Right-of-Center Books Hidden from Amazon Search Results

Notable upcoming books released by conservative authors have suddenly disappeared from Amazon’s search results.

Conservative author and New York Post editor Sohrab Ahmari’s book on America’s abandonment of virtuous ethical and religious traditions is among books that appear to be shadow-banned within a week of its launch.

“My new book, THE UNBROKEN THREAD: DISCOVERING THE WISDOM OF TRADITION has disappeared from Amazon search results,” Ahmari tweeted. “You can still find the product if you have the exact link but it doesn’t show up in search. Big Tech and Bezos are at war with my ideas.”

Hilbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance, Under Siege: No Finer Time to be a Faithful Catholic by Austin Ruse, and Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis also disappeared from search results.

“Amazon is suppressing my new book, Under Siege: No Finer Time to be a Faithful Catholic. It is now hidden,” Ruse tweeted. “Can only find it by going through one of my older books to "Frequently Bought Together.”

After sparking outrage on Twitter, Amazon restored several of the books to its search results.

Amazon is no stranger to censoring books that advocate for conservative ideas.

When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, written by President of the Ethics and Public Policy Center Ryan T. Anderson, Ph.D. was completely removed from Amazon earlier in the year.

“No notification to me. I found out when someone trying to buy it noted it was gone,” Anderson tweeted at the time.

Another Twitter user noted that while Anderson’s book had been removed from the site, another book promoting transgenderism was available. Let Harry Become Sally: Responding to the Anti-Transgender Moment is the supposed rebuttal to Anderson’s book.

“Buy the other Harry/Sally book, and then read this one to understand the realities of the issue,” the product description reads.

Amazon also allowed author Phillip R. Greaves II to self-publish a book, The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct.

“I wrote the book to establish guidelines so that people would behave in a manner that is non-injurious to each other,” Greaves told ABC at the time.

The book was only pulled from Amazon after public outrage and the arrest of the author.

In response to criticism, Amazon attempts to defend its removal of certain conservative books as an effort to “protect” users against “hate speech.”

“We don’t sell certain content including content that we determine is hate speech, promotes the abuse or sexual exploitation of children, contains pornography, glorifies rape or pedophilia, advocates terrorism, or other material we deem inappropriate or offensive,” Amazon claimed in its book policy.

Meanwhile, the Media Research Center conducted a study earlier in the year and found hundreds of hateful products currently being sold on the site. Concerning items included terrorist flags, Nazi symbols, and anti-religious graphic T-shirts. In the study, the Media Research Center counted 270 hateful products being sold on Amazon.

U.S. Marshalls recovered record-high 387 missing children last year

Despite progress, "we're barely scratching the surface, agency's chief of sex crimes investigations told host Sharyl Attkisson on "Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson."

As more kids are spending time on the internet at home during the COVID-19 shutdowns, online sex trafficking has doubled.

"With that, there's been an uptick in reports of children sold for sex by their own parents and relatives," host Sharyl Attkisson reported Sunday on "Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson."

Chief Inspector Floriano Whitwell, who heads up sex offender investigations for the U.S. Marshals Service, defined child trafficking.

"Generally speaking within our law enforcement community, it's trading or selling a child to perform sexual acts for monetary gain or services," he said.

The number of reported missing children was 421,394 in 2019 and 365,348 in 2020, with most considered "endangered runaways."

The marshals "say a lot of those kids end up trafficked … not always by large, organized rings, but by people they know and trust," Attkisson said.

Asked if parents traffic, sell, or rent out their own children for sex, Whitwell said, "It absolutely exists." The youngest children they've recovered were age seven, he recalled.

"I personally was extremely concerned by the lack of spotlight, the lack of resources, and just simply the lack of children being recovered across our country, knowing now how big of an epidemic it was," Whitwell said. "And so I decided to make that my focus."

There has been a series of child rescue operations and related arrests by the U.S. Marshals Service recently, including in Georgia, Virginia, Oklahoma, Iowa, Ohio, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and the largest — Operation Volunteer Strong in Tennessee, which rescued 150 kids.

The Marshalls recovered a record-high 387 missing children last year and around 220 in just the first three months of this year alone, according to Whitwell. Yet even with the rising number of recoveries, "we're barely scratching the surface," he lamented.

Hamas Chooses Terror – Biden Chooses Hamas

Since May 10th literally thousands of rockets launched by the terrorist group Hamas from the Gaza Strip have rained down on Israel. Airports have been closed. Israeli families have huddled in bomb shelters for safety. The Times of Israel is now publishing guidance for mothers and fathers on how to comfort their terror-stricken children.

The Biden administration has responded by announcing that it intends to send another $10 million in aid to the Palestinians. That is on top of the tens of millions of dollars it has already sent this year.

While announcing this additional aid, the Biden administration also advised that it had not yet committed to restocking Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, which is critical to preventing wholesale slaughter in Israel by Hamas rockets. The White House has money for terrorists, but it might not agree to keep Israel supplied with the ammunition it needs to stay safe.

We heard a lot about America’s supposedly diminished standing in the world during the Trump administration. One wonders what our standing is now as we have decided to side with Hamas, a designated international terrorist organization against Israel.

The Gaza Strip is a narrow sliver of land wedged between Israel and Egypt. It is nominally under the control of the Palestinian Authority. In practice, it is ruled by Hamas. It is a terrorist state.

Hamas is explicitly dedicated to the destruction of the state of Israel. It does not seek reform. It does not seek the redress of grievances. It wants all Israelis dead, and Israel wiped from the map. In addition to the use of rockets, it has in the past engaged in suicide bombings and the indiscriminate slaughter of Israeli civilians.

The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) – the group’s founding document – was issued on August 18, 1988. It reads in part.

“The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine.”

“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”

“In the face of the Jews’ usurpation, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised.”

“Peace initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement…There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad.”

“The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: ‘O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.”

Hamas receives funding, weapons, and technical assistance from a number of sources. Chief amongst them is the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRG) involvement with Hamas is well documented. Multiple reports have noted that prior to his death IRGC Qods Force commander Qassem Soleimani was personally involved with this Iranian effort and met regularly with Palestinian leaders.

Israel has been for many decades our most reliable ally in the Middle East. It is a democratic nation. During the Trump Presidency, it concluded a number of historic peace agreements with Sunni Arab states. A radically transformative Israeli-Arab alliance began to emerge with the potential to transform one of the world’s most volatile regions into an area of peace and stability.

All of that is now threatened by the actions of an Iranian-sponsored terrorist group, which has chosen to put the civilian population of an entire nation under attack. Hamas could have chosen to follow suit with the many Arab governments that have chosen peaceful coexistence with Israel. Urged on by the ayatollahs in Tehran it chose another course. It chose terror.

And, Joe Biden, to his eternal shame, chose to stand with Hamas. Joe chose to stand with the terrorists.

Video Shows U.S. Capitol Police Gave Protesters OK to Enter

A newly-obtained video shows United States Capitol Police officers speaking with several January 6 protestors—including Jacob Chansley, the so-called “Q shaman”—inside the Capitol that afternoon.

One officer, identified in the video and confirmed by charging documents as Officer Keith Robishaw, appears to tell Chansely’s group they won’t stop them from entering the building. “We’re not against . . . you need to show us . . . no attacking, no assault, remain calm,” Robishaw warns. Chansley and another protestor instruct the crowd to act peacefully. “This has to be peaceful,” Chansley yelled. “We have the right to peacefully assemble.”

The video directly contradicts what government prosecutors allege in a complaint filed January 8 against Chansley: “Robishaw and other officers calmed the protestors somewhat and directed them to leave the area from the same way they had entered. Chansley approached Officer Robishaw and screamed, among other things, that this was their house, and that they were there to take the Capitol, and to get Congressional leaders.”

Chansley later is seen entering the Senate chambers with a police officer behind him; he led several protesters in prayer and sat in Vice President Mike Pence’s chair. (The man in the yellow sweatshirt is William Watson, a drug dealer out on bond. He was arrested in January.)

Chansley is not charged with assaulting an officer; he faces several counts for trespassing and disorderly conduct. He has been incarcerated since January, denied bail awaiting trial. He has no criminal record.
