Him attempting to stay in office would've ended the United States and he would have eventually been hanging from a rope. While I do agree with you in principle, that course of action would have been disastrous.
You'd have some military for Trump staying, others against, and a split and infighting in the services. Nothing he said or did could be believed. All his actions would be interpreted as a play to legitimize his power. For example: if he had irrefutable proof from the NSA of theft while keeping Biden out of the WH, it would be censored and called a fabrication by all Social and mainstream media. Also he would be governing without a congress. Lincoln had a Congress at least, albeit a reduced one, but still it functioned as written out by the constitution. The amount of shit that would go wrong with Trump staying in the WH is more than I could write in one sitting.
Biden is not a threat. He has too many skeletons. Easily controlled. Puppet strings too easily pulled by white hat 3 letters or white hat Military intelligence. Biden is building the wall. Biden is exposing China virus. Biden is backing Taiwan. Biden attacked Iranian assets in Syria. Trump is insulated.
Senate is controlled. Filibuster blocks whatever is destructive to the country. Think voting reform bill, think January 6th commission. Dems don't have the votes to get rid of the filibuster.
Senate was the target.
Don't get me started on how having Trump out of the WH as election fraud is exposed (at State level by state institutions) as opposed to it being exposed while he held onto power is infinitely more optically appeasing. To quote Q:
