AMERICA LAST: Biden Shuts Down Keystone Pipeline in US — But Waives Sanctions for Putin’s Pipeline to Germany

On his first day in office Joe Biden killed off an estimated 52,100 American jobs.

After his inaugural behind fences and 20,000 military troops, Biden hobbled to the Oval Officer where he signed several executive orders including the end of construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline and the end of construction of the Trump border wall.

Canceling the Keystone Pipeline costs over 11,000 construction jobs and 42,100 jobs throughout the US during the construction process according to the US State Department.

At the same time Joe Biden was promoting a pipeline project for the Taliban.

And now the Biden is waiving sanctions on Putin’s pipeline to Germany.

President Joe Biden will waive some American economic sanctions on Russia in order to streamline construction on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Germany, according to Axios.

Citing “two sources briefed on the decision,” Axios reporter Jonathan Swan reports the State Department will include the Nord Stream 2 pipeline Russian company and CEO on its list of Russians who deserve sanctions, but the Biden administration will waive them, citing American interests.

The Biden administration plans to scrap the sanctions on the Russian company responsible for the pipeline, despite initial signals that they would not.

During his Senate confirmation hearing, Secretary of State Antony Blinken told senators he is “determined to do whatever we can to prevent that completion” of the pipeline.

The national defense bill signed by Trump in 2019 included legislation to level sanctions on companies laying pipe for the project.

'No Longer Purely Civil': New York AG Office Reveals Trump Organization Under Criminal Investigation

Earlier, Manhattan district attorney launched an investigation into Trump Organization, examining potential financial fraud and tax fraud - allegations that Trump denied, slamming the investigation as political "witch hunt".

New York Attorney General's office informed Trump Organization on Tuesday that the investigation into it is no longer "purely civil", but criminal.

"We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature. We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA," James' spokesman Fabien Levy said in a statement cited by CNN.

Office of NY AG Letitia James will be working with Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance's Office, with the latter launching an investigation into Trump's company earlier, looking into "possibly extensive and protracted criminal conduct", including tax and insurance fraud and alleged falsification of business records.

During past two years, the office of Letitia James has been looking into whether or not Trump's company improperly inflated the value of its assets on financial records. The civil investigation was launched in March 2019, with James' office also looking into documents on several Trump Organization properties in Manhattan, upstate New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

The former president has slammed the investigation as "politically motivated harassment".

In its turn, the Manhattan District Attorney investigation was triggered when Trump's former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen made hush payments before the 2016 election to two women claiming Trump had affairs with them.

Former president Trump has denied any wrongdoing, dismissing the investigation as political "witch hunt". Addressing the 2016 payments, he insisted that they were legal and did not come from the campaign but from him personally.

Organ Donation Worker Exposes China’s Money-Driven Transplant Industry

In China, state-run media have been promoting a job called “organ donation coordinators,” trumpeting how people in this line of work are making a difference in society. Their role is to convince families of dying patients to agree to donate their loved one’s organs—needed to supply China’s booming transplant industry. The families that agree, in return, are paid for their consent.

Due to deeply-rooted cultural beliefs that hold that the human body must be kept intact even after death, Chinese people are generally reluctant to donate their organs. The creation of this role appears to be an attempt to lessen such a barrier to the country’s organ donation program.

But the job is less noble than it is depicted by the Chinese regime, according to an account by Liang Xin (a pseudonym), a former organ donation coordinator from northeast China. The work was more akin to being a salesperson, Liang told The Epoch Times, and much of it involves using money to manipulate the poor into agreeing to donate their dying relatives’ organs.

The coordinators’ methods are unethical and violate internationally recognized principles on transplantation that forbid the payment of money for an organ donor’s consent, according to an organ transplant expert.

Liang’s revelations further shine a light on abuses in China’s organ transplant system—which already attracts heavy scrutiny over the communist regime’s practice of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience. The former coordinator said he decided to speak out about his job in the hopes that more people will know the truth behind it.

Targeting the Poor

Organ donation coordinators mainly targeted poor families, in particular those of rural migrant workers, Liang said. These people often did not have enough money to pay for the expensive medical bills, and were therefore more susceptible to the coordinators’ monetary offers.

Liang recounted one case involving a very poor family. Their dying family member could still have been saved with proper medical treatment. But the family decided not to proceed with this. Instead, they chose to starve him—and cash out.

“After the person was deprived of food for a week, he was in the right condition for organ donation,” Liang said.

This case, according to Liang, was among many where patients were declared brain dead—a precondition to organ extraction—but did not strictly meet the criteria for it.

Liang and his colleagues were good salespeople. To the relatives, they sold organ donation as an act of “all-encompassing love” and “devotion to a greater cause.” But in reality, the coordinators thought of the donor’s organs as nothing more than “merchandise,” he said.
