Anons, a little housekeeping matter of the apparent series of 3 Getty photos tentatively "posted" on Christmas Day.

Things went fast this and last breads and our housekeeping got sloppy.

Since no one else has proposed working titles for these 3 Getty images, which I suspect are a series and taken AT SUNSET.

i think I had, up bread, referred to one of them, in this post >>13736745 when I nom'd that post for a Notable. But there were two pictures in that post. A third was sauced not long after.

Am proposing that for reference we identify them as LONDON25A, LONDON25B and LONDON25C.

LONDON25A:

https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/the-sun-sets-across-westminster-and-the-london-eye-on-christmas-day-picture-id459313293?s=2048x2048

LONDON25B:

https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/the-sun-sets-across-westminster-and-the-london-eye-on-christmas-day-picture-id459313291?s=2048x2048

LONDON25C:

https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/the-sun-sets-across-westminster-and-the-london-eye-on-christmas-day-picture-id459313295?s=2048x2048

I think these are SUNSET photos. The sky to the Southwest, in the pictures' right side is definitely lighter in the direction of the Southwest where we would expect sunser.

There are no people about. We would expect SOME people about and especially near LondonEye and the modest assemblage of Christmas Village stalls to be seen but there are none.

The lack of people present makes this anon suspect this series at sunset being taken on

Christmas Day. Imho.

I checked the weather for 21DEC2013 to narrow our WINTER WONDERLAND bookends.

There was rain. From about 7am to 5pm. Roughly 9-10 hours of rain. The WW event remained open however. But one would expect the venue would be noticeably wet by evening. So, am proposing that 21DEC2013 be removed from our possible dates for WW.

As this anon sees that time period for the Winter Wonderland event:

21DEC2013- REMOVE from list due to park being wet by evening. (9-10hrs of rain)

22DEC2013- Weather gud. STILL KEEP

23DEC2013- WW closed(storm) REMOVE

24DEC2013- Weather overall fair but interesting for isolated late morning sprinkles/showers at 10:50am, then snow/rain showers at 11:50am, said showers ending with partly sunny, then broken clouds, then passing clouds all evening. Am still calling this a KEEP for dry pics by evening at WW.

25DEC2013- Weather quite gud- KEEP

26DEC2013- Weather okay, passing clouds, so KEEP

27DEC2013- Partial clouds by day then mostly clear that evening. So KEEP

>Anon, on those days, how soon do you think the sky would got pitch dark like in the Wilde Maus coaster pic? 8pm or maybe earlier?

Much earlier. Like 4pm for "sunset". From then, work with 5pm for pitch black.

In TimeAndDate, "civil twilight" ends at approximately 4:35pm for the week in question. So, darkness even sooner. But at the very least 5pm.

Remember the VEGA star simulations up bread. Fits the time of evening. Early evening. Just sayin.

Outstanding, Anon. Good werk. Let me ask. I was guessing that the series was on Christmas Day because I think people would have been out on Christmas Eve. Not everyone wants to be at home that night. Am thinking college and cocktail crowds might still be out. So my guess is that series is on Christmas. What does anon think?

And to all anons. We have still not had that team huddle on the recent marker matches for ROT1, LISA and EMB in December 3023. Please speak up if you want to add to any discussion on the pics dig. Some are posting their ideas. Those ideas weren't posted here to be archived. They were posted for discussion.

How about the pic possibly submitted to the PHOTO24LONDON 2013 24-hour photo contest? We are calling it 24LONDON.

This one has noticeable differences from the LONDON25(A thru D).

1) It shows a timelapse for MOVING LondonEye.(poss. Christmas Eve?)Not likely in the evening of Christmas Day?

2) Clouds appear different than the LONDON25 (A-D) series.

3) Do you sense there is activity at the Christmas Village huts? Additional lights there?

4) Remember the Millbank lights in LONDON24 are a match for LISA, ROT2, LONDON2847, and LONDON25(A-D).

Thinking movement of LondonEye and lights in the Christmas village lean toward Christmas Eve? Or Boxing Day? If anons think BOTH days are matches, then which do you prefer and why? How long after Christmas Eve do anons think the Millbank light pattern could realistically persist?

On detail pics, and while phonefagging, I have gotten my share of images wrong during my time here. So lately I rely on anons with hi def screens to post close-ups or adjusted pics that are beyond my abilities to ID some things.

Never knew they had a luxury cinema on one of those top floors. Probly on the back side though because views of London are something they would want to market?

Regardless, it shows a regular, and possible weekend or holiday crowd at the building's upper floors. Good to know.
