So…had an altercation with my dad last month (he assaulted me), and despite calling the Police myself, because his wife called on me first for being at the property (where I lived), soon as the police arrived I was placed in cuffs.

Now, the officer who cuffed me called me an "asshole", also threatened to "break it from around your neck" regarding my crucifix necklace, and yet, I'm being charged for calling him a faggot (he was a weak, mincing little man on a power trip).

While in custody, I was denied the basic human rite to water for several hours for not asking "nicely enough", as I overheard another detainee denied the same before being called a "dickhead" by the officer who denied him.

I was pretty drunk from the night before when they arrested me but when I've sobered up in custody, I've started quoting the exact word of the B.H.R. laws to them and saying I'll be pursuing it once I'm free. They started treating me VERY differently from them on.

Likewise, they denied me access to my assigned solicitor all day, lied about them being "in the building", then proceeding to leave me out in the rain in the yard for an hour until, coincidentally, my solicitor closed business hours for the day and I had to wait past midnight to be assigned a duty solicitor who didn't even pass my details on to my assigned agency (my custody record proves my assigned solicitor was never in the building but was calling repeatedly asking to speak to me).

Was also handed a torn Bible when finally given one at the end of the day (they never noted this or that I needed to "ask nicely" for my human rites on my custody record)

Since then, despite the officers alleged to be upholding the law breaking said laws, I went with the only recourse I couldtheir laughable "complaints procedure"and was further told they "just aren't going to give it to you" regarding the bodycam footage of my arrest so I could establish my complaints (this breaking data protection laws itself).

Similarly, said complaints handlers had to ask me, a detainee, where there was a law stating we are entitled to water (I'm not kidding; they were that stupid), and once I quoted his officer calling a detainee "dickhead", he hung up the phone because I used "abusive language"–peak irony there.

I've filed a S.A.R. to get access to the B.W.V., C.C.T.V., phone calls, radio traffic etc., though they told me I can't ask for the entirety of my detainment footage.

Don't even think there's a question to ask here, just wanting some advice/discourse on how to continue dealing with and exposing such corruption within the alleged arbiters of authority.

I know most police have low I.Q. and poor aptitude scores–hired because they can't process if orders are illegal and just act like good henchmen, but this is fucking ridiculous.

What do, anon? Not backing down.

There is no "pressing charges"; the Police only have a "complaints procedure" if they break the laws theyre supposed to be upholding.

And then their C.P. guys broke data protection laws anyway by denying me bodycam footage of myself.

Used to defend the Police, simply for the workload, now I'm just kekking my ass off for being so naive.
