>> So the Evil Lady and the Evil One excelled in giving Divine Justice = I’ve already talked what is Divine Justice, it’s not normal justice (page 1 228).
When you read the section of the Ebhi mountain with Inanna, you get the impression that Ebhi is not a THING = a mountain, but a person. And it’s more than obvious we are reading this story from the perspective of the Evil Clan. You can clearly see the jealousy, spite and envy of the Evil Lady, dripping out of her as she is talking about Ebhi. Whomever this Ebhi is, we know that he is tall, good looking, wears magnificent clothing (maybe a shiny armor) but this “garment” is actually HOLY = sacred = divine. And only a HOLY person can wear HOLY clothing; as in only a person with high Spiritual power can wear Holy clothes. In other words, they are talking here about another Sebetti ruler; a specific ruler whom the Evil Lady was jealous from, envied and loathed. She becomes “infuriated by his glorious might and natural beauty” = this is pure jealousy here anons, pure jealousy and envy.
The last 2 lines of this poem project Inanna’s inferiority complex towards this person. Whomever Ehbi is, he (it’s a he because the remaining Sebetti rulers are all male) didn’t bring his nose to the ground nor did his lips were pressed on the dust: this has a meaning = Ebhi didn’t bow. He was of such a high rank that he didn’t have to bow, even to the other Sebetti rulers. There are 3 people on a higher level among the Sebetti rulers:
1 – The highest is the King of kings whom everyone bowed to. I do mean everyone.
2 – The second highest is the Queen of queen whom was none other than the spouse of the great King. She was very loved by her husband.
3 – The third highest ranking royalty would be the Crown Prince; the heir to the throne, which one day would take the place of his Father and become in turn the King of kings.
She railed at Ebhi = shouted in his face, probably cursed him too. She also considers the “existence” of Ebhi as a threat = an affront to her own authority as a Sebetti ruler. This speaks volumes. Remember how the Evil Lady felt like the King of kings = her Father didn’t give her a high enough position or power? It’s because she felt inferior to someone; she also felt like she deserves more, a higher position, more authority, bigger kingdom, a more prosperous one. What could be higher than a normal Sebetti ruler’s position but lower than the position of the Royal Couple? = the Crown Prince = the next in line.
And if we read this sentence carefully, it gives the impression that the “heir” = Crown Prince didn’t exist at first, but was born much later, when Inanna grew older, maybe when she was a teen. Since she was earlier born and older, she thought she deserved to be given more power and to be given the position of Crown Princess = heirress to the throne. But why wasn’t this position given to her? Or to the other Sebetti rulers, if you think about it? Why did the Royal Couple wait for the birth of this specific child, which seemed to be the youngest among the Sebetti rulers, to name him as the Crown Prince?
From the looks of it, the other Sebetti rulers didn’t feel threatened by the birth of this royal child. Apart the Evil duo, the other Sebetti rulers didn’t feel this way towards the newborn Royal Child. The birth of this Child made the Evil Duo realize that the succession to the throne = the throne itself, was now out of their reach for good.
