Each of them have a peculiar theme. These aren't just "some good movies."

You could always just follow the clues and figure it out yourself. You don't need to join them to understand what they know.
It's quite important that you learn these things.
That knowledge folds out to a great deal of areas and finding it and connecting the points that match is a lot more beneficial than you might imagine at the start.
Again, the knowledge that it's both a man and a place goes a long way.
