Abbott: Amount of Fentanyl Caught at Border up Nearly 800% April over April

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) stated that there has been a nearly “800% increase April over April” in the amount of fentanyl coming across the border apprehended by the Texas Department of Public Safety. And that there has been enough fentanyl obtained to kill everyone in New York.

Abbott said, “I’ve got to tell you, Steve, there’s something else, a new dynamic about what’s going on at the border that Americans need to know about, and that is the increased apprehension of fentanyl coming across the border. Yes, there may be people coming across the border. But there [are] dangerous drugs coming across the border. For your audience who may not know, two milligrams of fentanyl is a fatal dose. And so, know this, we had…[an] almost 800% increase April over April of the amount of fentanyl that has been apprehended by the Texas Department of Public Safety. We have obtained enough fentanyl coming across the border to kill every single person in the state of New York.”

Forty-one district attorneys speak out against California’s release of 76,000 criminals

District attorneys from across California are pushing back against their state’s effort to release 76,000 criminals back on to the streets.

“Allowing the early release of the most dangerous criminals, shortening sentences as much as 50%, impacts crime victims and creates a serious public safety risk,” Sacramento DA Anne Marie Schubert said in a statement.

The district attorney accused the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation of using a “claim of emergency” to release “some of California’s most violent criminals.

Schubert, alongside 40 other district attorneys, signed a petition to cancel the releases, suggesting a more transparent process going forward.

“This petition asks CDCR to repeal these regulations, begin the process anew, and allow for transparency and public input,” the statement read. “Victims, their families, and all Californians deserve a fair and honest debate about the wisdom of such drastic regulations.”

The petition comes just weeks after the CDCR announced the decision to release 76,000 criminals (of which more than 63,000 inmates were convicted of violent crimes and 20,000 are serving life sentences) hastily and without any community notice.

Would An Actual Potato Be Better At Hosting ‘Reliable Sources’ Than Brian Stelter?

Just as the late Michael Kelly once noted that Bill Clinton’s foreign policy team would improve if replaced by a ham and cheese sandwich, this got me thinking. If the anthropomorphic potato head who hosts “Reliable Sources” finds an elementary article about unmasking invulnerable people in the great outdoors to be “really thoughtful,” perhaps an actual potato would be a better host.

Hear me out. Of course, Stelter is probably a better communicator, having spent more than a decade of his 35 years of life anchoring the CNN show. He’s no stranger to the camera and the spotlight. In fact, he loves it, even when he’s just ranting about his feelings or having a meltdown about conservative media paying attention to massive spy scandals.

But if a journalist’s job is to get to the root of a story, then there’s something to be said for a literal spud. Those tubers do a better job of digging deep than Stelter, whose usual journalistic offerings consist of merely covering how Fox is covering the news.

He’s so committed to that bit, he actually channeled his obsession into a book about the right-wing network called “Hoax” (a term Stelter should be familiar with after having peddled the Russia collusion one for years). Say what you will about the broadcast ineptitude of potatoes, but they’re rarely deranged.

"However, significant evidence — largely drawn from government and corporate sources — reveals that labor transfers are deployed in the Uyghur Region within an environment of unprecedented coercion, undergirded by the constant threat of re-education and internment.

Had enough? That's slave labor, as the story outlines.

But of course. China you see, isn't paying the help.

And make no mistake: that leaves American workers holding the bag, competing against those zero-wage workers who don't want to be there in the province of Xinjiang.

Joe himself has apparently decided, as of this writing, to keep President Trump's China tariffs on solar panels on, supposedly to even the field, but he's now being lobbied heavily, by China-linked business interests, the kind who "employ" energy gurus like Hunter Biden, to drop them.

Supposedly, such import tariffs even the field, but it's likely it won't — not when you pay your labor force zero, and have already conquered eight out of the top ten U.S. solar panel companies in the market.

Even the New York Times has noticed, claiming that China's Solar Panel Industry "presents Biden with an ugly dilemma." Ya think?

Anyone think Biden will hold off forever against the lobbyists, given his record? Why the hell does he let anything made with slave labor into this country? This stuff shouldn't be tariffed; it should be banned.
