The reed poles in front of Inanna’s temple (or inside it) remind me of 2 different things:

1 – The Kuphar boats made of reed (starting page 15) which can be found on the banks on the Euphrates River.

2 – The Staff weapon. We already know that a type of Staff weapon is used by the ThunderBirds and it shoots out electricity. We also know that the Wolf and the Antelope Sebetti warriors use some type of staff as seen on the upper register of the bronze Plaque of the Hells – weapon number 5 (page 965). But we don’t know what it shoots; if it’s electricity like the Sharur or if it’s fire or anything else.

The way these reed poles are depicted in Inanna’s temple, with a knot or a circle on top makes it tricky to guess what it really is. I don’t think that knot is related to the Shenu rings but we do have loads of imagery we can compare with in this thread: Nekhbet staff page 898 – seraphim staff page 903 –cylinder seal imprint second picture page 966 – cylinder seal imprint page 967 – Hathor lotus staff second picture page 985 – Was staff page 992 etc. These are just a few examples and I’m sure we can find more if we look at older pages.

Till now, it’s unclear what these staffs specifically mean. It can be anything, from the weapon I just mentioned, to a flag pole, to simple decoration. This needs further digging.

“Inanna/Ishtar was associated with lions, which the ancient Mesopotamians regarded as a symbol of power. Her associations with lions began during Sumerian times; a chlorite bowl from the temple of Inanna at Nippur depicts a large feline battling a giant snake and a cuneiform inscription on the bowl reads "Inanna and the Serpent", indicating that the cat is supposed to represent the goddess. During the Akkadian Period, Ishtar was frequently depicted as a heavily armed warrior goddess with a lion as one of her attributes.”

>> As I already told anons before, I don’t agree with this interpretation about the Lion being a symbol of Inanna/Ishtar or the Feline being associated with her. I think the Akkadian misunderstood the meaning of her standing or sitting on a throne on top of a Lion. It has the same meaning as the Horse Lamashtu is kneeling upon in the lower register of the Bronze Plaque from Hell = the animals in both cases represent specific geographic locations as in countries = kingdoms. In other words, the Lion, which Inanna stands upon (or sits with the throne) in early stages of this iconography , is a symbolic representation of the kingdom she comes from = her place of birth = her origin – where she lived.

The inscription on the bowl – I hope I got the correct picture of the bowl – says: Inanna and the snake. It doesn’t say Inanna “fighting” the snake. Here it can be interpreted in 3 ways:

A – The Main Stream History interpretation is that Inanna in her Feline form is fighting a Serpent. Well, I guess this logical if we combine the inscription with the design on the bowl.

B – We can play around a bit with the words and say that Inanna and the Serpent are ONE and the SAME; or they are together = same side, same team. See, the inscription didn’t say Inanna “fighting” the Serpent. It can make it sound like Inanna is WITH the Serpent, siding with it, not represented alongside it on the bowl.

C – The Lion could indicate the place of origin = where they came from; while the Serpent represents the coup plotters. The Lion could represent the rightful heir of the throne fitting the coup plotters.

I think it’s option B & C combined. Why? Well, take a look the details from the Kuphar boat Lamashtu is riding on the bronze plaque of the Hells. See, the decoration of the boat? = it’s got the head of a Serpent on the front and the head of an Antelope on the rear. We know that these 2 heraldic animals are the symbols of the Evil Couple. Joined together they merged to become the Horned Serpent. It makes no sense to have a lion as Inanna’s heraldic symbol while she wears a triple horned crown on her head and her vassal Ninshubur has Antelope horns on the imprint of the famous Inanna cylinder seal.

I think the Lion represents the land = kingdom she comes from. I don’t know if it’s Atlantis or if it’s one of the small kingdoms which existed in the Taurus mountain range after the flood. The Lion = Feline is one of the options as the heraldic animal of the King of kings.

The notion of Lion being the king of the jungle or the king of all animals is very old. I always wondered why the lion was picked from all the fierce animals for the “king” role; why not the wolf or the bear, if you think about it, they are just as fierce as the lion. And through out history, most of the kings had the lion as their heraldic symbol, mostly the western countries. Lions = Felines have been associated with kingship and ruling for an extremely long time.

Also it makes no sense to see Feline warriors like Bes, Bastet and Sekhmet fight tooth and nail the Horned Serpents and the multi-morphs, protecting babies and children from them.

The Lion = Feline is one of the possible heraldic animal of the King of kings of Atlantis and because of that, it might have also been the heraldic animal of Atlantis. We can say there is a possibility the Lion represents the throne and the kingdom in the same time. Since the Evil Lady and the Evil One plotted to take the throne, they might consider themselves as the “legitimate” rulers of Atlantis (in their twisted mind), therefore, the Lion became their heraldic animal, since it’s the symbol of the King of kings. And in the same time, it also represents the Land where Inanna came from. We know it’s not exclusively her symbol and we’ve seen Feline being associated to deities or rulers = kings in other cultures worldwide. It’s faint, but there is definitely a connection between the Lion heraldic animal and the King of kings. I need to gather more evidence anons. This is thin, it’s not enough. I still don’t know for sure what the heraldic animal of the King of kings is.

We mustn’t forget that the Evil Lady was a Sebetti queen which makes her royalty as well, but more like a minor or secondary royalty compared to the King of kings. This is another reason why Inanna is associated to power, justice, ruling and kingship.
