>- Fair point, let's wing it and at least find an Anon Notetaker for each bread to take Notes moving foward.

I like the idea of "solving it through software" but as another anon says, this board has a finite useful lifetime.

My thought is: add a checkbox 'Notable' to each post, that people can click. These are saved by the system; the next bread, the Notables section will be composed of the posts that people clicked on. It has been proven that "Notables can be auto-generated from posts" to various degrees of success.

Initially, it could be merely "two or more clicks, it's on the list" but of course that can be gamed (any system can be) so I like the Slashdot idea of giving the user control over the view: allow the user to "move a slider" (or other control) to change the threshold at which a post will show up in the Notables section, so anyone can choose whether 3 others agreeing should be the limit, or 7 others, etc.

Giving the user the choice is almost always the best option. But remember MySpace. :)

No kidding, that's why I wrote:

I know it can be gamed. Let it. Raise the threshold. Raise the (your) game.

Everything is comped, so do nothing?

Don't retard us all.

Take good ideas from wherever you find them.

Obviously I'm not saying "run Slashdot's code" and it takes time to write code as I said initially this board has a lifespan.

You sound black-pilled. No solution will work? Let's go back to tin cans and string?
