A better place to start would be the Gospels. Understand that we are all sinners first, and under the wrath of God. Then Jesus becomes our very necessary friend.
Revelation comes later. Satan is an expert at muddying the waters. It's a lot like what we see in Maricopa. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
