as for the vatican hating the free masons… that is a non arguable point because the vatican is not a single static entity…
Many catholics have been against free masonry and even exposed it over the years. Pope Leo the 13th, my personal favorite pope spoke about the smoke of satan entering the church. But clearly if the smoke of satan has entered the church, and that smoke is free masonry… the vatican is not entirely against it.
