CLUB22 and ODIN97 both up and getting out of Lincoln, NE.
I knew when I saw ODIN (then 98) go into Lincoln from Warner Robins right after all the other birds (including GORDO15) had just cleared out, that he was getting some stuff or crews and would be bailing shortly…and now this.
Something is definitely going on with Lincoln since all these birds are leaving to other bases. See >>13760819 PB
All the National Emergency Airborne Command Posts just did an evac out of Nebraska and a lot of other high value strategic birds bailed out with them. Don't know why, but doubt it's anything good.
HQ for our strategic forces and lots of really important infrastructure, people, and planes.
Based in Omaha at Offutt AFB, but a lot of the aircraft were at Lincoln while the runway at Offutt was getting repaired from all the 'accidental' flooding that wrecked the whole base.
I spent a couple years there courtesy of Uncle Sam. Did.not.like
The AWACS have been getting in their hours the past month or so for sure. The Lincoln total bailout is what has me scratching my head. Bad place to see an evac like that…kinda doomy.
Nebraska. If I was into farming it would've been heaven. Farming and freezing. not my jam.
Can't wait.
I didn't know about any of this stuff when I was there. That said, I did not like the place or anything about it.
