So…had an altercation with my dad last month (he assaulted me), and despite calling the Police myself, because his wife called on me first for being at the property (where I lived), soon as the police arrived I was placed in cuffs.
Now, the officer who cuffed me called me an "asshole", also threatened to "break it from around your neck" regarding my crucifix necklace, and yet, I'm being charged for calling him a faggot (he was a weak, mincing little man on a power trip).
While in custody, I was denied the basic human rite to water for several hours for not asking "nicely enough", as I overheard another detainee denied the same before being called a "dickhead" by the officer who denied him.
I was pretty drunk from the night before when they arrested me but when I've sobered up in custody, I've started quoting the exact word of the B.H.R. laws to them and saying I'll be pursuing it once I'm free. They started treating me VERY differently from them on.
Likewise, they denied me access to my assigned solicitor all day, lied about them being "in the building", then proceeding to leave me out in the rain in the yard for an hour until, coincidentally, my solicitor closed business hours for the day and I had to wait past midnight to be assigned a duty solicitor who didn't even pass my details on to my assigned agency (my custody record proves my assigned solicitor was never in the building but was calling repeatedly asking to speak to me).
Was also handed a torn Bible when finally given one at the end of the day (they never noted this or that I needed to "ask nicely" for my human rites on my custody record)
