Will date myself, here, but someone asked me about the Cuban Missile Crisis a few weeks ago.

Looking back, the news reporting then was more solution based. I would say the information presentation was still WWii based, in that it presented a situation on the ground along with possible counter measures. Science/Tech was a thing, geeks were heroes, and people expected and got technical solutions to difficult problems.

In school, you had men teachers who had just fought a war and weren't about to take shit from some punk kid.T he instruction, too, was more problem recognition / informed response based.

If you listen to Juan O Savin, he presents the change over to the current trauma, or fear based, reporting as having occurred after the JFK assassination. He considers the JFK assassination as a type trauma event meant to, in my interpretation, MK Ultra like, dissociate the psyche from a talented individuals, results-based, critical thinking approach to solving problems to one of fear and powerlessness that manipulated people into relying on a impersonal powerful government to solve those problems.

The JFK assassination, having never been resolved to a sufficient sanctification, IMO anyway, along with the complete and obvious subterfuge of the MSM during the Vietnam War reporting broke the can do spirit of cogent Americans, because that dynamic was no longer accepted as a virtue by TPTB, who needed mindless clones. Dumb fucks, like those pouring into the country through open borders and unregulated immigration.

I'll add here, as well, why Savin hesitates when asked if JFK jr. is alive. His reply is that we're all JFK jr. What happened and where did justice go?

Hobbes vs Rousseau conundrum.

Hobbes = evil = dictatorial government is necessary.

Rousseau = good = a participatory government is required.

Qualifier, then, as I see it, is that it is society and the government that forms it that determines inherent individual good or evil.

Q advocates for a participatory government, one where individual input is necessary.
