Jim Jordan Slams Democrats And Unloads Questions At Dr. Fauci Over COVID-19 Origins

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is demanding answers to origins of COVID-19 as the theory of the Wuhan lab leak gains more attention.

“Where did this thing start? Did it jump from animal to humans or was it a leak from a lab, a lab in Wuhan china? American people probably like to know, after all, they’ve had their liberties assaulted for the past year” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, questioned during a House hearing Wednesday.

Congressman Jordan cited Nicholas Wafe who is a former New York Times science writer who looked at how the pandemic could break out.

“It’s a stretch to get the pandemic to break out naturally outside of Wuhan and then without leaving a trace to make its first appearance in Wuhan. But he says this for the lab escape scenario, a Wuhan origin for the virus is a no-brainer,” Rep. Jordan quoted.

“Wuhan is home to China’s leading center for coronavirus research. Researchers were genetically engineering bat coronaviruses to attack human cells. They were doing so under minimal safety conditions. If the virus with an uninspected infectiousness had been generated there, its escape would be no surprise,” Rep. Jordan continued.

“Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee say there is “significant circumstantial evidence” that the COVID-19 outbreak stemmed from a leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, urging the federal government to put “more pressure on China” to allow for a “full, credible investigation” into the source of the global pandemic,” Fox News reported Wednesday.

“Republicans pointed to China’s “history of research lab leaks resulting in infections,” and warnings from U.S. diplomats in China as early as 2017 that the Wuhan lab was conducting “dangerous research” on coronaviruses without following “necessary safety protocols, risking the accidental outbreak of a pandemic,” the outlet also reported.

“Republicans also pointed to public reports that “several researchers in the Wuhan lab were sickened with COVID-19-like symptoms” in Fall 2019, and the Chinese military’s “involvement in the Wuhan Lab,” the outlet continued.

Earlier this year, the World Health Organization conducted an investigation, “WHO-convened global study of origins of SARS-CoV-2”

This month Sen. Rand Paul and Fauci were clashing about the funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology and Fauci denied that the NIH did not ever or does not fund gain-of-function research.

“The WHO scientists said in an exit briefing it is “most likely” that the coronavirus was initially transmitted via a jump from an animal to human (perhaps starting with a bat, associated with the Wuhan seafood market),” Fox News reported early February.

The WHO team of investigators also discovered frozen wild animals being sold in the Wuhan market that came from regions where bats and hosts are known to carry a virus similar to novel coronavirus, according to the outlet.

Joe Biden Announces Israeli Ceasefire; Promises to Replenish Iron Dome

President Joe Biden announced Thursday that Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, had agreed to a ceasefire in their military campaign against Hamas.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu informed me that Israel has agreed to a mutual unconditional ceasefire to begin in less than two hours,” Biden said during an announcement at the White House.

The president said his administration had worked on “intensive high-level discussions” to bring about peace in the region and thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for negotiating a Hamas ceasefire.

He said he spoke with Netanyahu six times in the last eleven days of violence and supported Israel’s right to defend itself from “indiscriminate” Hamas rocket attacks.

Biden has faced growing pressure from Democrats and the left to publicly criticize Israel for their military campaign against Hamas in response to the attacks.

But the president said he would continue supporting Israel, a key ally in the Middle East.

“I assured him my full support to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome system to ensure its defenses and security in the future,” he said.

Biden said the United States would also work to provide international humanitarian assistance to Palestinians, promising he would work to prevent Hamas from rebuilding their military arsenal.

Biden also signaled hope for peaceful negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis in the future.

“I believe the Palestinians and Israelis equally deserve to live safely and securely and to enjoy equal measures of freedom, prosperity, and democracy,” Biden said, promising to continue “quiet relentless diplomacy” to reach peace.

“I believe we have a genuine opportunity to make progress and I’m committed to work for it,” he said.

The Media’s COVID Origin Coverup Campaign Has Begun

David Frum is the first prominent journalist to fictionalize the debate over the origins of COVID, but he won’t be the last.

The Atlantic’s David Frum appears to be first out of the gate in what will likely become a coordinated, aggressive media campaign to defend the people and institutions that got the COVID-19 origin story wrong — and absolve them of all responsibility, however complicit they might be — and instead blame it all on Trump and his supporters.

It sounds stupid, I know, but it’s true. Frum thinks Trump and his tens of millions of supporters “are not interested in weighing the evidence” of the virus’s origins, and only want “payback for the political and cultural injuries inflicted on them by the scientists.” The whole thing, for them, is just “a weapon in a culture war here at home.”

Leaving aside the deep irony that Frum, of all people, is accusing anyone of not being interested in weighing the evidence, we need to understand this opening salvo for the retcon job it is. Frum is preemptively exonerating the gatekeepers and experts who resisted, and in some cases actively opposed, any discussion or serious inquiry into the possibility that COVID -19 didn’t emerge naturally but escaped from a lab in Wuhan.

If Trump and his supporters turn out to be right, then they’re right for the wrong reasons, says Frum. As Bret Weinstein noted, this is an attempt to “fictionalize the history” of the debate about COVID’s origins and “immunize” the corrupt people and institutions that were on the wrong side of that debate. (Frum, you have to admit, is the perfect person to lead the charge on this.)

The COVID Origin Debate Isn’t Going Away

The need for such a campaign has become apparent in recent days because the question of COVID’s origins isn’t going away. There are two main theories: either the virus naturally jumped from animal to humans, or it was being studied — and perhaps manipulated or enhanced — in a lab and accidentally escaped.

A much-criticized report issued in March by a World Health Organization-led team dismissed the idea that the virus could have escaped from a lab, calling it “extremely unlikely” despite the team having no access to relevant records or data in China. It concluded animal origin was the more likely of the two possibilities. The WHO-led team, which included scientists from China, devoted just four of 313 pages in its report to the possibility that the virus came from a lab.

CCP Advisor Declares Trade and Biological Warfare Victory, Claims America Has Been ‘Beaten Back’.

A Chinese Communist Party adviser and professor has asserted that the regime “won” the “biological warfare” battle against the U.S. in an unearthed video while bragging about how the U.S. has been “beaten back to its original shape.”

The stunning video admission comes just days after more news outlets in the Western world back-peddled on their initial, unfounded claims that the COVID-19 virus developed naturally.

Ping Chen, a Professor of Economics at Peking University, and Senior Research Fellow at Fudan University, commented that “in 2020, China won the trade war, science & technology war, and especially the biological war.”

His resume also reveals he “served as an expert advisor to China’s Ministry of Labor and Social Security, China Development Bank, Shanghai City government, and Fengyang County in Anhui Province.”

“The achievement is unprecedented. This is an epoch-making historical record. So for the liberal, America-worshiping cult within China, their worship of the US is actually unfounded. After this trade war and biological warfare, the US was beaten back to its original shape,” he added in an unearthed video later translated into English.

“So I think Trump’s attempt to restore the declining international status of the US during his 4 years has failed,” the Chinese Communist Party adviser also noted.

“This failure is not only the failure of Trump’s personal campaign for re-election as president, but also the failure of the neo-liberalism-led globalization of the past four decades led by the US and the UK. Therefore, the development & modernization model of the US and Europe is not worthy of China’s imitation and repetition,” the research fellow at Columbia University’s Center of Capitalism and Society revealed.

The remarks follow continued reporting – and even acknowledgments from mainstream media outlets – on how COVID-19 likely came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

‘I could hear their screams’: Inside Gaza’s Al-Wehda Street massacre

“My building was bombed and my neighbours have been killed! And I can hear screams from under the rubble!” These were the first words I heard from a friend as she hid in her basement from Israeli airstrikes this weekend.

At roughly 1:30am on May 16, Israeli forces bombarded one of the best-kept neighbourhoods in Gaza without warning, killing at least 30 people and forever shattering the lives of its residents. The primary street hit that night, Al-Wehda Street, lies at the heart of the Al-Rimal area in Gaza City and was once one of the few thriving thoroughfares in the besieged coastal enclave. However, all that changed in the blink of an eye.

Ruba Shabit, a fellow journalist working for Press TV, lives there and only by chance survived this Sunday’s massacre. For hours, I hovered over the phone, praying that no more bombs would land on her building, after receiving a brief phone call from her telling me about the carnage she had witnessed. At the other end of the phone, I had no idea what she must have been feeling, so interviewed her soon after the massacre to try to comprehend what she had just lived through.

“My street used to be the most beautiful street in the Gaza Strip. It’s the main road to Al-Shifa Hospital, and has schools, banks, institutes and markets as well. It really has a unique atmosphere” Ruba said. “Now everything is totally destroyed and I don’t know how I will ever go back to normal after all of this.”

I asked her how the attack started and what she remembered of it.

“I live in the Al-Nakheel building,” she said. “When the attack first started, three missiles struck my neighbour’s house and then two hit the next one. Three missiles were then fired into the middle of the street and the entrance of my building – all of this without any prior warning from Israel. When me and my family first heard the explosions, we were trying to sleep. We thought the missile had hit the apartment above us, and heard the smashing of glass. But we then realised it was below us”.

She described the terrifying scenes around her and how her family had fled.

“We started running spontaneously. We collected some clothes quickly and were all in a rush, shouting. This was really a scene I will never forget. We started running down the stairs – we didn’t take the elevator because it was too dangerous. We shouted on every floor, calling people to get to safety, but, of course, they’d heard it all too and were also screaming and crazy.”

California County Requires Businesses to Submit Covid-19 Vaccination Status of All Employees

Businesses in Santa Clara County, California are required to submit vaccination status of all employees.

According to the county’s public health order, “All businesses and government entities must ascertain the vaccination status of personnel and must comply with the rules for personnel who are not fully vaccinated, as required under section 9(c) and 9(d) of the County Health Officer’s May 18, 2021 Order.”

Under the health order, the employee can decline to provide their vaccination status to their employer.

If the employee declines to offer the information, the employer “should assume the employee may be unvaccinated and follow State and local requirements for unvaccinated employees.”

In other words, if an employee refuses to get the vaccine or declines to disclose this private information to their employer, they will be treated like a second class citizen and will be forced to wear a face mask.

The employers are not required to provide the vaccine information to the County, but they are required to collect it and “have it available to demonstrate their compliance with this requirement” (struggle session).

The health order argues that HIPPA does not apply when an employer asks an employee for their vaccination status.

“No. HIPAA applies to certain entities, such as healthcare providers and health plans, and what protected health information they can share about their patients or members under what circumstances. HIPAA does not govern what information employers may request from their employees.” – the health order read.

It gets worse…

Employees are told to document and snitch on fellow co-workers if they won’t tell fellow colleagues whether they are vaccinated – then treat them like dirty virus bags and stay away from them.

“You must document that the worker declined to disclose his or her vaccination status, assume that they are not fully vaccinated, and follow all the rules that apply to workers who are not fully vaccinated.” the order said. The deadline for determining the vaccination status of workers is June 1, 2021, however employers are instructed to harass employees who have declined to disclose their vaccination status every 14 days.

The employers must ask employees every 14 days what their vaccination status is so they can update their records.
