Was this leaked from Pompeos investigation and did he use Fort Detrick to investigate because Faucci's NIH was implicated

Current and former officials familiar with the intelligence about the lab researchers expressed differing views about the strength of the supporting evidence for the assessment. One person said that it was provided by an international partner and was potentially significant but still in need of further investigation and additional corroboration.

Another person described the intelligence as stronger. "The information that we had coming from the various sources was of exquisite quality. It was very precise. What it didn’t tell you was exactly why they got sick," he said, referring to the researchers.

November 2019 is roughly when many epidemiologists and virologists believe SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind the pandemic, first began circulating around the central Chinese city of Wuhan, where Beijing says that the first confirmed case was a man who fell ill on Dec. 8, 2019.

Marion Koopmans, a Dutch virologist on that team told NBC News in March that some WIV staff did fall sick in the autumn of 2019, but she attributed that to regular, seasonal sickness.

"There were occasional illnesses because that’s normal. There was nothing that stood out," she said. "Maybe one or two. It’s certainly not a big, big thing."

Anything else?

The Wall Street Journal reported on American intelligence over the weekend that stated three researchers at the Wuhan lab became sick enough with COVID-like symptoms in November 2019 that they required hospitalization.

The revelation moves the COVID-19 timeline forward about one month. China has claimed "patient-zero" was confirmed in December.

A 55-year-old individual from Hubei province in China may have been the first person to have contracted COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus spreading across the globe. That case dates back to Nov. 17, 2019, according to the South China Morning Post.

That's more than a month earlier than doctors noted cases in Wuhan, China, which is in Hubei province, at the end of December 2019. At the time, authorities suspected the virus stemmed from something sold at a wet market in the city. However, it's now clear that early in what is now a pandemic, some infected people had no connection to the market. That included one of the earliest cases from Dec. 1, 2019 in an individual who had no link to that seafood market, researchers reported Jan. 20 in the journal The Lancet.

A modern-day confluence of former President Donald Trump's America First/Make America Great Again doctrines and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's mid-90s Contract With America is being worked up for the 2022 midterm elections.

The playbook on the America First/MAGA Contract was discussed between the political powerhouses, along with former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., at Mar-a-Lago in recent weeks, sources told Politico.

The document, billed by the source as "a policy priority for 2022 and beyond," will lay out the future for America on behalf of the Republican Party as it lays plans to regain majorities in both the House and Senate.

Trump's hands-on approach to writing GOP plans for 2022 and beyond shows he has more than mere supporting interests in politics, potentially aiming at regaining Congress to set up an official 2024 run for reelection.
