(Please read from the start)
Gryffindor symbol is that of a Lion = Feline, but in the name, we clearly hear the Griffin part. I have been saying for some time that the Griffin is the Royal guards in other words the warriors of the King of kings. But I’m unsure if this is a combined = merged heraldic symbol of 2 clans = Eagle and Lion…or if it’s a squadron from one and another squadron from the second working as a team. In both cases, these represent royalty. According to Rowling, Gryffindors are known for their bravery, daring, nerve, and chivalry = very befitting for the ThunderBirds and Feline warriors alike.
We also have Buckbeak the hippogriff, in the series, which is a derivative from the griffin. The animal is very friendly with Harry. Which doesn’t surprise me one bit, mostly if I combine it to the Gryffindor name, Lion heraldic symbol of the house and the lightning on Harry’s forehead = all of these elements are pointing that Harry is fighting for the GOOD side = he is a Light warrior. It fits perfectly, doesn’t it?
The only oddity is the color RED of the Gryffindor house which we know was the color of the Evil One’s armor but strangely, it’s used for the Gryffindors. I believe this is a mix done on purpose. This color is used a lot by royalty through history; not just any royalty, but the Bloodlines whom were rulers. Some anons are going to say purple is another color used by the Bloodlines to signal (((their))) royal lineage. I would like to ask anons to hold it for now with the color purple. I think (((they))) hijacked the color. I will explain this when I reach it.
On the other side of the aisles we have the Slytherin symbol: the Serpent, reminding us of the Sebetti Serpent and the Horned Serpents. They are known to value: ambition, leadership, self-preservation, cunning and resourcefulness – perfectly fitting with the image projected to us by many Horned Serpent warriors we’ve seen in this thread, worldwide.
It fits perfectly with the Horned Serpent image as being deceitful, cunning, illusionists, resorting to tricks like what we saw with Oz movie, and also to spying like we’ve seen with Nergal; as well as being wicked and causing massacres and famines etc. but mostly, with their thirst for power and to do whatever it takes to have the ultimate power and become kings = rulers.
There is also a giant serpent called the Basilisk in the movie series which had poisonous fangs = reminding me of the poisonous ability I’ve been suspecting the Horned Serpent warriors had; mentioned in the Native American stories and we also know Medusa from Greek mythology has the ability of petrification, just like the Basilisk from Harry Potter.
I do not know why the color green was picked for Slytherin. But I would like to point out that in both House “badges”/“crests” (in fact it’s on all 4 of them) we have the helmet of an armor represented on top. Which, for me, indicates that these are knights = fighters = warriors. I haven’t looked into the Raven or the Badger symbolism, I’m sure it has a meaning and it’s not random. I’m going to skip it and leave it for the curious researcher.
Just a quick mention that there is a Phoenix = bird of fire, in the story and it’s a good bird that helps Harry and heals him when he is injured. Here, the Phoenix represents good. And please, go check etymology of Phoenix before mixing it to Phoenicians, just because the words sound the same. Don’t go thinking I did that with Gryffindor and Buckbeak, the link there is obvious to the naked eye. I will be talking about the Phoenix when I reach it.
