Iran Kicks Off Large-Scale Electronic Warfare And Air Defense Exercise
On May 25th, the Iranian Army kicked off a large-scale military drill to practice electronic warfare tactics, this drill on electronic warfare is dubbed ‘Separ-e-Aseman 1400’ (Sky Shield 1400).
According to a statement, this joint drill is being held by the strategic electronic warfare forces of the four forces of the Army and covers large areas of Iran. Rapid response and electronic warfare units of the Army’s Ground Force, Air Force, Navy and Air Defense are participating in the joint aerial maneuvers, codenamed Sky Shield 1400, whose headquarters will be located in Iran’s central province of Isfahan.
According to Deputy Chief of Iran’s Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, the drill is the most practical exercise in the field of military electronic warfare in recent years. He said the Iranian Army is going to use its latest achievements and combat capabilities during the drill, with offensive as well as defensive electronic warfare tactics to be put into practice.
Sayyari also pointed out the high significance of electronic warfare in both operational and intelligence aspects of present-day military encounters, stressing that the Iranian Army has developed the necessary infrastructure for defense and electronic warfare. Sayyari said aerial interception and cyber defense operations will also be conducted in the drill.
Participants in the drill practice using electronic defense tactics against small aircraft and intruding drones as well as, perform cyber defense maneuvers and evaluate function by eavesdropping, electronic jamming and target detection systems. During the drill, drones and smart micro aerial vehicles (MAVs) will also strike predetermined targets using electronic warfare cover, he said.
Accuracy and speed in detection of aircraft will be analyzed, and electronic eavesdropping and jamming systems monitored.
According to Iranian state media, in recent years, Iranian military experts and technicians have made great progress in indigenously developing and manufacturing a broad range of equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in this regard.
Iran’s Air Defense holds annual war games in order to enhance capabilities to defend the country’s airspace.

Samoa’s Opposition Leader Sworn in as Prime Minister in Tent After Gov Locks Her Out of Parliament
The Pacific Island nation of Samoa was plunged into a political crisis on Monday as Fiame Naomi Mata'afa, leader of the opposition party FAST, was sworn in as prime minister in a tent on the statehouse lawn after Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, who has been prime minister since 1998, ordered the doors of parliament locked.
Mata'afa’s prime ministership began on an unexpected note on Monday, taking place inside a tent pitched in the capital city of Apia instead of the dome-shaped Fale Fono, Samoa’s Parliament House.
Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Saluavi II, Samoa’s head of state and a supporter of Tuilaepa, decreed on Saturday evening that he was suspending Parliament "until such time as to be announced and for reasons that I will make known in due course.” However, the following morning, an extraordinary session of the Samoan Supreme Court struck down the ruling, enabling Mata'afa’s swearing-in to proceed.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement on Monday urging “the leaders in Samoa to find solutions to the current political situation through dialogue in the best interest of the people and institutions of Samoa. The United Nations stands ready to provide support to Samoa if requested by the parties.”
The court’s ruling was the just the latest blow against the rule of Tuilaepa’s Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP), which has led the nation of 200,000 for more than 40 years. After April 9 elections split Parliament down the middle with 25 seats to both parties, when the lone independent lawmaker decided to side with FAST, it gave the party the narrowest of majorities, allowing it to form a government. HRPP cried foul and appealed for another seat to be appointed to the legislature; Saluavi obliged them, but the court struck the maneuver down.
Mata'afa described the locking of the parliament doors as a "bloodless coup.” Tuiliepa, in turn, called the swearing-in ceremony a “joke,” noting that “only the head of state, and no one else, can call parliament meetings and swear people in. None of what they did is legitimate.”
"This is treason, and the highest form of illegal conduct,” he added. “None of what they did is legitimate. The Devil has won and taken over them.”
Mata'afa is the daughter of Fiame Mataʻafa Faumuina Mulinuʻu II, the country’s first prime minister after winning independence from a joint UK-New Zealand administration. Her One True God Party (FAST) split from HRPP last summer amid growing criticisms of Tuilaepa’s rule, which began in 1998.
FAST’s rapid growth was fueled by a collapsing economy as COVID-19 travel restrictions severely impeded the country’s tourism and raw material export industries, which required the government to accept a $20 million loan from the Asian Development Bank in July of last year. They have also promised to repeal a set of unpopular laws passed in December giving significant powers over land ownership and legal proceedings to traditional courts that aren’t accountable to the Supreme Court. They also promised to scrap a proposed $100 million port expansion in Vaiusu Bay that would be heavily financed by China.

TONNE of cocaine worth £80 million washes up on Sussex coast after locals spot baggies tied to life jackets
A TONNE of cocaine worth £80 million has washed up on British shores in one of the biggest drug hauls in history.
The Class A gear has been bobbing to the surface and landing on Sussex beaches since Monday, with locals spotting waterproof baggies tied to life jackets to make them float.
The drugs, thought to have originated in South America, have been recovered near Hastings and Newhaven.
National Crime Agency investigators - Britain’s FBI - said the find will be a “significant hit” to the gangs behind it.
A passerby discovered the first consignment shortly before 6am on a pebble beach between St Leonards-on-Sea and Hastings.
They alerted cops, and another haul weighing around 250 kilos was found by walkers later that morning at Newhaven.
The drugs weighed a combined total of 960 kilos which, if cut, has a street value of £80million.
The Sun understands the load has been under armed guard at a secret, secure location.

On Monday, dozens of cops and police vans swarmed the seafronts at both locations and shut them down to locals.
Armed police sealed off a car park at Newhaven after the load was found there at around 11am.
Firefighters helped move the drugs, which were taken away to the undisclosed site.
The Sun understands a package of cash was also found – though the value is not known.
A source said: “It’s believed that could’ve been the fee for whoever was supposed to be collecting it. They’ve lost out on a huge bung.”

Manhattan prosecutors in criminal probe into Trump Org convene grand jury to consider whether to INDICT the ex-President
The grand jury will sit three times a week for the next six months in New York
Grand jury will also weigh charges against other Trump Organization executives
He has been accused of inflating values of his assets for tax benefits
Trump is facing two investigations into his business practices at state level
He has denied wrongdoing and says the probes are just further examples of Democratic witch hunts
Michael Cohen praised the news of the formation of the grand jury in a tweet on Tuesday
'I am not surprised by this at all and have been steadfast in saying the wheels of justice turn slowly but they nevertheless turn. No one is above the law!!' he wrote
Manhattan prosecutors have convened the grand jury that will weigh criminal charges against Donald Trump, according to reports on Tuesday.
The grand jury will also consider whether other Trump Organization executives or the business itself will be prosecuted, The Washington Post reported.
Investigators are looking into whether his business manipulated the value of his real estate portfolio to defraud banks and insurance companies and if any tax benefits were obtained through the evaluations.
The president has denied any wrongdoing and believes all the investigations into him are just further examples of Democratic witch hunts.
The Post reported that the panel will sit for three days a week for roughly six months.
The members on the panel will hear a number of cases, which is traditional with New York State grand juries. They aren't convened on a case-by-case basis.
The convening of the grand jury is the latest development in Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance's case against the former president which has picked up steam in the last two weeks.
It also indicates Vance may have evidence of criminality against Trump, according to Rebecca Roiphe - a former assistant district attorney in Manhattan who is now a professor at New York Law School.

Rioter Headed To Prison For Role In Attempt To Burn Officers Alive Inside Seattle Precinct
Seattle – A 20-year-old Alaska man was sentenced today to 20 months in prison for conspiracy to commit arson in connection with the fire he set Monday, August 24, 2020, at the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct.
Desmond David-Pitts was arrested shortly after the blaze.
“A handful of people bent on destruction, by committing arson and threatening the safety of our community, also drowned out the important message of those who peacefully protest injustice,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Tessa M. Gorman. “This defendant joined with others to put Seattle Police Officers at risk. It is wholly appropriate that he spend time in prison as a consequence of his criminal acts.”
According to records filed in the case, David-Pitts had arrived in Seattle from Alaska just three days before the arson. After marching with the group of protestors in downtown Seattle, David-Pitts is seen on surveillance video piling up trash against the sally-port door at the Seattle Police East Precinct. Over an eleven-minute period, the surveillance video captures David-Pitts not only piling up the trash, but repeatedly lighting it on fire and feeding the flames with more trash. While David-Pitts was lighting the fire, other people who appeared on the surveillance were attempting to use crowbars and cement-like materials to try to disable the door next to the sally-port to prevent officers from exiting the building
At various times, David-Pitts was communicating with the black-clad individuals who were attempting to disable the door and light other fires around the building. Despite efforts to disable the door, officers were able to get outside and extinguish the flames. David-Pitts was seen on surveillance working with the others to cut through a chain-link fence that was a barrier around the building. All the fires were extinguished by Seattle Police Officers and members of the Seattle Fire Department.
David-Pitts was identified less than an hour later in the crowd outside the precinct because of the distinctive pink camouflage trousers he was wearing. He was arrested without incident.

CBP: Passenger arriving at JFK airport had unchecked handgun, cocaine; was caught because “carry-on bags felt unusually heavy”
JAMAICA, N.Y. — A traveler had more than clothes in his suitcase when he arrived at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers were there to stop him in his tracks.
On May 21, CBP officers intercepted passenger Elijiah Davis, a United States citizen, arriving from Montego Bay, Jamaica. During his examination, CBP officers discovered a handgun along with 40 – 9mm rounds in a hard case box. CBP officers continued the inspection and determined that the empty carry-on bags felt unusually heavy.
CBP officers discovered an anomaly after x-raying the carry-on bag and escorted Davis to a private search room where they discovered packages within the panels of the carry-on bag, the packages were probed revealing a white powder that tested positive for cocaine.
CBP officers continued their examination of Davis’ checked in bag discovering a small bag of green leafy substance which tested positive for marijuana.
Davis was arrested for the importation of a controlled substance and firearm; he was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The cocaine weighed approximately 10 lbs. with an estimated value of $300,000.
“This seizure demonstrates the vigilance and dedication demonstrated daily by CBP officers at our port of entries while keeping these dangerous narcotics off the streets of our communities,” said Marty Raybon, CBP’s Acting Director of the New York Field Office.

'Covid is only killing 80-year-olds': Dominic Cummings 'to accuse Boris Johnson of making shocking remark to justify delaying lockdown' when he gives bombshell evidence to MPs tomorrow
Dominic Cummings to appear in front of MPs tomorrow to answer questions on Government's Covid response
Reports claim he will allege Boris Johnson said 'Covid is only killing 80-year-olds' amid second lockdown calls
Came amid reports that some Conservative MPs fear Mr Cummings is plotting sensational political comeback
They believe Mr Cummings and the Minister for the Cabinet Office Michael Gove could be plotting to oust PM
Dominic Cummings will allege in his evidence to MPs that Boris Johnson said 'Covid is only killing 80-year-olds' when he delayed a national lockdown last autumn, it was claimed today.
Mr Cummings is due to give evidence tomorrow to a joint session of the health and science select committees on the Government's response to the coronavirus crisis.
The PM's former chief aide has already slammed ministers in a lengthy Twitter thread full of bombshell accusations.
But ITV News reported this afternoon that Mr Cummings will escalate his attack by setting out the PM's alleged defence for delaying a second national shutdown.
Number 10 is braced for a damaging onslaught from Mr Cummings, with Downing Street having previously kept its powder dry in the days leading up to his committee appearance.
However, sources hit back overnight at the claims made by Mr Cummings as they accused him of being a 'rank hypocrite' who is trying to 'rewrite history'.
It came as it was claimed that Tory MPs fear Mr Cummings and Michael Gove are working together to try to oust Mr Johnson from Number 10.

Sex-pest Tory MP Rob Roberts faces six-week BAN from the House of Commons for breaching sexual misconduct rules over 'repeated and unwanted sexual advances' towards man
Delyn MP, 41, faces a suspension for 'repeated and unwanted sexual advances'
He claimed his behaviour towards the man was 'romantic' rather than 'sexual'
But independent panel found he was guilty of 'significant' sexual misconduct
A sex-pest Tory PM is facing a six-week ban from Parliament for breaching sexual misconduct rules by making advances towards a man working in his office.
Delyn MP Rob Roberts, 41, faces a suspension for making 'repeated and unwanted sexual advances' after an independent panel ruled against him.
Mr Roberts had appealed the standards watchdog's findings, offering to apologise but denying he had breached sexual misconduct rules.
He had the whip suspended by the Conservative Party this morning but his separate Commons ban can only be imposed if agreed by MPs.
In the report, published today, he argued his behaviour - which included asking the man out for a drink - had not been 'sexual' but was instead 'romantic'.
But an Independent Expert Panel today found him guilty and recommended he serve a six-week suspension.
And under Commons rules, because the suspension was imposed by the IEP and not the Standards Commissioner, he will escape the prospect of a recall petition that could see him booted out.
The disgraced MP apologised and said the 'breach of trust' was 'completely improper and should not have happened'.
Sir Stephen Irwin, chairman of the IEP has said: 'The misconduct demonstrated here was significant.

Wallenberg family
The Walton and Wallenberg families are the epitome of corporate communists and Zionists.
The Swedish Wallenbergs are industrialists controlling many major corporations with Jacob Wallenberg as a board of director of NASDAQ. They use stock market fraud and covert insider trading for financing corruption and making bribes. Walmart is technically an illegal monopoly based on the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890. They are violating the Antitrust Act of 1890 in numerous ways as existing as monopolies and manipulating markets. They are criminally conspiring to monopolize industry with the intent of negatively effecting privately owned businesses that are not corporations. Their motive is destroying small businesses which destroys self reliance
The Wallenberg family are a prominent Swedish family, Europe's pre-eminent, most powerful business family and dynasty,[2] [3] renowned as bankers, industrialists, politicians, bureaucrats, and diplomats.
The Wallenberg sphere's holdings employ about 600,000 people and have sales of $154 billion a year.
The Wallenberg empire consists of 16 Wallenberg Foundations, Foundation Asset Management (FAM), Investor AB, Patricia Industries and Wallenberg Investments AB.
The Wallenbergs control and are majority owners of most large Swedish industrial groups, such as world leading telecommunication multinational Ericsson, Scandinavian and Baltic bank giant Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken, one of the world's largest paper and pulp multinationals Stora Enso, Wärtsilä, world's second largest appliance maker Electrolux, one of the world's largest power, automation and robotics multinationals ABB, one of Europe's largest aerospace and arms manufacturers SAAB, SAS Group, world's largest ball-bearing company SKF, Atlas Copco, pharmaceutical multinational Astra Zeneca, Nasdaq, Inc., Husqvarna, the Stockholm football club AIK, investment company Investor AB, the Grand Group hotel, BraunAbility, Epiroc, world's largest powdered metal company Höganäs AB, IPCO, Laborie, EQT Partners, Nefab, Permobil, Piab, Sobi, Sarnova, 3 Scandinavia, Kopparfors Skogar, Hylte Bruk AB and so on.
Former holdings include among others Scania AB and Saab Automobile.
In the 1970s, the Wallenberg family businesses employed 40% of Sweden's industrial workforce and represented 40% of the total worth of the Stockholm stock market.[4]
Wallenbergs, through the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, allocate annually SEK 2 billion to science and research, which makes the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation one of the largest private research foundations in Europe, and has, until 2020, awarded SEK 31.2 billion in grants.
The most famous of the Wallenbergs, Raoul Wallenberg, a diplomat, worked in Budapest, Hungary, during World War II to rescue Jews from the Holocaust. Between July and December 1944, he issued protective passports and housed Jews, saving tens of thousands of Jewish lives.[5]

A Murdered Central Banker’s Warning Changed Everything for SEB
SEB is still trying to figure out what went on over a decade ago, and is still going through “a lot of documents” from 2005 and 2006, he said. Management is “trying to do a forensic review of what happened 15 years ago.”
According to ABG Sundal Collier, the decline in SEB’s non-resident flows after 2006 show it was serious about trying to stop criminals from using its Estonian unit. ABG says that should limit the risk of costly probes and “huge fines.”
SEB was founded in 1856 by the Wallenberg family, which owns large chunks of corporate Sweden. The Wallenbergs were quick to throw their support behind the lender after it emerged that about $30 billion in non-resident Estonian flows were exposed to the risk of money laundering. Swedish media also claim that about $50 million that moved through SEB can be linked to Russian tax fraud that Sergei Magnitsky died trying to investigate. Magnitsky was the lawyer of Hermitage Capital Management co-founder Bill Browder, who has made it his mission to chase down those tied to the case.

DHS chief wants to make 'significant changes' to ICE as deportations, arrests plunge
ICE issued officers new, narrowed guidance in February
Department of Homeland Secretary (DHS) Alejandro Mayorkas says he wants to make "significant changes" to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – an agency that has seen a rapid reduction in its enforcement scope and has seen arrests and deportations of illegal immigrants plummet since President Biden took office.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Mayorkas said that his agency is conducting a review of ICE and its priorities, and that he expects "significant changes" when that review is complete.
"What those changes will be, I am wrestling with right now, quite frankly," Mayorkas said, the newspaper reported.
It is not clear whether Mayorkas will loosen or tighten the already-strict guidance imposed by the Biden administration on the men and women of ICE in February.
After the Biden administration’s attempt to impose a radical 100-day moratorium on deportations was shut down by a judge in response to a Texas lawsuit, the administration issued new guidance dramatically narrowing the illegal immigrants that ICE officers can target for arrest and deportation.
The new rules limit ICE officers to targeting on recent border crossers, national security threats and "aggravated felons." While officials note that technically no one is ruled out of being deported, ICE officers who want to arrest someone outside of those categories need preapproval from a superior. Separately, DHS has also now barred ICE from making arrests at or near courthouses.
The guidance is temporary, but the effects have been dramatic. Deportations have plummeted, with less than 3,000 illegal immigrants deported in April – down 20% from March.

Yale Bans Outside Candidates From Running for Board in ‘Middle Finger’ to Alumni
The Yale Corporation will handpick future board members
Yale University's board of trustees will no longer allow independent candidates to run for the school's governing body, doing away with a key mechanism independent and conservative alumni have used to seek representation.
Senior Trustee Catharine Bond Hill announced Monday that the board, also known as the Yale Corporation, was eliminating the petition process through which candidates not handpicked by the university could seek election. The move comes just months after the first petition candidate in nearly 20 years, Victor Ashe, secured a spot on the ballot.
While Yale says the decision will stop well-funded, "issue-based candidates" from bringing politics to Yale's board room, critics say the move stifles alumni and candidates who have for years tried to peer behind the curtain concealing the Yale Corporation's decisions.
Ashe, a long-serving former mayor of Knoxville, Tenn., and the ambassador to Poland in both the Bush and Obama administrations, lost the election to Morehouse College president Daniel Thomas, whom Yale's Alumni Fellow Nominating Committee hand-selected as its nominee.
Ashe told the Washington Free Beacon that eliminating the petition process was "a move out of Vladimir Putin's playbook" and "stifled" alumni voices. Ashe questioned whether the change will face legal questioning, as the rules that govern the Yale Corporation are woven into the Connecticut state constitution.
James Kirchick, a conservative journalist, attempted to get on the ballot just two years ago. Kirchick called the corporation's move a "middle finger" to graduates.
"Canceling the election and doing it so brazenly looks terrible for the university and shows a real lack of concern or lack of interest in what the alumni have to say about the university," Kirchick told the Free Beacon. "They're giving the middle finger to the alumni."
The organization’s governing body operates "like a provincial Soviet commissar," Kirchick continued. The board doesn't just want to silence conservative voices, he said, but also attempts to "exclude anyone who questions their orthodoxies." The board has also thwarted more left-leaning candidates, including the last successful petition candidate, a local black preacher named David Lee.
Alumni at other Ivy League schools have had better luck breaking into the halls of power behind America's top universities. A handful of insurgent candidates at Dartmouth College ran successful bids for the school's governing board in the mid-2000s and made national headlines for doing so.
The Yale Corporation handed down its decision the same day that three petition candidates launched their campaign for the 2022 board election. The Yale Daily News on Monday reported that candidates Zoraya Hightower, Gail Lavielle, and Andrew Lipka ran on a number of issues but shared one common goal: "reforming the Corporation election process."
The candidates were given the green light to begin their campaigns on May 21, just before the board announced its decision, which effectively cancels their bids.
