion of a group of citizens who have in common to have served for an active period of their lives as officers in one of the three Armed Forces. It is in this capacity that they share an anxiety concerning the present and future of France that more or less in the near term they will bequeath to their descendants.

In doing this however no one is claiming to represent the opinion of active military personnel nor to suggest any involvement on the part of the latter, those who are dedicated to serve their nation as a whole, actively and often at peril of their lives.

“The hour is serious, France is in peril, several mortal dangers threaten her.

It is therefore imperative that those who run our country find the courage to eradicate these dangers. To do this, it is often enough to apply existing laws without weakness. Remember that, like us, a large majority of our fellow citizens are overwhelmed by your dawdling and culpable silences.”

These military personnel make an observation that we can only share in its generality but it appears more debatable when one came to the more precise choice of the said dangers.

As for the solution to eradicate the great peril, it appears to be nothing more than a pious wish.

In effect, when one wishes to heal a wrong, it is appropriate to distinguish between the symptoms and the root of the wrong properly identified, and therefore to distinguish palliative care as physicians call it from curative treatment. They are complementary. The first without the second does not work and, more often, the second is not humanely supportable without the contribution of the first.

It is in this approach that our disagreement resides, for if we agree on the definition of these dangers they seem to us to be the simple symptoms of a more profound illness, the roots of which it is necessary to attack if one wants France to survive. Is it not illusory to demand of those who are administering the poison, in a manner that is probably consciously and doubtless in all sincerity, to really want to change the syringe for us to inject the antidote?

In its great majority our political class, that is served by a parliamentary system which is more than secular, has for decades been led astray by high finance which holds the purse strings and controls the mass media and which therefore decides who will or will not be elected, is served in that by all sorts of relays which are among others Bilderberg, Davos, the CRIF, and the brotherhoods.

This political class which Jean Pierre Chevènement had so lucidly described as equal-to-itself, served by a solid and deferential administration, is only there to execute the dictates of those who hold power, that is, high finance, dictates relayed by the organisation of the European Community composed of more than 25,000 bureaucrats who had been elected by no one but who are invested with the authority which treaties confer on them.

Space Force CO Who Got Holiday Call from Trump Fired Over Comments Decrying Marxism in the Military

A commander of a U.S. Space Force unit tasked with detecting ballistic missile launches has been fired for comments made during a podcast promoting his new book, which claims Marxist ideologies are becoming prevalent in the United States military.

Lt Col. Matthew Lohmeier, commander of 11th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, was relieved from his post Friday by Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting, the head of Space Operations Command, over a loss of confidence in his ability to lead, Military.com has exclusively learned.

"This decision was based on public comments made by Lt. Col. Lohmeier in a recent podcast," a Space Force spokesperson said in an email. "Lt. Gen. Whiting has initiated a Command Directed Investigation on whether these comments constituted prohibited partisan political activity."

Lohmeier's temporary assignment in the wake of his removal was not immediately clear.

Earlier this month, Lohmeier, a former instructor and fighter pilot who transferred into the Space Force, self-published a book titled "Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military."

"Irresistible Revolution is a timely and bold contribution from an active-duty Space Force lieutenant colonel who sees the impact of a neo-Marxist agenda at the ground level within our armed forces," a description of the book reads.

Lohmeier sat down last week with L. Todd Wood of the podcast "Information Operation," hosted by Creative Destruction, or CD, Media, to promote the book. He spoke about U.S. institutions, including universities, media and federal agencies including the military, that he said are increasingly adopting leftist practices. These practices such as diversity and inclusion training are the systemic cause for the divisive climate across America today, he said.

From his perspective as a commander, Lohmeier said he didn't seek to criticize any particular senior leader or publicly identify troops within the book. Rather, he said, he focused on the policies service members now have to adhere to to align with certain agendas "that are now affecting our culture."

Regarding Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, he said, "I don't demonize the man, but I want to make it clear to both him and every service member this [diversity and inclusion] agenda, it will divide us, it will not unify us."

Austin on Feb. 5 ordered all military services to observe one-day stand-down on extremism in the ranks. As part of his stand-down, Lohmeier said, he was given a booklet that cited the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol as an example of extremism, but did not mention the civil disobedience and destruction of property that took place following the death of George Flloyd, a Black man, at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis last May.

He also took issue with "the Pentagon spokesperson," seeming to allude to Press Secretary John Kirby. Lohmeier claimed Kirby said "there are too many white pilots," amid an ever-increasing pilot shortage.

"If you want to provide that kind of messaging to your already struggling pilot force, you can already expect to see further retention problems," he said.

Update: FBI Quielty Acknowledges That Brutal 2017 Baseball Field Attack Was Actually ‘Domestic Terrorism’

Democrats and their media allies have been quick to label the slightest offense to them as ‘domestic terrorism’ when the offense is carried out by a supporter of President Donald J. Trump. They are also mute when actual deadly domestic terrorism happens, and here is another case of the violent left being enabled and ignored.

In June 2017, James Hodgkinson shot a number of Republicans who were at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park after asking GOP Rep. Jeff Duncan, who was leaving practice there, if the remaining players were Republicans or Democrats, signaling he was looking for a certain profile.

Hodgkinson struck US House member Steve Scalise and almost killed him, hit lobbyist Matt Mika in the chest, and injured two U.S. Capitol Police officers, Crystal Griner and David Bailey.

According to the FBI, in an official report that was released on Friday, the brutal 2017 attack at the Alexandria, Virginia, baseball field that nearly killed Rep. Steve Scalise has been classified as “domestic terrorism” carried out by a “domestic violent extremist” targeting Republicans after the bureau previously classified it as “suicide by cop.”

But as The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the event had been originally labeled “suicide by cop”. In late April of 2021, a US House representative instructed a reluctant Christopher Wray to investigate the origins of that odd report.

Then the event was quietly updated to a domestic terrorist event.

Friday’s revelation was buried deep in the middle of a long FBI release and reversed that decision that was made by Andrew McCabe in 2017. McCabe was apparently trying to soften the scrutiny of the motivation for the attempted murder of Republicans at the hand of a far-left radical activist.

The Washington Examiner reported on the matter, telling us where to find the information:

The revelation appears in the middle of an appendix on page 35 of a 40-page FBI-DHS report released on Friday titled “Security Strategic Intelligence Assessment and Data on Domestic Terrorism.” In a section describing approximately 85 different “FBI-Designated Significant Domestic Terrorism Incidents in the United States from 2015 through 2019,” the Alexandria baseball field shooting appears, with the FBI categorizing the perpetrator as a “Domestic Violent Extremist” and describing the incident thusly: “An individual with a personalized violent ideology targeted and shot Republican members of Congress at a baseball field and wounded five people. The subject died as a result of engagement with law enforcement.”

It’s interesting when the FBI does things like that and forgets to update the public.

Tennessee gas station is making headlines for slamming Joe Biden over soaring gas prices by broadcasting a giant Hunter Biden meme on its sign.

The Lewis Country Store in Nashville flashed a series of memes on its sign, such as Fox News host Tucker Carlson laughing and an empty gas gauge with the Biden/Harris logo.

“Hope gas prices don’t get too high,” one side of the meme reads, with the other side showing an infamous photo of Hunter posing in his bathtub captioned, “gas prices.”

The owners of the gas station haven’t been afraid to promote their conservative values in the past.

Last July, the country store slammed the COVID lockdowns with a sign that read, “Roses are red. Grass is greener. If you think I’m gonna wear a mask, you can suck my wiener.” “If you are scared stay at home! If you are afraid to be within 6 feet of another person please do not enter,” the shop’s signage read.

Minister of Transport approved Chinese fighter pilot training in Canadian airspace

The scandal was first mentioned as a throw away line in a CBC News story from 2020 on the increased fighter jet air traffic over London, Ontario:

But in typical CBC fashion, the real story is buried way down in the article.

A private company called ITPS Canada is training foreign fighter pilots on "aircraft to aircraft combat aircraft to ground combat and aerobatics”, according to the statement given by Giorgio Clementi the owner of the company.

The pilots are here for a year to learn everything about 20 different aircraft from single engine propeller planes to large jets. Clients have included the Italian, Turkish, Malaysian, and Chinese Air forces.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army is using Canadian airspace to hone their skills to kill Canadian allies.

Exclusive documents obtained by Rebel News through an Access to Information request detail that Transport Minister Marc Garneau was specifically informed of each time a Chinese pilot was training at the private training facility:

In the case of flight training conducted under sub-paragraph 2.b, the flight instructor shall notify the Minister in writing of the name in person receiving the training, the registration of the aircraft to be used, the type of training to be conducted, the location of the training operations, the name and license number of the flight instructor. The information must be provided to the Minister prior to commencing training operations, within 10 working days of any change to the information, and when the training is discontinued.

Garneau was in the loop every step of the way.

These operations are being conducted in public airspace that is located in a populated area north of London, Ontario. The primary clientele for these flight operations are foreign pilots / militaries that contract ITPS (Canada) to supplement their programs.

ITPS is a recognized international center of excellence, providing training as well as consulting services to entities in China, Turkey, Italy, Germany and Thailand.

With Bill C-21, Justin Trudeau is apparently gunning for ALL kinds of guns — including airsoft guns!

You may have heard of Bill C-21, a.k.a., the Trudeau Liberals’ colossal gun grab, in which more than 1,500 firearms will be legislated out of existence.

But did you know this ban will include non-lethal guns such as airsoft guns, simply because those harmless guns, you know, kinda look lethal?

Indeed, check out our interview with Jay Tan, the owner of Action Air Canada in Mississauga, Ont. Jay calls Bill C-21 “a knee-jerk reaction” to make it seem that the Trudeau Liberals are doing something tangible to get illegal handguns off the streets.

But it is all just political theatre and grandstanding.

While some airsoft guns might resemble lethal guns, that doesn’t change the fact that airsoft guns are not lethal, and therefore, useless in committing a crime.

In fact, Jay points out that even if all the actual real guns (i.e., guns that are loaded with bullets, not pellets) on the Trudeau hit list are eradicated in the next couple of years, this will have zero effect on gun crime.

For starters, the owners of legal guns don’t tend to commit gun crime. And criminals, by definition, tend to act out illegally — and that includes sourcing (already-illegal) handguns to commit their crimes.

Imagine that?

Incidentally, what kind of criminal would make use of an airsoft gun to pull off a crime in the first place? Criminals may be immoral — but they’re not necessarily stupid.

What is stupid, however, is virtue signalling legislation like Bill C-21 — legislation that will have zero effect on gun crime, but have a major effect when it comes to putting honest Canadians like Jay Tan out of business. Disgraceful.

Portland Police Union President Says City Is ‘On the Precipice of a Gang War’

The president of Portland, Oregon’s police union said in a blistering new statement that the city is on the brink of war.

“We need to talk about the elephant in the room: gun violence. We are on the precipice of a gang war,” said Daryl Turner, head of the Portland Police Association.

Police in the state’s largest city had responded to 357 shootings as of May 9, an increase of over 100 percent from the same time period the year prior.

Portland dealt with a jump in violence in 2020, with both shootings and murders skyrocketing, along with near-nightly riots that regularly diverted attention from 911 calls.

Officials in the city have tried addressing both matters, escalating the response to rioting and approving $6 million to combat shootings.

But the city has not brought back the Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT) and none of the new funding went to the police. That’s on top of the City Council cutting money for the police force in 2020.

Turner said that commissioners “only use data when it serves their political agendas” and called what he sees as a continued ignorance of statistics and shifting of blame unacceptable.

“The GVRT proactively policed with a holistic approach, building partnerships and relationships to get illegal guns off the street. It’s obvious to everyone except for City Council that more guns and increased gang activity mean more violence,” he said in the new statement.

City Council members are now focused on making additional cuts to the Portland Police Bureau’s budget, which will not address the gun violence epidemic, according to Turner.

“The answer is that our community deserves a fully staffed police force with a minimum of 1,000 officers and a full budget commitment to addressing gun violence, AND our community deserves adequate social service resources. Forcing us to choose one over the other is short-sighted. Social services and alternatives resources are not a replacement for police officers and common-sense public safety infrastructure,” he said.

A spokesman for Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat who also serves as police commissioner and sits on the council, declined to comment, referring The Epoch Times to Portland’s Office of Violence Prevention. The office did not respond to an inquiry.

Nike Green, the office’s director, last month called the jump in shootings “a public health crisis.” Green said the office was using “data, research, and evidence-based practices to prioritize partnerships designed to interrupt cycles of gun violence,” such as programs with violence interrupters, who seek to stop shootings before they happen.

The other city commissioners did not respond to requests for comment.

The council on Thursday approved a 2021 budget that includes a $3 million cut to the police bureau, local media reported.

Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty, a Democrat, said in a statement that she appreciated the budget not adding “ongoing funds back into the Portland Police Bureau after council reallocated money from the bureau into the Portland Street Response and other community investments last year.”
