Dominion Blames “Human Error” For Voting Machines Mislabeling Republican Ballots in PA County

Pennsylvania – Dominion Voting Systems blamed “human error” for voting machines mislabeling Luzerne County Republican ballots in last week’s primary.

Republican ballots were mislabeled as Democrat ones on electronic screen at polling locations.

But Dominion says it wasn’t their fault.

“Dominion deeply regrets the confusion this error caused,” Nicole Nollette, the executive vice president of operations at Dominion said.

The Times Leader reported:

Dominion Voting Systems Inc., which supplied and programs the devices, said “human error” caused the data entry typographical mistake in the heading at the top of the ballot, according to company executive vice president of operations Nicole Nollette.

And county Administrative Services Division Head David Parsnik acknowledged the county does not test the on-screen ballots after they are approved. The county leaves it up to Dominion to program them into the electronic ballot marking devices with no county examination before the machines are locked up for delivery, he said.

The explanation came during a more than two-hour special meeting called by the county’s volunteer citizen Election Board solely to address the ballot mislabeling error.

The incorrect ballot heading impacted all Republican ballots countywide. The mistake prompted many Republicans to question the accuracy of the ballot and voting process. Some Democrats also reported they incorrectly received Republican ballots on their screens because that ballot also had a Democratic heading.

Election Board Chairwoman Denise Williams asked Dominion and the county administration what they will do differently to prevent this from happening again.

Nollette said her company will improve its data entry proofing and work with the county.

Republican leaders in Luzerne County are calling for a third-party to conduct a forensic audit.

“These machines — their credibility is lost,” said Election Board member Missy Thomas on Monday. “The system is compromised.”

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld took aim at media for driving people away from the lab-leak theory of the novel coronavirus’ origin by painting it as a conspiracy theory.

Gutfeld said on Tuesday’s broadcast of “The Five” that journalists had pushed people to ignore what appeared to be the most obvious answer because they allowed their hatred of former President Donald Trump to convince them that what he believed could not be true.

“The poor pangolin got blamed for everything and now the bats are getting blamed,” cohost Katie Pavlich began, noting that the New York Times appeared to be blaming Trump for discrediting the very lab-leak theory he said he believed.

“President Trump and Mike Pompeo, the secretary of state, both suggested they had seen evidence that this was formed in a lab and they also suggested it was not released on purpose but they refused to release the evidence showing what it was. So because of that, it made this instantly political I think, example 1,000 when the Trump Administration learned that when you have burned your own credibility over and over again, people are not immediately going to believe you,” the NYT’s Maggie Haberman told CNN’s John Berman.

“Burning credibility, Greg,” Pavlich prompted Gutfeld.

“That’s rich. This answers a question, when Dana says why wouldn’t you believe Pompeo? They wouldn’t have diminished the lab theory if it wasn’t for their emotional hatred for Trump. Their emotional dislike actually prevented them from logically thinking about this,” Gutfeld replied.

Sweeping Bill to Counter China Introduced in US House

WASHINGTON—U.S. efforts to address competition with China progressed on Tuesday when the chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee introduced sweeping legislation to boost economic competitiveness and push Beijing on human rights.

Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) introduced the “Ensuring American Global Leadership and Engagement Act,” or EAGLE Act, as the U.S. Senate separately heads toward a vote on its own legislative package seeking to counter China.

The desire for a hard line in dealings with China is one of the few truly bipartisan sentiments in the deeply divided U.S. Congress, which is narrowly controlled by President Joe Biden’s fellow Democrats.

The Biden administration supports efforts to counter China, with officials repeatedly listing competition with Beijing among their greatest strategic challenges.

The 470-page bill introduced by Meeks addresses a range of issues, including increased investment to promote U.S. manufacturing, trade, work with allies and partners, re-engagement in international organizations, and recognition of the treatment of China’s Uyghur Muslim minority as genocide.

“The United States must coordinate closely with allies and partners to compete effectively with (China), including to encourage allies and partners to assume, as appropriate, greater roles in balancing and checking aggressive (Chinese) behavior,” the legislation said.

A committee aide said Meeks intends to work with committee Republicans on the legislation, in the hope of committee passage as soon as next month. The measure would then be combined with legislation being considered by other House committees, and eventually combined with the Senate bill.

The House bill includes provisions to increase U.S. support for Taiwan and pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong. And it mandates a review to assess Chinese companies listing on U.S. financial markets, including whether they have contributed to human rights violations.

CORPORATE MIGRATION: MSNBC Founder Demands Libs to Move to Red States.

The founder of MSNBC appeared on Morning Joe to propose a new, “radical” plan to turn red states blue by the relocation of left-leaning employees to conservative swing states by major corporations.

Tom Rogers, who is both MSNBC founder and currently a Newsweek editor-at-large, recently wrote in a column:

“Essentially, I am proposing creating a corporate initiative to turn demography into political destiny for key swing states. If corporate America decided that it would support a new Corporate Great Migration to swing states of women, young and diverse employees – those most likely to vote against Big Lie candidates. . .this could reshape the voter demography of those states in a short period of time. . .if corporations truly believe that the future of our democracy is at stake, is it really too radical to attempt?”

In the piece, which was explicitly partisan, Rogers said that “large corporations” ought to “support the Democratic Party” to ensure that the election fraud “narrative” and consequent voting reforms are shut down.

Stating a desire to bypass state legislatures and Congress, Rogers said he was inspired by the “great migration[s]” of black Americans from the South to the North starting in 1916. He claimed the moves were occasioned by economic incentives and the desire to escape “[r]acism,” while not mentioning that the racism in the South at the time came from Democrats.

In a post-pandemic world, Rogers claimed, it is easier than ever to have employees work online or “from home” while being relocated. He advocated giving “incentives to people to move to Florida, to Texas, to North Carolina, to Georgia, to Arizona. Nice weather, lower cost of living, lower taxes, and in so doing, probably accomplish a whole lot more in terms of demography and its ultimate impact without at all affecting profits of corporations.” Rogers did not address the fact that relocating leftist employees has the goal of changing policies to erase incentives such as “lower taxes.”

Rogers ended by claiming his proposal is both democratic and capitalistic, “We’ve got to do something and the question is, would this be a way for corporations to affect a more democratic end, which in the end is all about capitalism, too. CEOs came forward because at the heart of this, it’s how do you protect American capitalism?”

Brzezinski thanked Rogers at the end of the segment, saying, “Good debate, Tom Rogers, thank you very much for your radical proposal. Really appreciate it.”

Marilyn Manson Wanted On ‘Active Arrest Warrant’ In New Hampshire

MANSON WANTED IN “SNOT ROCKET” ATTACK ON CAMERAWOMAN

GILFORD, N.H. – Police in New Hampshire have issued an active arrest warrant for musician Marilyn Manson on assault charges.

The Gilford Police Department is seeking to arrest Brian Hugh Warner, AKA Marilyn Manson, for two counts of simple assault stemming from a 2019 incident at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. The alleged assaults involved a videographer.

Police say Warner, his agent and legal counsel have been aware of the warrant for some time and no effort has been made by him to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges.

According to police:

• Mr. Warner had been performing a concert at the Bank of NH Pavilion on August 18, 2019, when the alleged simple assaults occurred.

• The issuance of an arrest warrant is not a presumption of guilt.

• The videographer had been subcontracted by a NH based company to video the concert, and had been located in the stage pit area when the alleged assaults occurred.

• A Class A misdemeanor in NH can carry a possible jail sentence of less than one year and a fine of $2,000.00 or less.

• The alleged assaults are not sexual in nature as has been asked by several other media outlets due to a number of other allegations made against Mr. Warner.

“He was spitting everywhere and one time it got on her camera so she wiped it off and looked semi-irritated. He noticed this and kept purposely spitting on her camera,” one attendee told PEOPLE. “I think her final straw is he got on the floor, got within 2-3 feet of her and hacked a giant snot rocket at her not the camera. She was pissed off and disgusted so she stormed off and he just laughed.”

“I stopped listening to his music after that and told my husband I would never go to another one of his concerts again,” the witness said.

A second attendee also said Manson “bent down to shoot his snot all over this woman. I can remember him just laughing about what he did.”

“I was right there when it happened, she was beyond furious when he did that to her,” said another witness. “He spit on her a couple of times and then leaned real close to the camera and blew a huge snot rocket on her. After he did that, she almost threw her camera right down on the ground.”

“It is no secret to anyone who has attended a Marilyn Manson concert that he likes to be provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera,” Manson’s attorney Howard King said in a statement to PEOPLE. “This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply.”

US to reopen Jerusalem consulate, restoring ties with Palestinians, Blinken says during Middle Eastern tour

The US consulate in Jerusalem which was shut down under President Donald Trump will be reopened, Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced, while also promising millions of dollars in aid to Gaza and Palestinians.

The announcement was made after Blinken's talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday.

“The US will go forward with the reopening of its consulate in Jerusalem. This is an important step,” the secretary of state said.

The Biden administration is committed to “rebuilding the relationship with the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian people, a relationship built on mutual respect and also a shared conviction that Palestinians and Israelis alike deserve equal measures of security, freedom opportunity and dignity,” Blinken added.

According to Blinken, the US opposes any unilateral actions that could undermine peace between the Israeli and Palestinians, including “settlement activity, home demolitions, annexation of territory, incitement to violence or compensation of individuals who committed acts of terror.”

Speaking alongside Blinken at a press conference after their talks, Abbas thanked the US administration for its support for a two-state solution, adding: “We hope that the future is full of diplomatic activities led by the US and the Quartet [the US, EU, Russia and UN], so as to reach a just, comprehensive solution based on international law.”

The consulate, which for decades served a key role in US diplomatic relations with Palestinians, was closed in 2019 by Trump. Its functions were passed on to the US ambassador to Israel when the US embassy was controversially moved to Jerusalem. The city is claimed as capital by both Israelis and Palestinians.

Reopening the consulate was one of Joe Biden's campaign promises during last year's presidential race. Blinken didn't specify when exactly the consulate will be operational again.

The secretary of state said that Washington will provide $75 million in development and economic aid to Palestinians in 2021, as well as $5.5 million in immediate disaster relief for Gaza and $32 million to UN Palestinian aid agency, UNRWA.

During his earlier meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Blinken stressed that Washington would work with its partners “to ensure that Hamas doesn't benefit from the reconstruction assistance.”

Gaza was heavily battered by Israeli airstrikes while Hamas fired hundreds of missiles towards Israel during a recent 11-day conflict, in which more than 250 people – mainly Palestinians – were killed.

Blinken is set to travel to Egypt and Jordan as part of his Middle East tour this week.

Over 10,000 Americans got Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated, CDC says… and actual count could be way HIGHER

Thousands of Americans have caught Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said – but they insist the data suggests such “breakthrough” infections are relatively rare.

There were 10,262 cases of fully vaccinated people being infected with Covid-19 as of April 30, the CDC said on Tuesday, citing reports from 46 US states and territories. Less than 7% of the patients were hospitalized with Covid-19 symptoms, and 1.6%, or 160, died. The median age for all cases was 58, and 63% of those infected were female.

The number of breakthrough infections was equivalent to around 1 in every 10,000 fully vaccinated people, but the total was substantially undercounted. The CDC said reporting of such cases is voluntary and doesn't include vaccinated people who had no Covid-19 symptoms and weren't tested. But it also noted that 101 million Americans were fully vaccinated as of April 30, and the vast majority of those inoculated were protected from the virus.

“The number of Covid-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths that will be prevented among vaccinated persons will far exceed the number of vaccine breakthrough cases,” the CDC said.

Sequencing data on breakthrough infections suggests that the Covid-19 vaccines being used in the US are about equally effective against various variants of the virus. Around 64% of the cases involved “variants of concern,” such as the UK Covid-19 variant, the CDC said. As of late March and early April, those same variants accounted for approximately 70% of the overall Covid-19 cases in the US, the agency said.

However, the CDC had sequencing data available for only around 5% of breakthrough infections. And as of May 1, the agency stopped monitoring minor breakthrough Covid-19 cases and began focusing only on those leading to hospitalization or death.
